Chapter 34
Artemis Crock jumped from a bay door in the side of the alien warship, several lasers were fired wildly after her, she pulled the detonator from her belt as the lasers narrowly missed her but it was ripped from her hand flying away beneath her before she had a chance to push the little red button on top, she searched for it but it had already disappeared from sight, she curled her legs back causing her to spin in the air before forcing her legs straight again reorienting herself upside down, she pressed her arms to her body and clamped her legs tightly together causing her to fall faster.
Artemis broke through a thick layer of clouds, the city now fully visible beneath her, she extended her arms and legs and began decelerating so quickly that it sent a rattling pain through her body, she clenched her teeth through the pain as she searched for the detonator and as the pain subsided she spotted it falling rapidly a few feet above her.

Supergirl spat a thick wad of blood as she struggled to stand,
“Your fight is futile young 1, give up and I will allow you to live as my slave when we have conquered your world” 1 of the large alien soldiers said, his words slurred,
“I’m not giving up my home that easily, if you want it then I’m making you fight for it” Kara answered, every word painful to choke out, the citadel soldiers responded by swinging straight for her face with his next punch, she launched off the ground flying right beneath his arm before crashing to the ground a couple feet away,
“You are far too weak for this to be fun for much longer” He taunted, his large hand wrapped around her forearm and dangled her off the ground by it, she weakly forced her face up toward the sky, the soldier saw the sun glint off her left eye as a red tear rolled down the side of her face, he scoffed, “Look everyone, Earth's champion brought to tears” He mocked, then he saw a second glint of the sun off her eyes and the corners of her lips turned upward just slightly, he was confused and missed his chance to react before being struck by the hot laser from her eyes.
