Chapter 33
Captain Bartholomew pulled a woman from the remains of her car,
“Are you ok?” He asked, she nodded,”Then get to the bridge, you’ll be safe once you’re out of the city” He instructed, the woman nodded before started down the street,
“We’re all clear over here” Balisong called from an empty storefront, Robin and the 4 soldiers regrouped at the intersection they had split up at,
“We’re about to be too far to send them back alone” Celeste said in a low Brooklyn accent,
“I’m pretty sure there’s a bus depot just ahead” Dick said pointing down the street, Bartholomew nodded,
“Alright, Celeste and I will go ahead and check it out, the rest of you find somewhere high enough to hit those ships, it’s time we hit back, hard” He ordered.

“They’re all in place” The boy said, handing his partner the detonator,
“Then it’s time we make our exit” She responded, suddenly a laser whizzed past them, “Go” She shouted, he took off down the corridor as she ducked around a corner, she took a slow breath and shook the tension from her hands as lasers burnt the metal floor and walls, she heard the aliens approaching and pulled an arrow from her quiver.
Beast Boy caught the Citadel soldiers with a blow under the chin and followed it up with a strike to his right temple, he was winding up for a finale strike when 1 of the other soldiers grabbed him from behind, the massive arms sliding under his armpits and looping over his shoulders forcing his arms back, a few feet away Wondergirl was stepping backward to avoid a downward strike from the 3rd alien whose fist struck the ground in front of her, she leapt forward and kicked off its elbow, launching herself over his head, she landed behind it and slung her lasso around its right ankle, the creature spun counter clockwise to face her but Donna was already moving around it in the opposite direction so its movement only further tangled its legs in the rope so when Donna pulled tight on the lasso it went down hard.
