  Lucille looked at him in the rearview mirror. You could tell how eager Atlas was for his proposal. "I have a question for you, Atlas."

  "Okay," Atlas said.

  "Why are you so eager to come with me every single time I go somewhere?" Lucille asked.

  The car became quiet. You couldn't explain why, but the hairs on your arms stood up. You could see the tip of the New Helios town's church, and instinctively, you released a sigh of relief. You can't wait to go home.

  "Because," Atlas said, "I want to know more about what's happening around here."
