While Luffy was shivering in the ju the entrance, an old man in his te sixties was walking with his hands into his pants.
He was a tall, tanned, broad-chested, musan with a goatee and a scar over his left eye.
"Let's go and see how the kid's going. It's been two days already."
Monkey D. Garp, or popurly known as Garp the Fist. He was the grandfather of Luffy and a Vice-admiral in the Navy. He was also the only person to have the title of 'Hero'.
He was also known for being able to er Gol D. Roger, the Pirate King, many times during his younger days.
Despite being just a Vice-Admiral, he held authority equal to that of an Admiral. And he was quite a respected and easy-going person.
He was seen as a great and famous figure around the world.
Yet, at this moment, the said man ig up his nose while walking leisurely in the jungle.
"I wonder how the kid's doing. He has to survive in such ditions if he wants to bee a strong marine."
He murmured while making his way toward the spot, where he left his grandson.
Garp was such a character. This was not the first time when he pulled such stunts. Even before this, he had left Luffy in a forest for three days, only to find him exhausted and hungry.
But the old guy had no idea that his grandson's soul was repced by a soul from another world.
"Ehh? Where is he? I clearly remember that I left that brat at this pce." Garp scratched his head, worried as he observed the pce. "Just where did he go?"
While Garp was busy looking around for his grandson, Luffy pulled up himself. He bought a better gun and sword to at least be on the safe side. And to one hundred pert, he even ed the - fruit that he received as a gift from the system.
He almost puked out his iines after he tasted that horrible fruit. It's no wo was pared to some of the worst things.

Just as he ed the fruit, not only did he receive some more stats aside from his inal ones, but his Observation Haki level increased, breaking the charts.
Luffy felt like he could perceive the entire isnd. He could observe any pce he wanted and could find all the living anisms inhabiting the isnd at the current moment.

Luffy calmed down and quickly adjusted the at points, increasing his strength. He then turned his attention to the strong aura and saw a silhouette made from the aura. The man had no harmful iion as Luffy could feel worry and pani that persoions.
The aura transformed into a bulky figure making Luffy furrow his brows as a picture of a certain man appeared in Luffy's mind.
To firm his doubt, he made his way towards the old man.
Oher side, Garp was getting worried, looking around for Luffy. Even though he was harsh on Luffy during his training but he still cared deeply for his grandson.
Just as it looked like he was being impatient and ready to turire forest upside down, he felt a presence approag him.
Turning in that dire, he saw a young boy walking out from the deeper part of the forest.
"Grandpa, you're back!"
Hearing the familiar voice, a smile appeared on Garp's face as he raised his fist, faking his anger.
"You brat, you dare t- Ehhh?!..."
But his wot stu his throat when he saw a young boy around the age of 9-10 running towards him.
Garp watched the kid with a gaping mouth as he hugged him.
He couldn't believe his eyes. Now that the young boy had hugged him, he could tell that he was really his grandson.
But for some reason, he was feeling a dark and sinister aura from his body which was quite different from Luffy's usual cheerful aura.
How could that Marine Hero know that his grandson had left the world and was repced by a very dangerous person?
Not only but Luffy's body exuded the aura of an experienced guy who had grown through the tributions of life.
'Hmm, what did this kid experieo give such vibes?...'
It was not clear whether he was feeling it because of his Observation Haki or he had seen enough in his life to see through a person...
After five mihe duo found themselves sitting in front of a boh loads of meat pced around to cook it.
"Huh? So you're saying you hunt this tiger? Haha, that's my grandson!" Garp looked at the giant tiger's bones and skin lying at the back.
