Your orders have arrived. Surprisingly, the smell of the savory sandwich immediately cured your appetite. You felt the hunger you'd forgotten since yesterday.
"Okay, hear this out," Kristine said with a mouth half-full of fries. "I think what's happening to the Old Helios is spreading to us. Actually, my grandma told me that."
Atlas rested the side of his face on his palm. "No shit. I didn't think of that," he said in a sarcastic tone.
Kristine rolled her eyes. "But compared to your tiny brain being able to process the most obvious thing, my grandma has real information backing up her claims."

You turned slightly to face Kristine. Behind her is the glass wall of the shop, and you could see that the people are starting to set up the festive decorations again.
"My grandma told me that the same thing happened to the Old Helios as per the story from her mother, my great grandma. She said it started first at the town, up the hill, and then slowly it scattered around like a storm cloud slowly drifting. The same thing happened as well. The oldest people dropped dead like flies.
"Hate to break this, but how exactly did she know? Was she there when it happened?" Atlas asked. He then took a loud sip of his coke.
Kristine looked at you. "There were people who managed to escape as well. They moved here and were very reluctant to interact with others. Well, my great-grandma was a very persuasive person, so that's why she got a bit of information."
