The pain is unbearable, as my left arm still has the head of the thing with its mandibles still sunk into its flesh no feeling escapes it. I shiver as I use my good arm to rip the head of the beast off finally allowing my arm to relax, but the feeling has yet to return.
I try standing up, once, twice three times but in the dark and with my footing on this wet sand alongside my injured leg is too much for me to handle and I collapse back and unexpectedly hitting the water.
Water, the nice relaxing and cool feeling I let it simply consume me, I eventually find a nice position letting the bitten leg and arm slowly filter away what toxins that insect had into the water. The peace and serenity in the dim star night eventually lulled me asleep once again.. almost.
~"WHAT TRIED TO EAT ME!?! There are remnants of class TWO poison inside your body if you didn't have me here and were a mere human your bones wouldn't have survived getting bit by whatever it was. I'm so glad I spent the first day making you a high human rather than setting up statistics first."
Voice! Oh yes, you're finally back, the thing that tried to eat me is sitting over there on the sand, some insect. It's too dark to see it though.
~"Yea, sadly I would love to know what it was right now to say if you should run for your life but I would rather not force any change into you rather than whats basic."
What do you mean by force a change
[A/N: I made two tables so you can get a better grasp on him I will remove excess information from the second graph as it will be displayed like in the future. I might put a reference table for stuff like this in an Author Note later on in case people want to see it for clarification once more.]
A level? What's it mean and why is it already this high?
~"The level is something basic that grants you more power as it rises and you get stronger. In this world, you are granted a power by the world itself, a quirk of it. You gain this by killing the beasts such as those fish, rodent or insects, they die and the strength they were born with is dispersed. Part of it enters into you and part returns to the world, you could easily try and take it all but that whore of a planet always attacks for it back. I'm serious, had to actually confront mother nature at times. I've enslaved her plenty, though had to destroy her the first few as I simply didn't really understand things yet."
You mean that the planets alive?
~"No I mean that the planet and mana gave birth to a deity who created the rules and enforces them. Each planet is a little different in concepts but magic always remains the same due to their similar growth. On dead planets or ones without magic, such rules do not exist... then again nothing exists on them."

That's a bit much to wrap my head around...
~"Great, gotta work on that wisdom, you should know by now that you shouldn't listen to everything I say, mainly as you can't understand it."
So back to the question at hand... LEVEL.
~"Lamans term is as you live life you get stronk!"
Now that this is settled onto the main topic at hand... why am I here to get strong? I don't mind fooling around and making memories but things seem too advanced to do just that.
~"Oh its what every interuniversal galactic supreme existence wants to do! Rule Everything!"
I could feel the pure enthusiasm in his voice like that of a fanatic crying out his belief to his idle.
~"So what are you thinking? No seriously unless the thought was intentionally directed at me I can't see it."
Oh, nothing in particular just trying to relieve my brain of the pain I feel, would you mind helping me with the injuries?
~"Nothing I can do here, you don't have any magic abilities and... nevermind you ate something you should not have. Didn't our mother tell us Not to eat strange things growing in beasts? No? Oh well... time to allocate the right resources, speed up the little processes here and there../"
Slowly my body starts to feel numb yet my body tenses up and I can hear my breathing intensify and the flesh that still sends signals to my brain scream of water. The numbness intensifies and eventually, I lack any control over my body and somewhere in the distance, I hear a loud scream as if a man was having his guts ripped out of his body, and force-fed into his mouth while maggots crawl around his body and devour what's left... Needless to say, it was horrifying.
Eventually, as my body released the tension my mind continued to drift eventually into an unconscious like sleep but more of a desire for survival than a desire for rest. Waking up my body feels heavy and exhausted Lifting my arms I get off the small riverside and raise to my feet, extremely groggy. It takes a moment of moving out of the sun before it hits me, my injuries are gone.
How did this happen... voice?
~"I just simply did a little stretch that caused a load of pain inhibitors to be released by your brain, then went to work torturing this flesh by forcefully digging perfect mana channels in your body then I went and used those newly formed tunnels in your body to recover that bit of flesh that the little buggy ate yesterday... or was it two days ago?"
With him continuing to rant on about things I don't understand I started gathering everything I had and set up an actual base camp here for a few days to rest and recover from that encounter... with both the bug and voice's experiments.
First, a small clearing, setting up and lighting a fire, and roasting the bug from yesterday... tasteless, tough and something I don't consider wanting to eat again but better than nothing and with the hunger I have I could go for two or three more.
With a firm nope from Voice on learning what the magic was... and him locking out status for the time being i spent the time mainly recovering, although not quite as appetising at first the fish was still edible here and with the rest of the time finding and shaping a replacement for the bow that somehow got broken my time was preoccupied for the time being until I woke up one morning with this to stare at my face.
Voice whats water magic?
~"Say 'Simple dictionary Watermagic' Do not under any circumstances stay just dictionary... you wouldn't have time to read that 3285000 volume book compiling all experiences, understandings, and enlightenment from before"
*"Simple Dictionary water magic"
So how do I use this?
~"Its different every person... just try it out."
Lifting my hand towards the water I close my eyes and imagine a fish made of water jumping out at me and landing in front of me.
My thoughts must not have been precise enough... instead of landing in front I overshot it and it knocked me back with a substantial force. Laughter ensues from voice, but only a little anger surfaces before I just sigh and get up off the sand preparing to dry myself off in the sun I realize that I am completely dry. Suspicious I look around and found the fish lying next to where I was, a little malformed from the impact but in every detail, the fish resembles the living thing... only that it's crystalline and made of water.
I move forward to touch it but without warning, it simply loses form and falls back into the water...
~"You lost concentration when you moved, you subconsciously held control over the fish until you took back conscious control when you realized it still existed. I should make this dead clear from the start, you possess the natural talent and inborn reflexes of a god. You do not, however, possess the omnipotence, ability or power of one. If you have a sword and you were fighting a novice you wouldn't have any issues as your reflexes would cover you. If you fought someone who has formal training to a decent degree you would undoubtedly lose in pure skill."
So don't do anything stupid and overestimate myself, got it... but I think the fact that the bug nearly had my neck was enough of a warning.
