Giana failed to run and devour me. She was currently an ice cube in the living room. Her presence might cause me to become more toxic, but I don’t care. I can’t have her walled by a simple magic rune line.

  While Giana was slowly thawing, I was improving [Hattrick] and writing a research paper on it. The [Hattrick] the Misha would get would be different from the one I would use, I’m not a Misha after all. My hats will turn into swords, but that’s the hardest part. I would have to either mess with [Nilah], or [Hattrick] to change the shape, and I don’t want to mess with [Nilah].

  Nowhere in the runic structures of the hats does it code that the hat should be a hat unless I’m missing something.

  The most complicated skills I possess are [Nilah], [Elgard Overload] and [Hattrick] which all have more than 10 folds with Nilah even scoring 32 epics, making it more complicated than [Hattrick]. And both [Nilah] and [Hattrick] are somewhat related to each other, so they’re feeding off each other’s complexity, allowing me to use Nilah to become a Misha. I have 0 clue how this works, and it might need research but… I might need several years to figure that out.

  ‘Don’t fix what isn’t broken.’ So, I won’t mess with that interaction. It did become easier to act as a Misha after Nilah merged with my sword to become a double cored magical weapon. Is that the hey? I had to integrate complicated magical infrastructure into the other core. Is that the link?

  I can’t say for certain as I would need to fully understand [Nilah] and Misha hats. Most of [Hattrick] had been copied from Misha hats so it’s not as if I know [Hattrick] 100% but good enough, about 65%.

  Giana thawed and we started to work on [Hattrick]. She would study it and come up with ways to make it easier for the Misha ‘experts’ to crack it while I worked on the new [Hattrick] and the one for myself.

  How would they react when they finally cracked [Hattrick] and I come with an updated, more complicated version?

  Jokes aside, the Misha might have a point, I will be actually try and simplify it while expanding its capabilities which…. Is not easy. The [Hattrick] I will use can stay bulky and complicated; it makes it harder for others to steal it.

  I created [Hattrick] with the respect and thought that the Misha weren’t morons. I will have to rewrite it in a way that morons and babies might be able to understand it, which might be the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

  And we were doing this in Azu’s lab, why? Because I needed her setup, and it would help Giana a lot if she could also mess around with it.

  I like sugar apple, which is apparently also known under the name custard apple. Most places think that I mean apples with sugar… only the people from the Aquini Kingdom knew what I meant…

  “How about ice cream that mixes both?”

  Interesting combo, I will get to it.

  Giana kept studying in high anticipation of the ice cream and my tails continued on [Hattrick].

  “Hey Deca, we’ve been doing this for 2 weeks now, what about getting rid of those curses?”

  Curses?

  “Deca… make that an extra portion of ice cream for me. I can’t believe that you forgot about that…” Giana put the paper down and started to mess with Azu’s contraption.

  Well, I didn’t forget completely. You know that I do things with a reason, right?

  “Mostly yeah…”

  So, we can have a Misha lift those curses now, but what if we get another curse like this in the future? Wouldn’t it be better if you, our healer, had a high proficiency in mana runes and could deal with them yourself?

  Giana stopped and felt silent. “Give yourself an extra portion too. You’re right… this is something I should be able to do. I won’t rely on someone else to keep you guys alive!” Something ignited in Giana, and she stared to focus and work hard.

  I felt guilty, but I had to interrupt her as the ice cream was finished. We worked on [Hattrick] for 5 more days in Azu’s lab when we snuck back home.
