Raioten found himself walking around a mall with Moira. She wanted to stop in each shop they saw just to look around and have fun. Raioten didn't understand much about what a 'date' was, but enjoyed having someone around.
Moira: Hey! Lets go see a movie!
Raioten: Oh, alright. What should we see?
Moira: Hmmmmm...
Moira surprised Raioten by picking a movie at random. She sat in the theater, stealing glances at Raioten's face all throughout the film. He was completely focused on the film, his eyes not leaving the screen for a moment. Moira giggled at how focused he was.
After the movie, the two planned to put an end to their date a little early in the evening.
Moira: Soooo, what did you think of the movie?
Raioten: The movie? Oh, I honestly can't imagine making a worse film would be possible.
Moira busted out laughing at his answer.
Moira: You were so focused, I thought you loved it!
Raioten: What? No, that's was horrible, I just didn't want the money Jugo gave me to go to waste.
Moira: Jugo?
Raioten: Yeah he's... he's like my uncle?
Moira: Oh, where are your parents?
Raioten: I don't really remember them at all. All I can picture in my head is their lifeless bodies in a large room.
Moira: Oh my god! That is horrible!
As she began to tear up, Raioten apologized repeatedly for upsetting her. Moira had her shoulder grabbed by a larger teenager, looking to flirt with her.
?: What's the matter doll face? I bet I could make that frown turn upside down.
Moira: Ew, gross. Get your hands off of me.
?: Stop hanging with little dudes like this. Let me show you a real man.
Moira: Raioten! Aren't you going to do something?
Raioten: What should I do? He can't hurt anyone.
? : Who's that, your little brother or something? Get lost shrimp.
Raioten: I can leave if you want, I just need to take her home first if that's alright.
?: I said, get LOST!
The teen lashed out and punched Raioten in the face, knocking him over. A small crowd began to form around them.
Moira: Oh no! Back off!! I'm not going with you. He's my boyfriend.
?: Oh is that right? Get up little dude,I fucking dare ya.
Raioten stood back up and dusted off his pants.
Raioten: Alright Moira, ready to go?
?: Don't ignore me!
The teenager ran at Raioten as the boy turned his back. As soon as he put his hands on Moira, Raioten turned his head slightly, giving her aggressor a look of death. The teen and the everyone around Raioten could feel the wave of intense pressure. Raioten walked forward as the older boy backed away.

Raioten: . . .
He simply stood in front of the teenager, completely silent. After seeing the fight erased from his eyes, Raioten turned and reunited with Moira. The crowd had all taken a few steps back and began murmuring about Raioten. Because of his hair and the strange feeling they all had from him, they called him a monster. Raioten paid them no mind and escorted Moira home. He noticed as they walked back towards her home that she didn't say a word. She also stood a bit farther away from him than usual.
Raioten: I'm sorry.
Moira: You protected me, nothing to apologize for.
Raioten: Don't lie to me. You're terrified of me aren't you? You think I'm a monster. I understand if we aren't friends anymore, at least let me get you home saf-
Moira: NO! You just... I was shocked, that's all. I still want to be your girlfriend, I promise. Do you still want to be my boyfriend?
Raioten: Absolutely.
Moira: Then it's settled. I'm sorry I made you worry but I'm really grateful that you helped me out.
They walked together a bit closer on the way to Moira's home. Raioten led her to her doorstep.
Raioten: Have a good night, Moira.
Moira: You too Raioten. I'd like to see you again tomorrow if you're okay with that.
Raioten: What did you have in mind?
Moira: Let's go out into the forest!
Raioten: Sounds like a plan. Goodnight.
Moira: Night!
Raioten, finally not being forced to walk at Moira's pace, took off in a sprint back home. He zoomed past his school's track coach, who was on his way home from the grocery store.
Coach: Son of a... I gotta get that kid.
Raioten got back home with Jugo in a few minutes. Jugo was waiting with dinner on the table, eager to hear all about Raioten's date. Raioten wasn't nearly as excited to give a report on what he did, and didn't understand why Jugo was so happy about it.
Jugo: I'm really proud that you were able to help her out without hurting that young man.
Raioten: I didn't want to hurt him since he didn't hurt anyone.
Jugo: Soooo, are you and your little girlfriend going out again?
Raioten: Yes sir, we're going out to the forest.
Jugo: Oh nice! (Why would a young girl want to leave town? It's unsafe). Well you make sure to keep her real close lover boy. The animals outside of town can get pretty scary.
Raioten: I'll keep that in mind, thank you.
Jugo: And definitely make sure to have fun!
The next morning, Raioten went out to meet up with Moira. They met just at the edge of town.
Raioten: Hey Moira, ready to go?
Moira: Yep, all set!
The two walked together outside of town and into the forest. Moira stayed extra close to Raioten as they traversed the wilderness.
Moira: Ok! This is plenty far!
Raioten: Oh sorry. I got lost in how pretty this all looks. Are you ok?
Moira: It's just that this is a really scary place to be, even early in the day.
Raioten: Really? If it's so scary, why did you want to come out here today?
Moira: Because, I felt really bad about yesterday. I didn't want to make you feel like you were a freak. I want to know you better.
Raioten: I appreciate that but how does the forest help with that?
Moira: Well, whatever you did yesterday affected all of those people. Out here, it's just us, so do it again!
Raioten: Do what?
Moira: That weird thing you did to make the guy leave me alone.
Raioten: Huh?
Moira: Wait, you really have no idea? That crazy feeling that we all felt, was just a coincidence?
Raioten: I guess so. I don't know what you mean.
Moira paced back and forth, trying to figure out what that feeling was. In the end, she decided not to worry about it and interrogated Raioten instead.
Moira: So, what are your favorite hobbies?
Raioten: Hmm... I like to run sometimes.. I also like taking things apart in the engineering class, but the teacher says I'm not very good at putting them back together right.
Moira: Oh, that's interesting, I didn't know you could take engineering in our grade.
Raioten: The principle made an exception for me because of my circumstances.
Moira: About that, do you mind telling me? If not it's totally fine.
Raioten: I just came from a bad place is all I'll say. Only a few of us survived.
Moira: A few? Is your uncle one of them?
Raioten: Yeah! Jugo was one of the main reasons we all made it out alive.
Moira: What about the others? Are they here?
Raioten: Well, Morgan goes to our school but-
Moira: Our school!!
Raioten: Uh.. yeah
Moira: I'm sorry, I had no idea. We should invite her to hang out with us!
Raioten: I would but I haven't seen her in a few days.
Moira: Oh, sorry for intruding, this is so cool! Does anyone else go to our school?
Raioten: No. Kagura would but he left in a hurry when we first got here.
Moira: Where did he go off to?
Raioten: He didn't say, but he was serious about it.
Moira: Jugo, Morgan and Kagura, that's an interesting group of people you know. I'd love to meet them all someday.
Raioten: Maybe one day you will. Do you want to meet Jugo tonight? You can come over for dinner.
