Chapter 4: Lu Wi [2]
“My children! Today begins the selection of my successor! Get together!”
Lu Wi looked around him.
Many people were gathered in an enclosed area. Everyone was nervous.
He could see his mother nervous about what had happened. Lu Wi simply nodded.
Holding the weapon tightly in his hand, he moved rapidly through space.
His instinct warned him.
Standing still would be dangerous.
And as if to mock him, his father spoke.
“Fight to the death! Murder! Killing!”
“Kill the enemy in front of you! Otherwise, die!”
His father laughed like a maniac.
And a beast was suddenly revealed.
A group fight?
Lu Wi swallowed hard.
The beast in front of him was a hybrid between a leopard and a fox. A beast in the upper echelons of the ecosystem.
Lu Wi had some doubts about how the community coexisted in the wild with countless predators. Now he had the answer!
He sacrificed them!
Everyone backed away in fear, while Lu Wi gritted his teeth. How about dying?
Until his father is dead, he won’t die in peace!
Lu Wi screamed at the top of his voice and leapt towards the enemy. With a spear in his hand, he picked up a stick from the ground.
The children stared at him?
‘He is crazy?’
Perhaps.

But he had to live!
“Follow me! Let’s kill this beast!”
Nobody followed him. It was a foregone conclusion. If he wanted to win allies, he had to prove his strength.
He roared!
Swinging the spear as if in his sleep, he struck the armpit.
Blood! Blood!
He continued to aim for his other armpit, but the beast’s tail pushed him back against the wall. He coughed up blood.
Gritting his teeth, Lu Wi returned to the fight.
Move forward. Shoot. Backwards.
A pool of blood had formed around him.
Lu Wi was out of breath and could feel her head going limp.
However, perhaps because of the fighting, he could no longer hear anything. It was as if it had been silent from the start.
The wounded beast in front of him roared and leapt towards him.
He was dying.
He slowly fell backwards.
However, he felt hands behind him.
“...?”
Turning his head, he looked at the countless people.
Their eyes were mixed with unwavering determination.
‘We’ll take it from here.’
Lu Wi got to his feet, tired.
“Come on.”
Everyone was waiting for the beast to come. For the first time, everybody was united.
Lu Wi fiercely swung his spear, followed by the others. 300 children were fighting.
Finally, the beast collapsed in front of them.
Everyone was hurt and remained silent.
“Roaaaa!”
Lu Wi roared and so did everyone else!
A new champion is born!
Lu Wi!
“Kakaka!!!”
His father descending on the closeted area. He approached him and patted him on the back with a gaping smile.
Lu Wi had become the tribe’s new successor.
Three years have passed.
Lu Wi had grown from a child into a man.
During this time, he had sifted through all the parts deemed ineffective. Now setting up hunting parties at regular intervals.
He then took charge of the injured.
Making herbal remedies, he has saved countless lives. Yet, his father, now weak, was still holding him back.
Today, he was coming on his father’s tree.
“Father.”
Lu Wi entered the cabin.
Looking at his senile father’s back, he approached gently.
“Why did… I don’t want to die…”
Lu Wi remained silent. At first, he wanted to kill him in cold blood, but as he grew older, his vision changed.
“Child… have you come to visit me?”
Lu Wi nodded and approached.
“Do you want to…?!”
Lu Wi pierced his father’s heart.
His father’s troubled, helpless expression turned cold.
He looked down at his hands.
Had he made the right choice?
