  1: I can't spell so chapters may have grammar issues (please make edit suggestions if you spot any)

  2: I am doing this for fun and so chapters will release whenever, but I will try to have one every week

  3: A lot of the characters will be some form of LGBTQ+ if you don't like that than scandal (and do some introspection of why your so hateful)

  Andrew was a boy with a good life, he had loving friends and family, a good financial situation, and nothing that would change that. Except for a humming, a constant mechanical, buzzing like humming in the back of his head that started when he was seven

  This simply hummed endlessly, whenever he tried to focus on it it would fade but come back once he was no longer focusing on it. So with no other option he simply accepted it as something that is part of him. A few years after the humming began, when he was eleven he went on a hiking trail with his friends, there he saw a spider, now this spider was large almost as big as his head. But he wasn't afraid of it, as he had loved insects and arachnids all his life. No, instead of running away like his friends did he felt a strange urge to approach it, so he got closer the spider seemed calm, he got even closer and the spider remained calm even though it should either be fleeing or trying to intimidate Andrew, it just stayed there calm, Andrew eventually got extremely close to it and it finally changed emotion, but instead of the expected reaction it seemed happy? Almost joyful and as it met it's eight unblinking eyes to Andrew's there was a clear sense of reverence and love in the spider's eyes, Andrew for his part felt a strange sense of motherliness towards the spider. The spider eventually reached a leg towards Andrew, seeming to ask for permission and Andrew made some kind of instinctive movement of his body that the spider took as go ahead. As it climbed into Andrew's arms the feeling of motherliness and Andrew multiplying tenfold. A noise that wasn't Andrew's thoughts nor the hum echoed in Andrews mind "mother" it said Andrew somehow instinctively knew that the voice was the spider and the spider calling him mother just felt right this specifically would kick off the process that led Andrew to find out that he or rather she was trans. She came out to her parents easily and changed her name to Annabut due to Medical complications it was determined that it would be impossible for her to transition. But that was not the most important thing that happened that day, as for the first time in her life the hum changed, or rather multiplied as on top of the pre-existing hum she had from seven years old there was a new one.

  Eventually Anna woke not being able to see anything but being able to feel a slight sloshing around her as if she was in water suddenly a blue box appeared in her vision

  There was another box to the side

  "Ok what is going on" she said to herself mentally soon after yet another box appeared in front of her vision

  "Ok deep breath one step at a time, first what is a swarm queen" Anna thought to her self

  "Ok so one, it seems like I'm some super ant queen monster thing. Two ,I be killed on site by anybody unless they're part of this Pantheon of decay, but three I get to have my own army of bugs!" Anna thought with excitement "but what is this Pantheon of decay thing" she asked

  "Alright I don't understand most of that but let's move on to what exactly the stats mean"

  "Ok mostly what I expected but what are the systems" Anna asked

  "I can't even understand that many zeros" Anna thought perplexed "but infinite potential is-its good" she said amazed "but what are you, you seem to be intelligent"

  "Interesting I will name you Li because you're like a library"

  sometime later...

  "So, Li" Anna said

  "What are my systems"

  "Alright give me the explanation of first one"

  "How can I kill monsters if I'm an egg"

  "Alright, Li pull up the incremental system"

  "Ok" Anna said mostly confused "open the incremental system, Li"

  suddenly, a cylinder appeared a diagram inside looking like an ant hive terrarium she used to have, the inside... like a wasteland just scattered plant and animal life

  anna didn't look at the upgrades knowing they will cost lots of ISC "I'll just wait" she concluded. "Li, dose the system system just le me buy more systems"

  satisfied with her understanding anna remembered the quest she got

  soon after she got to jiggling

  A ding was heard, but Anna didn't notice because she was focused on wiggling as time melted away

  Anna stopped just before she leveled up for the last time before she was going to hatch because she didn't know what leveling up did exactly, so she asked LI "hey LI, what dose leveling up do"

  "Ok then I'll go back t- wait what happens if I upgrade the eggshell then hatch"

  "In that case I'll just wait" she then wiggled the last few times, then Anna saw or rather felt something change

  the first thing she felt was 8 or 10 or possibly 12 appendages some with more control than others, her sight felt like she was focusing on every angel, suddenly she felt her emotion come back, it seemed her emotions were dulled to nonexistence in the egg. she fell down in the intensity of the flurry of feelings, and her mind trying to comprehend and change for her new instincts, limbs and compound eyes... after an agonizing 3 hours it finally settled down, a list of questions forming in her mind but first she determined she should find out how safe the environment was.
