  A sliver of harsh sunlight across your face woke you up. You tried to bury your face in the blanket, but as soon as you did, the thoughts of Lone man rushed into you. Tossing the blanket off you, you looked around and found no signs of him.

  The familiar dread engulfed you like cold flames. You rushed to the window, pressing your cold forehead on the warm glass. The view was like it had always been picture-perfect, like a painting plastered on the glass. You quickly changed into your old clothes and slid the window open.
