Chapter 29
Kara slammed through a window 120 stories off the ground, with the base crumbling she knew couldn’t catch it, so she opted for rescuing anybody still inside, she worked her way quickly down the top 37 floors and found them all empty the next floor she caught 2 women who were falling through the collapsing floor, 5 floors lower she saw 3 men who had smashed through a window and were hurtling towards the ground.
Kara sped around debris, she caught 1 of the men by his shirt and looped her other arm around another, she dropped them on the sidewalk and flew back up to catch the 3rd, she rejoined him to his coworkers before continuing her search, on the 12th floor she found 2 women and carried them out to the other 5, she rushed back in and found a single man in the lobby.
Kara batted away chunks of metal and concrete as the building came down across the street, when the building had come down she sent the group off to find shelter and stood leaning against a wall, trying to catch her breath, her uniform drenched in sweat, while she was recovering she answered Rachel's call, and when Rachel went to call Dick Kara went to look for others to help.

“Donna, Donna” Garfield called, as he climbed over a downed lamp pole, the air was thick with dust and cement,
“I’m here” Donna yelled back, when Garfield found her she was getting unsteadily to her feet,
“Are you alright?” He asked, helping her steady herself, she nodded,
“I’m fine, get inside and check on everyone in there, I’ll do the same with everyone out here” She instructed, Garfield nodded and ran off toward the firestation.
Kara had just finished clearing the door to a grocery store when Rachel’s voice came back over her earpiece,
“Kara, how is everything going?” She asked,
“Ok, any luck getting ahold of Robin?” Kara asked,
“Yes, he says to work on getting people to safety” Rachel answered,
“Already on it” Kara responded,
“Keep in touch” Rachel said, Kara smiled,
“You got it.”
The explosion the boy and girl had set off had pulled all the attention toward the roof of the ship, so they made their way through the maze of corridors uninhibited,
“Get to the engine room, I’ve got your back” She said, quietly, the boy nodded and took off, the girl followed slowly behind him down the dark hall until she came to an open door with voices coming from inside, she stood at the edge of the metal frame, took a calm breath in, rounded the corner, drawing her weapon, she took aim and fired.
