When Bastian finds himself washed up on some foreign shore, he must venture forth in search of civilization. What he discovers is a magical land which stands outside of Linear Time but resembles closely 13th Century England. When Bastian is welcomed into the royal family he learns of the many lands upon the face of inner earth and the location of the portals which connect to outer earth and the various timelines. Despite his marvelous discovery, he finds himself preoccupied with his new mysterious "girlfriend" a spirit who enchants the forest surrounding the kingdom.
