Chapter 2: The giant spider

They had been walking for about a day.

“Let’s go back to mommy and daddy!” said the little boy.

“Shut up!” Yelled Lisa at her little brother.

“I’m scared,” said Lisa’s crying little sister.

“What’s that?” said the boy, pointing ahead.

That’s when Lisa spotted a man-monster covered in black holding a bow and arrow.

  “Run!” Lisa screamed.

The reason the three had survived so long in the forest was because of luck. And now Lisa was stuck in a giant web with her two younger siblings crying and trying to pull her out, while a giant spider was hanging from a branch studying the three.

“Run away! Just get away before it comes here! Run!“ Lisa screamed so loudly that spit come out of her mouth. She tried to move her arms as well to push her siblings away, but her entire body was stuck.

The giant spider waited a while longer. Then it decided to crawl a little closer to the web and gauge Lisa’s reaction.

Immediately it jumped back in fear.

A rotting smell filled the area.

“Pfft! Idiot. And now I have to rob the spider of its web. You better hope it doesn’t retaliate against me. I’ll have to come by later with a rabbit or something to show I mean peace. Look at how much trouble you’ve caused.”

I appeared from the bushes and approached the girl stuck in the giant web and the two children.

“Please don’t hurt us,” the girl said.

“You dare insult the man who is saving your life? Idiot.”

As I came closer, the giant spider made noises and twitchy movements while backing off.

I cut the giant web with one of my poison-covered knives. My poison prevented the web from sticking.

The two children were silent the entire time.

“The web will dissolve in a few days. I can’t take it off you without ripping out your skin as well. Now head on back home. This forest is a dangerous place. Idiots.”

“Thank you. My name is Lisa. We can’t go back, raiders burned down our village.”

  Sigh.
