At three fifteen PM on Tuesday the sixth of August the small Arizona city of Maricopa was enveloped by a bizarre physical phenomenon dubbed the Anomaly. Twenty miles across when it first appeared, the Anomaly is a region in which natural laws are being warped in strange and unpredictable ways. Electricity will not flow and explosives will not detonate making all modern weapons and technology useless. Everything is mutating into bizarre and alien new forms. The effects are lethal. Everyone exposed to it dies over the following days and the affected area is growing. Unless a way is found to stop it the Anomaly will eventually spread across the whole world.
