When Yona woke up, Raioten was gone. He had been taken by the Warden for more training. Yona heard the sounds of the entrance door opening, signaling a new prisoner. She dashed over and introduced herself to a newlywed couple. Yasu and Marina had recently gotten married before being abducted from their homes. Thinking of each other allowed them both to find the strength to survive the initial experimentaion.
Yona: Aww! You two are sooooooo CUUUUTE! If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask!
Yasu: Thank you very much miss.
Yona: Of course! My name is Yona! So what did you guys do before you came here?
Yasu: . . .
Yona: Look I'm sorry, I'm just trying to ease the tension the best I can.
Marina: I was an educator, high school engineering.
Yasu: I was a therapist.
Yona: I see, well try not to be strangers!
Being hesitant to trust anyone, the couple elected to stay to themselves, avoiding all contact. Understanding their feelings, Yona pointed out the facilities and kept her distance. That first night Yasu did his best to comfort Marina about their new situation.
Yasu: Don't worry baby, we're going to make it out of here together. I'm going to go grab us some food okay?
She only nodded through her tears. As Yasu walked towards the cafeteria, he noticed a plethora of eyes watching his every move. Entering the cafeteria, Yasu was immediately surrounded by other prisoners.
Yasu: Oh, that's not great. How's it going gentlemen?
The men slowly walked towards him.
Yasu: Well, I tried.
Yona was training when she decided to go check on Marina and Yasu. She was shocked to see Marina alone.
Yona: Where is Yasu!?
Marina: Hey Yona, he just stepped out for some food.
Yona: At this hour!?
Yona dashed out of the room at full speed towards the cafeteria. When she arrived at the outside, she had to step over a few unconscious men. She got more and more worried as she walked into the cafeteria. The tables and chairs inside looked like they were blown around by a tornado. Yona looked around frantically for any sign of Yasu. She calmed down and closed her eyes. She focused in on a strange sensation.
Yona: (There's two people over there. One must be Yasu!)
Yona sprinted like a bullet to a table turned on its side. She lifted it over her head to see a familiar face sitting with Yasu.
Yona: Blue! What are you doing here?
The two were breathing heavily together after having fought off the aggressor group.
Yasu: This little guy saved my life. *to Raioten* so I can just call you Blue then?
Raioten nodded, injured in many places and still out of breath. Yasu put his hand on top of Raioten's head.
Yasu: Thank you Blue, I mean it. There's no way I would've made it out of this alive if it weren't for you.
Raioten smiled before falling over, his legs having given out. Yona picked him up and carried him on her back as she escorted Yasu back to his room. Marina was grateful to Raioten for his help.
Marina: Thank you so much little guy! Yona he is so cuuuute! He's gonna be one hell of a heartbreaker when he gets older.
Yona: Definitely. Hey Blue, when you get married, you better save me a seat right up front!
Raioten looked on in confusion at the two women. When he looked at Yasu for answers, the man just shrugged. Yona's tone switched to being serious out of nowhere. She bowed in front of the couple to apologize.

Yona: I'm sorry. I completely forgot to tell you two to stay in your cell at night.
Yasu: Oh, it's no worry at all. You live and you learn I guess haha.
Yona: I like your attitude but still, you could've died tonight. I will be your bodyguard from now on, you and Marina.
Yasu: That's very kind, thank you. Now I've got two bodyguards it seems.
Yona: Speaking on Blue, when did you meet him?
Yasu: Just then actually. I was getting swarmed and the kid just came running straight towards me. He ran right past a crowd of guys and jumped in front of a knife to save me.
Yona: (I wonder...) He ran straight to you, past everyone?
Yasu: Yeah, he's my hero.
On the higher floors of the Tower, the workers were in a panic. Alarms were blaring loudly, signaling that another Tower was under attack. The Warden received a call from the Tower in question. The men on the other line were facing an insurmountable force.
Warden: Hello, do you copy? What's your status?!
??: We're fucked man, FUCKED! Do NOT send help, it's all over!
Warden: Calm down soldier and explain your situation.
??: I don't know what the hell is going on man, I don't get paid enough for this shit. I was on break and some fucking FIRE DEMON blew the roof off the Tower. We're powerless!
Warden: Fire demon? Describe it the best you can now!
??: It's all flames, NOOOOOOO-
The phone line was taken out before the Warden could hear a description.
Warden: Dammit! (Fire demon.... I have to risk it!) *to his subordinates* You! Gather the first and second squadron, we have a mission. The squadron geared up for their mission. Energy rifles and knives adorned their bodies. They all lined up in front of the Warden. He handed a slip of paper to the leader of the squads.
Warden: Head to this address and follow the instructions. You cannot fail this mission or this entire Tower and all others are in jeopardy.
Leader: Yes sir!
The men all went out with purpose. . .
Yona, back down in the prisoner's quarters, tucked Raioten in bed after bandaging his wounds. Yasu and Marina joined them in their cell. Yona glared at Yasu. She grabbed him by his shirt, lifting him off of the ground.
Yona: You wanna explain to me how little Blue has worse injuries than you?
Yasu: I was going to ask you about him. The kid didn't attack anyone. He only defended me like I was the child. Every time I made a mistake or was about to be caught off guard, he was there. I tried my best to take out everyone as quickly as I could to protect him, I'm sorry.
Yona relaxed a bit hearing his story and placed her hand on Raioten's shoulder. He rolled over and grabbed her arm.
Yona: He doesn't like violence. Blue is too sweet for a place like this. *beginning to cry* He doesn't deserve any of this, it isn't fair. I can't do anything for him to ease his suffering. I'm so useless!
Marina came in to hug Yona as she cried.
Marina: You are not useless Yona! You're doing everything you can for little Blue. That's all anyone could ever ask for in a mother, your love for him is clear as day.
Yona: But he's- I'm not his mother.
Yasu: Listen, when you care that much for someone, you're a mother. No two ways about it.
Yona: But- but what if he has a mother waiting for him?
Yasu: I bet she'll be happy to know her boy had another one to look after him.
Yona began to cry more and requested some alone time for some rest. She held Raioten close and fell into a peaceful sleep. Early in the morning, the two squads finally reached their destination. The first squadron radioed the Warden, explaining their situation as they infiltrated an isolated home.
Warden: Move in immediately, we don't have much time to waste!
Leader 1: We're moving in now.
The Warden listened to screaming and gunfire as the first squad breached the home.
Leader 1: We've got the target and we're on our way b- who is this?
Warden: Hey! Ignore anyone that is not the target! Head back now!
The communication line went completely dark.
Warden: Squad two, move in now!
Leader 2: Yes sir!
The second squad moved in towards the last location of the first.
Leader 2: What the hell?
Warden: What happened? Report now!
Leader 2: There's nothing, everything's gone.
Warden: What are you talking about soldier, get a grip!
Leader: Sir, there is nothing here, wait. STAND DOWN DON'T MOVE!
The Warden waited patiently as he listened in.
Leader 2: We are on the way back. I repeat, we are on the way back.
The Warden sat back and waited patiently throughout the day. Down on the lowest floor, Yona approached Marina.
Yona: I have a huge favor to ask of you.
Marina: What is it Yona? I'll do what I can to help.
Yona: It's Blue, do you think you could maybe start teaching him things? I want him to be able to receive a decent education.
Marina giggled at Yona's request.
Marina: Spoken like a mother. I would be honored to teach him. Him not being much of a talker might make things a little difficult.
Yona: I know I'm sorry. Whatever you can do I appreciate it.
Marina: He'll be a little genius in no time!
Yona: Thank you.
Marina went off to find Raioten. She found him hanging out with Yasu in the exercise room. Yasu was running from wall to wall for exercise. Raioten was sitting down watching.
Marina: Hey boys! Are you having fun?
Yasu: Not at all! *huffing and puffing* We were racing..... and he..... finished..... like five minutes ago.
Marina: Good job Blue, keep him in shape for me!
Raioten nodded with a smile. Marina explained her promise to Yona and began to teach Raioten. Yasu also wanted to help out. Marina's knowledge was centered mostly around math and science, being a proficient engineer. Being so young, Raioten had to start with the most basic lessons.
The newlyweds were surprised at his ability to grasp the concepts quickly. They scheduled his classes for the free time in Raioten's schedule. Raioten was able to learn a lot under their guidance. One lesson was interrupted however, when Raioten was finally called to enter the Pit. . .
