Atlas looked over his stat sheet with pride. It had grown by leaps and bounds since he had started, and now he could truly be considered powerful. (At least in his standards.)
He glanced at the time left and was surprised to see that he only had a little over 6 hours on the timer. Hadn’t he just completed a wave? Why was the break period so short?
For the first time in what felt like forever, he brought up his temporary skills.
Temporary Skills-
- Ultimate Consume -In use
- None
- None
He blankly stared at the almost blank information. Only a single skill? Had he really upgraded all of his skills to that extent? If so, he was really doing good at leveling up his skills. The only problem was that it left him with very little temporary skills to utilize. Atlas suddenly had a thought. Was it actually worth it to him to get more temporary skills? He had recently gained a slew of new skills that he barely knew how to use, so wouldn’t it be better to just work on his current skills until the next wave? It would bring a lot more benefit to him in the short run, and maybe even the long run.
Deciding on his plan of action, he pulled up the descriptions for all of his new skills.
Ultimate Mirror Defence (Z): Everytime you would take melee damage, instead reflect 99% of damage back and take 1% damage. Your Defence rises by 5% on every activation of this skill, further reducing all damage taken. Defence buff resets at midnight.
Mana Turret (Z): Create and Charge up a turret made out of mana, it takes 10 seconds to charge up the turret but after it is charged, it can sustain itself off of the ambient mana in the air, allowing you to shoot endlessly.
You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.
Master Scan (Z): If used on something sentient, it brings up a basic stat sheet of the sentient being. If used on something non-sentient, it brings up a detailed description of the item, material, etc. (Can interact and use other effects of ocular abilities.)
Elemental Union: You can control all elements within a 1000 foot radius centered on you. You can combine and experiment with any different types of elements in different ways to create different effects and spells. This ability is innately powered and hard to explain. Play around with the different powers to fully understand what you can do. Costs mana. (differs depending on effect.)
True Mana Monarchy: You are a ruler of mana, and it responds to your call. You can control mana far more efficiently, and mana activally rushes around you, rapidly enhancing your regeneration, wanting to be closer to supreme royalty. This effect is dependent on your Intelligence and Wisdom. (Intelligence*1.5 = Efficiency of mana, Wisdom*1.5 = Mana Regeneration)
Regeneration (S): Your natural rate of absorbing mana, lifeforce, and stamina is strengthened, allowing you to use skills and abilities far more often. Increases regeneration by 150%
All of the skills were powerful, with Elemental Union and True Mana Monarchy having the least interesting changes, seeing as they were existing skills that had just been upgraded slightly.
All in all, they were very potent abilities that would add a lot to his overall power and recovering abilities. Master Scan was the most interesting for Atlas, partly because he hadn’t seen its description before, and partly because of its effects. It would take on other ocular effects? How exactly did that work? And did that include title effects such as Shadestrider’s night vision? The possibilities of the skill intrigued him.
He tested it out by staring at the city wall and activating his skill.
Scanning…
A vast amount of information suddenly flooded directly into Atlas’s mind, and he knew everything from the composition of the wall to how much it weighed to how much strength a person would need to roughly have without skills to damage the wall, about 4,000. The best part about the vast amount of information in his brain however, was that it was easily understandable and seemed to flow carelessly through Atlas’s brain, making his thoughts clear and precise as he parsed the information off the wall. As soon as he thought of something else, his thoughts immediately became slower, and he could easily tell the difference between when his thoughts were implanted, and those that were his.
Atlas was in shock. Would he learn this much every time he used this skill? If so, he would become a sage just by scanning everything he came across, this was an absolutely broken skill.
Atlas began to scan everything he could find, roaming the grove and finding all sorts of vegetation and minerals, mostly from the mine.
His mind was filled with a large amount of information, and every once in a while he would have to take a break so as to not go insane from all of the constant information.
After he had scanned most everything in the vicinity, he opened up his notifications and was surprised at what he saw.
Due to your high understanding of the makeup of various materials, Crafting has increased by 50 levels!

His Crafting skill, which had for so long been his lowest skill, had jumped a full two ranks with a couple tier ups in between, and all from just going around and using Master Scan. And this all happened without ever even using the skill!
Atlas checked the time until the next wave started. Just a half hour left until it started. Atlas took a deep breath and started to prepare for the final wave.
