I watched the TeleCon.

  A Time Machine.

  It’s only 2253. I don’t know why it took them so long to build it, but it’s finally here.

  I turned off the TC and leaned back in my chair. Finally, I could go back and stop what had happened so long ago. I could change my decision, and maybe even save those that were lost.

  I turned on the TC again. I opened up the keyboard and went to the website on the ad.

  They weren’t done with the machine yet.

  I stepped out of the machine and looked around.

  I looked back in the Time Machine.

  I needed to be back in 2231! Not this heck of a mess!

  I looked out at the city one more time and let out a grunt.

  I was about to step back into the machine when…

  It wasn’t there anymore.

  I’m stuck here.

  I can’t stay here.

  No.

  I can’t!
