Clarity

Moira was over the moon by Raioten's dinner invite. They walked back to Moira's home for her safety and Raioten ran off back home. Jugo, of course, had absolutely no qualms about having Moira over and began planning out what to cook for dinner. Raioten ran back to Moira's to give her a time to arrive. When he got to the door, Moira's father answered the door.

Pops: So you're the little guy my daughter has been talking about.

Raioten: I guess so, my name is Raioten.

Moira's father reached out his hand

Pops: Thank you for protecting my little angel. You have my respect.

Raioten: It was no problem at all sir.

Pops: You and your uncle are more than welcome to eat here whenever you'd like, just say the word.

Raioten: I really appreciate it, thank you.

Moira's father took a knee in front of Raioten. He hugged him, and began to whisper in a cold tone.

Pops: I've fought in a few wars in my younger years. I've had allies taken to be POWs that suffered for years in end. I've never seen eyes as sorrowful as yours. Whatever it is you've been through young man, I am sorry.

Raioten fought back tears as he hugged Moira's father back. After talking his leave, Raioten jogged back towards home. He took a much longer route than normal to clear his head. He took many random turns, only stopping once he felt a strange sensation. Getting awfully curious, Raioten decided to go check it out. The feeling led him into a small clothing shop. He looked around for what could've possibly been then source and then it caught his eye. Long, flowing red hair painted his view.

  Raioten: Morgan!

Morgan turned to look at Raioten. He expected a smile but she gave him a cold stare.

  Morgan: What?

Raioten: What do you mean, 'what', where have you been?

  Morgan: What's it to you?

Raioten: We're friends, did I do something wrong? Why have you been avoiding me?

  Morgan: Go ask your girlfriend.

Raioten: I'm trying to right now? Are you not my girlfriend anymore?

Morgan slapped Raioten, knocking him to the ground. He looked up in confusion to her tear riddled eyes.

Morgan: Is that supposed to be giving funny? Did you really think I'd let you toy with us like that?

  Raioten: What?

Morgan: I'm not that kind of girl. You get one girlfriend DipAss.

Raioten: But you and Jugo told me to go make plenty of friends, how can I only have one now?

In a rage, Morgan grabbed Raioten by his shirt and lifted him clear off of the ground.

Morgan: FRIENDS, dumbass. I NEVER said to get multiple girlfriends pervert.

  Raioten: What's the difference?

Morgan very nearly punched Raioten, but wanted to hurt him with her words instead. She dropped him to the ground.

Morgan: Your girlfriend isn't just another friend. It's the one girl above all the rest and you can't have more than one. Your girlfriend should be the most important and the one you like the most. Spending your time with other girls is sickening.

Raioten stood up with a melancholic expression.

Raioten: I'm sorry. I should go now.

Raioten ran off before Morgan could respond. She angrily sorted through clothes st the store, still eager to find cute outfits for herself. After finding a couple that she fell in love with, she saw Raioten back at the entrance of the store.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.

Morgan: What could you possibly want?

Raioten: I'm sorry. I didn't understand enough about what a girlfriend really was. My first real memories are all in the Tower so I never really knew what you were talking about.

Morgan began to blush out of embarrassment. She hadn't considered that Raioten's entire childhood as inside that prison while she had a few years to go to school.

Morgan: You sure do know how to make a girl feel stupid.

Raioten: I'm sorry. What I mean is that I had to go talk to Moira so I ran to her house. After you told me what a girlfriend was, I realized that there is one girl that stands above everyone else, and that's you.

  Morgan: WHAAAT!?

Raioten: Well yeah, who else would it be?

Morgan grabbed Raioten by his shirt again.

Morgan: You don't know what you're saying!

Raioten: Wait! You're the one who told me what it meant? It's obvious that you're my girlfriend.

  Morgan: SHUT UP!

Morgan launched Raioten out of the store with a powerful throw.

Raioten: Owowow! I'm sorry i didn't realize it sooner!

Morgan: You're hopeless. You ask a girl to be your girlfriend, you can't just tell her.

Raioten: Huh? Oh yeah, I guess Moira did ask me back then. So, you wanna-

  Morgan: No.

  Raioten: But I thought-

Morgan: Not how it works with me. Even if I wanted to be your girlfriend*blushing*, which I don't, we would need to be real friends first.

Raioten: Ok, so let's hang out. You also should go pay for those clothes.

Morgan stormed back inside the story to buy the outfits she found. She returned to Raioten moments later to drag him inside.

Morgan: We're gonna find you some clothes to wear too.

Raioten: I got clothes from the school. These fit fine.

Morgan: You can't only wear your school clothes dummy!

Morgan showed Raioten all of the clothing options for young boys.

Raioten: I think those clothes over there look more comfortable.

Morgan: Oh the athletic wear. Yeah, that sounds about right.

  Raioten: Hmm?

Morgan: Oh nothing, just that you like to run so these clothes would work best. Let the clerk know what you find so you can try it on.

Raioten went off for a few minutes, searching for new clothes to wear. Morgan was seated in the store and nearly fell asleep. The store clerk came to find her when Raioten couldn't pick any clothes. He woke her up and explained that her friend was struggling.

  Morgan: Oh really? That dummy.

Morgan went to Raioten and handed him a pile of shirts and shorts.

Morgan: Go in the changing room and try those on!

Raioten walked out of the dressing room to see the Clerk and Morgan waiting on him. He smiled nervously as he modeled each one of the outfits.

  Raioten: Well?

Morgan: They look nice enough, but they don't 'fit' you, if that makes sense.

  Raioten: Not at all.

  Morgan: Be right back!

Morgan went off on her own to find another outfit. Raioten and the door clerk were startled when they heard Morgan celebrating. She came back with a single outfit.

  Morgan: Wear. Now.

  Raioten: Oh, ok.

Raioten went back into the changing room.

Clerk: You two are absolutely the cutest little couple I've ever seen!

Morgan's face lit up like a light bulb as steam flowed from her ears.

Morgan: He's not... We're..... forget it.

Raioten came out of the changing room, wearing the final outfit.

  Morgan: Oh wow!

  Clerk: We have a winner!

Morgan gave Raioten a black, athletic long sleeve shirt with holes for his thumbs to go through. His shorts were black as well with two thin, sky blue lines.

Clerk: Those really make the color of your eyes and hair pop! Do you like them?

Raioten: Yes. I don't like wearing really bright colors much, so this is great.

Morgan: Ha! I knew I could find a good look for you Short Stack!

Clerk: You know, its only fair that he picks out something for you to wear now.

  Morgan & Raioten: Huh?

Clerk: Yepyep! Come with me little guy!

Morgan sat nervously as Raioten searched the store for something for her. When he returned, he was holding folded clothes. All Morgan could see was that whatever he held was sky blue. She took the clothes into the changing room and blushed a little after changing. He picked out an oversized, sky blue hoodje for her to wear with a black beanie. She stepped out of the dressing room in embarrassment. The large hoodie covered the shorts she was wearing, and the beanie struggled to contain even a fraction of her hair.

Clerk: You two look absolutely adorable together. The bright colors of your hair and eyes create a really nice contrast with the black. Oh hello! Are you a friend of theirs?

Raioten and Morgan turned to see Moira. She stood for a moment without saying a word. Her eyes were holding back tears. Raioten wanted to speak, but Moira ran off. She ran down the street as fast as she could. Raioten wanted to give chase, but Morgan grabbed his wrist.

  Raioten: Let me GO!

  Morgan: I don't think you should g-

Raioten threw Morgan into a rack of clothes and ran off to find Moira. Back at her home, her father received a threatening phone call.

Pops: You can't be a serious! She's a child, she made a simple mistake!

?: She didn't, you did, and know you'll pay the price.

Moira's father ran out of the house in search of his daughter. He knew where she was headed and ran with all his might. Following a tracker he had in Moira's purse, he father was able to close in on her location. He turned a corner and sprinted down a cold, dark alley. Hearing Moira's crying only made him run faster. As he closed in, Moira's father looked to see the walls were lined with blood. He had to step over multiple unconscious bodies on his way to the end of the long alley. Confusingly enough, none of the bodies were bloodied and all of them appeared to still be alive.

Finally getting to the back of the alley, Moira's father saw her holding Raioten in her lap.

  Pops: What the hell happened?

Moira: He protected me from these men. They were trying to kill me.

  Pops: . . .
