Cordelia
After arriving back at the pace, I immediately went straight for the Pace Library. I didn't get lost because I ordered Hannah and Janice to take me to the library first, hehe.
After that, they left me alone. Nobody was in the library,not even a librarian, which is weird but I paid it no mind.
I started to look for books regarding the Sylvaris family- aka my family. I needed to know stuff about me first before knowing stuff about others.
Three hours passed and a knight came looking for me. He told me that it was time for dinner. I was annoyed that my reading time was disturbed, but I was getting hungry.
I followed him to the dining room and sat at the avaible seat. Considering that my father, mother, sister, and brother are already here, they were simply waiting for me.
The atmosphere was silent as we ate. Suddenly the Duke spoke.
"So, how was your day, Thassia? Athenais?" He asked, looking at the both of us.
Ophelia simply mumbled an okay, while I said it was alright.
"I see. Are you girls finally getting along? Nothing that isn't supposed to happen, happened?"
"Nothing of that sort, father" I answered, finishing my meal.
He stared at Ophelia, waiting for her response.
I could tell they didn't trust me. I didn't like this atmosphere, so I decided to bail.
"If you may excuse me, I would like to return to the library." I bowed to the Duke before bolting out of there.
Ophelia
"She... She changed." I whisper as soon as Cordelia left.
"Can you eborate dear?" Mother asked, grabbing my hand gently as if to calm me.
"S-she didn't do anything today. A-also she said that s-she'll try to change..." I let out. I could tell they doubt me. But it was the truth, something changed with my sister.
"Hannah and Janice reported to me that she was acting strange today. Normally she'd be all controlling and demanding, but she was rather calm. As if she's been switched with someone else." Father said, sipping some wine.
Switched with someone else? Is that what happened?
"It would have been better if she was completely gone." Maximilian stated.
Mother stared at him sternly. "Watch your mouth young man. Athenais is still your older sister."
"Cordelia is a good for nothing bully who's only purpose in this world is to make life harder for Thassia! I don't understand why you guys don't punish her!" He murmured.
"Julius Maximilian Sylvaris head to your room." Father calmly said. Maximilian gulped and left the room.
"I swear. He's only 9 years old yet he says stuff like that. He's more simir to Athenais than he thinks." Maximilian? Simir to Cordelia? Well... I suppose at our age she was free of stating her opinions...
"Figure out what's wrong with her. You birthed her after all." Father whispered, sipping some wine. Mother simply sighed and rolled her eyes.
"She is also your child. She used to be your favorite, what happened?" Mother asked, jabbing at Father.
"I have no favorites." Father stated before leaving the room. "I'm off to the office."
"I swear..." Mother sighs. "Just... Thassia, stay clear of your sister for now, okay? Maybe she is trying to change... I just want you to be safe." I nodded as she gave me a hug.
I wonder what happened with Cordelia.
Cordelia
I was forced to go back to my bedchambers by some maids and knights. Apparently with the birthday banquet coming up in a week I shouldn't pull any all nighters because I need to look fresh and beautiful.
Hannah was in the middle of applying some stuff to my body, preparing me for sleep. It was boring. All I wanted was to read, I was so close to finishing that book about our family history.
"There, all done. Time to sleep Lady Cordelia." She said, tucking me in. How nice. But I am not a child to be tucked in.
"I have a question." I said as she was about to leave the room. "Why is there no librarian?"
"You fired and kicked the librarian out yourself my dy." Hannah answered before closing the door.
Wait what? Cordelia did that?
Just what type of atrocities did you do Cordelia.
