Chapter 35
“Help” A middle aged woman cried as she pulled at a pile of loose rubble blocking the entrance to a damaged apartment building, 2 children stood behind her crying, while a teenage girl holding a baby was doing everything she could to calm them,
“Ma’am, are you okay?” Prophet asked, her boots skidding on the loose stone and concrete that coated the sidewalk.
“My daughter, she’s still in there” The woman cried as she continued yanking at a steel rod wedged in the pile of debris,
“Don’t do that, it could make it worse” Prophet ordered, “I’ll take care of her, you guys need to go to the Titan tower, go through the lobby and ride the elevator down to floor B2, there’s enough food and water to last you through this” The woman turned to her frantically,
“I need to get my daughter out of there” She insisted,
“You’ve done everything you can, I’ll save her” Prophet promised, the woman studied her for a moment, clearly hesitant, finally she collected the children and quickly led them down the street, stopping once for a desperate look back at Prophet before disappearing around a corner.
Once the mother was gone Prophet extended her arms towards the collapsed entryway, the wood and stone emitted a glow as it was pulled aside to form a small jagged hole, Prophet adjusted her feet as she prepared to make a mad dash towards the new opening, she closed her eyes as her head began to ache, sweat pouring down her face and soaking the back of her uniform, she took a deep breath, and charged forward, as soon as she was on the move the rubble began folding back in on itself and she realized she wasn't going to make it.

Prophet tripped as she tried to come to a sudden stop, she squeezed her eyes shut tight as she went down, her shoulder slammed against a hard into the wall sending pain shooting through her body, her arm went painfully numb, she hit the wall but didn’t bounce off, instead it was as though the world had turned on its side and she was laying on it, when she opened her eyes she found that the building was gone and she was instead laying in a desert of thick red sand, she sat up and looked around, there was a large black stone archway a few feet away, beyond it was a building made of the same black stone that looked like a church or a small castle, with 2 towers on either side of a set of thick, dark wooden double doors.
Prophet pushed herself up onto her feet and started down the uneven stone path that had been covered by sand, she walked under the dark arch and as she got closer she heard a choir chanting in a language she didn't recognize, she stopped when she saw the large circular stained glass window above the doors, the window depicted a large red figure with black horns and bent, black animal legs, its arms outstretched in a sinister welcome, Prophet's heart pounded as she willed herself to continue inside.
The chanting grew louder as Prophet stepped over the threshold, tall stained glass windows lined the walls leading to a black marble altar at the far end, atop the altar sat a black skull that was large enough for Prophet to curl up inside, above the altar was another large stained glass window that Prophet couldn’t tear her eyes away from as she drew closer, it showed the large red demonic figure floating in the air with his arms outstretched like the 1 above the doors, 4 black tendrils ran from him into a small, dark haired, nude female figure with oily black eyes that floated beneath him, on the ground below them were several naked human figures bowing to them.
The pounding pain in Prophet's head became staggering as a deep echoing laugh rattled her bones, she turned around to see where it was coming from and found herself inside the lobby of the apartment building with the debris still filling the hole she had opened up.
