Chapter Eighty-Seven: Eating Fish

  After Ju An and Wang Fan returned to the ranch, they released Dou Cao and Xue Hua. They sorted out their belongings and put them in order. Hu Tou and Suan Tou were still lying in their usual spot at the door of the house. Wang Fan went back to his own room, while Ju An took Teddy and Wu Song into the bathroom. He put Teddy in the bathtub and gave him a bath with insecticide shampoo, followed by a wash with shower gel. Teddy was very well-behaved throughout the process and didn't struggle at all. Ju'an used a loofah to scrub Wukong a few times before handing him some body wash. Wukong opened the bottle and poured some onto his paws before starting to rub it all over his body. Teddy stood at the door, watching for a moment before crawling inside and hugging Ju'an's leg while making whimpering noises. Wukong poured some more body wash onto his paws and started rubbing it all over Teddy's body. Seeing this, Ju'an praised Wukong: "Wukong is starting to act like an older brother."

  After finishing the bath, turning off the faucet, Ju An and Wu Song first came out of the shower, waiting for Teddy to shake off the water again before bringing Teddy and Wu Song to the sink, turning on the hair dryer to blow dry their fur. Ju An always used hot air, Wu Song enjoyed this moment very much, every time he could be blown until he yawned, Teddy also seemed to like the hair dryer, several times even wanting to lick it with his tongue, but was stopped by Ju An. He sat in the middle of a pile of fruits and started eating happily, seemingly having forgotten about Lao Bie long ago.

  He relaxed the rope on Lao Gui's leg, thinking that it wouldn't be good to keep him tied up all the time. He thought he'd take him back home and let his parents raise him instead. Wanting to have some fun, he picked up a net and started scooping along the space pond. The first two nets were just small shrimp and fish, which he threw back into the pond. After pushing a few more nets, he caught two big green fish over 40 cm long, but still no carp. Just as he was about to throw the big green fish back into the pond, Teddy ran over. He thought that bears eat fish, so he threw one into the bushes. Teddy immediately pounced on it and started jumping around in circles, making "hmm" noises with his mouth, trying to press down on the fish with his front paws. The big green fish was only a little shorter than Teddy, but for Teddy, it was very powerful. After several attempts, he failed to catch it, so he continued to circle around, waiting for the big green fish to run out of energy.
