The next morning, squadrons were set out to gather prisoners that were captured by the men in the field. Boatloads of prisoners were unloaded on the island one after the other over the course of the next few weeks. Hundreds of new captures were taken into the experimentaion room. Even with all of the new prisoners,not a single one was able to survive the testing to move on to the other side.

  As the workers went to open the hatch, one of them noticed movement within the pile of bodies. Barely visible, bright blue hair came into view. The man who spotted the movement ran down to check it out. When he got to the experimentaion room, he caught sight of Raioten. The young boy had survived the day prior, barely hanging on the hatch as it closed.

  His voice had failed him and he was forced to stay the night in the bloodstained pit. As the bodies rained down one by one, Raioten began to pile them up on one side. He tried to fight his hunger, but he couldn't hold himself back forever. Simply trying to survive, Raioten began taking bites out of some of the deceased.

  His teeth began to sharpen on their bones. He was mortified at his actions, but couldn't think of any other way. After a few weeks, Raioten was finally rescued. The worker took him across the hall and unlocked the door. He was officially the newest addition to Tower 13.

  As he walked through the door on the other side, he was overcome by a strange sensation. He could feel something beyond his sight. As he walked through, the large room behind him was sealed off. A worker met him in the other side. He put a special bracelet on Raioten's wrist. The bracelets were a way for the workers to monitor the vital signs of the prisoners inside the tower.

  ?: Come with me, you can take this elevator down.

  Raioten was afraid to step forward.

  ?: Trust me, it'll take you over half the day to walk down all those steps, c'mon.

  Raioten reluctantly joined the man inside the elevator. The elevator began its descent slowly, but picked up its pace. The building was so tall that the even elevator took a few minutes to get to their stop. Raioten's heart felt heavy trying to muster the courage to step off of the elevator. When he did, the elevator doors sealed shut.

  As he crept forward along the only path, he was overcome by a strange feeling. The feeling grew in intensity as he approached a large, dark room. The odd feeling was overshadowed by fear when he was met by a group of young men.

  ?: Sorry kid, but this is it.

  A young woman was pacing around back and forth outside of the entrance tunnel. She was desperately waiting for news of the new arrival. The entrance door made a loud noise that alerted her. A group of young men said that they would escort the new prisoner to her. Before she could see who it was, she was summoned to the Pit.

  The men who went inside to attack the young boy didn't come out. When the young woman returned, she went inside the tunnel to investigate. There she found a young boy, being beaten down by a group of men. She immediately sprung forward, displaying incredible strength as she attacked the young men.

  She fought with a graceful, kick heavy style, with strikes that sent the men flying. After defeating the aggressors, the woman approached the young boy. He began to growl as she got close to him. She stuck out her hand in peace.

  ?: Hey, don't worry little guy, I wont hurt you. I promise you can trust me sweetie. My name is Yona.

  Raioten:. . .

  Raioten saw nothing but honesty in the woman's eyes and defenseless stance. He reluctantly took her hand. He was immediately pulled off his feet and landed right in a hug.

  Yona: Oh my goodness you survived, I'm so happy!

  Raioten was initially terrified, being swung around by Yona. She was watching the experiments with a heavy heart. She had given up hope but then she heard the entrance door open and had hope.

  Yona was a woman who was taken from her home a few months prior and had lost her husband and newborn baby boy. She kept the wedding bands her husband had gotten them as a momento. Yona physically was a gorgeous woman with an athletic frame; long, brown hair and brown eyes.

  Yona: You are so adorable! What's your name little guy?

  Raioten just looked up to Yona, his wide eyes glowing in the dark hallway. He tried to speak but he made no noise. He looked at his hands on horror under the realization that he couldn't speak. As tears formed in his eyes, Yona took him by the hand.

  Yona: No worries! I'll call you Blue for now! Let's go so I can show you around!

  Yona took off, hand in hand with Raioten. She was eager to show him around the inside of the tower. Beyond the large sealed doors was the section of the building dedicated to the prisoners. There were three levels for them, each being for prisoners of varying levels of power.

  Yona stayed with Raioten on the bottom level to keep watch over him. His wide eyes and small frame would make him an easy target for those looking to harm him.

  As far as the facilities, Tower 13 had a state of the art gym, and rec room on each level to keep those inside at peak physical condition. They had a kitchen that prepared delicious meals, but the food was only for the soldiers and prisoners of the higher floors. The prisoners on the lower floors only got the scraps.

  Hearing a ton of commotion, Yona tells Raioten to stay put while she goes off to check on things. The prisoners had gathered around a man in a suit, who was eating a steak with wine. Raioten was overwhelmed with an odd feeling in his chest and decided to go see where it was coming from. When he heard the man's voice, he began to get enraged.

  ?: Hello everyone, something I can help with?

  Raioten remembered the man's voice. It was the same voice he heard before, when he was put on the experimentaion table. Hearing that same voice pushed Raioten over the edge, his eyes sharpened. With a loud, primitive roar, he rushed at the well dressed man.

  Yona: Little Blue, no!

  Raioten ran forward with the look of death in his eyes. The feeling his body gave off stopped Yona in her tracks, and even startled the man eating. He stood up to face Raioten seriously, and struck the boy down. He still felt fear radiating from the boy and began to pummel him. After beating Raioten bloody, the man picked him up by his throat. His hands were still trembling in fear, even as he held the boy's life in his hands.

  ?: What the hell are you?

  Raioten just growled at him. The man grabbed the knife he was eating with and stabbed Raioten in the stomach. Expected a pained scream, the man was caught off guard when Raioten immediately gave him a powerful headbutt. The strike have the man a small cut on his nose and forced him to drop Raioten. Seeing his blood, the men entered a rage and ran towards Raioten, who was still reeling on the ground. Yona stepped in front of 'Blue', shielding him.

  Yona: Wait! Please don't kill him Warden!

  Warden: These savages need to understand respect. He'll be perfect for me to set an example.

  Yona: Please no! He can be a great asset in the future im sure of it.

  The Warden walked past Yona and took a knee in front of Raioten. The intense pressure the boy gave off earlier had subsided and he had fear in his eyes.

  Warden: He gets one test, Yona. *to Raioten* I want to hear your scream for mercy!

  The Warden ripped the knife out of Raioten's stomach and jammed his thumb into the open wound. Raioten's eyes sharpened back up, causing the Warden to take a step back. Raioten seeing a wild kick that the Warden blocked. The sound of their bones clashing traveled through the entire room. The Warden kicked Raioten down and stood on his stab wound. He pressed his foot down but Raioten only growled, trying to move his foot.

  Warden: You keep this one in line Yona, teach him some discipline.

  Yona: I will! I promise I will.

  As the Warden turned to leave, Yona grabbed Raioten. The other prisoners cheered for him, but Yona scolded him.

  Yona: That is NOT okay little Blue, he could've killed you!

  Raioten turned away in defiance. Yona began to cry, and her tears were able to quell Raioten's rage.

  Yona: I don't know what I would do if I ever lost you Blue. Please try to follow the rules here. I want you to be able to get out of here someday.

  Yona hugged Raioten and took him to her cell. She used old paper towels to wrap his bandages.

  Yona: You can stay here with me Blue! Get some rest because tomorrow, we start training!

  Later that night, Yona went to her and invited Raioten.

  Yona: Come on little guy, time for bed!

  As Raioten crawled into bed, he was immediately grabbed by Yona and smothered by her hug. He had never felt so comfortable before, and before he knew it, she was waking him up in the morning.
