Chapter 2: Preparation For Jol Part 1

At the soonest break of dawn, fickle beams of sunrays snuck through the closed blinds of Photon's quaint ocean-blue hut. The spherical hut's lone room was adorned with various trinkets and paraphernalia, all neatly lined up and organised for ease of view. Each item, starkly different from one another, shared a unifying theme: the humble banana, a long-since forsaken fruit. The emergence of dawn kept the dragonling kitsune visage from returning to her slumber, leaving her to stare blankly at the ceiling as she felt her baggy eyes weigh down into her skull. Her lackadaisical annoyance was only heightened as Kruesuno barged into her house.

(Louphoton is a rather short, humanoid kitsune visage[dragon serpent of family] with the appearance of a four-year-old girl and a familial resemblance to Kruesuno; she has slightly long unkempt purple hair with metalically silver hair tips with bangs long enough to cover her eyes, golden eyes with five-pointed star pupils, pale white to the point it's faintly cyan skin, two thin metal fifteen-centimetre pale purple horns on her forehead, a dark purple and purple scaled fifteen-foot-long snake-like tail with a pale purple kitsune fur end, and two on her back and eight[Apoca] dark purple dragonic wings along her tail with pale purple wing membrane)

"Photon! It's Lo-". Kruesuno managed to blurt out before snagging his foot between the gap between the stacks of Photon's trailing tail as the reflective appendage coiled around the hut's singular room multiple times. The cat boy's eyes widened in surprise, metaphorically catching his own tongue as he tumbled over the stacked tail and flopped on top of Photon.

"What... is it?" Photon grumbled exhaustedly, glaring at Kruesuno through the veil of condensed ocean blue mana[wavey energy] sandwiched between them and refusing the duo from making physical contact. Kruesuno slowly blinked before nervously averting his eyes from Photon's piercing gaze as she drilled it into him.

The tension radiating from within her mana was palpable, crackling and sparking through the condensed mana, which left Kruesuno momentarily stunned by the sheer volume of displeasure Photon was exuding passively.

"... erm...," Kruesuno stammered, put on the spot by Photon and finding himself tongue-tied.

"Erm?" Photon grumbled dispassionately, causing Kruesuno to flinch and stammer over his words.

"L-Loulea's and Loutia's B-day," Kruesuni shouted, inadvertently blurting out his response involuntarily from Photon glaring at him for so long. Photon remained unfazed, blankly staring into space as her brows furrowed. The expression that manifested on the dragonling's face could only be described as the physical embodiment of struggle, born from her agitated confusion at hearing the last word.

"B... day," Photon murmured, struggling to recall what the B could be appreciating. Although still a little on edge, Kruesuno exhaled timidly, relief covering his face as he realised the cause of Photon's sour expression wasn't the cause of his presence.

  "Birthday.".

"Ah! Yeah that's what it was. Ah-.".

Photon abruptly zipped across her bedroom in a smear of light, causing Kruesuno to hover in place before flopping onto the section of the dragonling's tail that stole her place on her bed.

"This is serious," Photon uttered quietly and sternly, standing stoically before her banana-shaped calendar and glazing at the obnoxiously circled date three days from the current one. "To believe I almost allowed such a thing to transpire, allowing us to almost miss such an occasion.".

"Quit it with the stoic senior sibling act would you?" Kruesuno remarked sharply. With his face flat against her tail and his voice muffled, Photon almost didn't hear the vampire's remark over her own stoic flair. She huffed indignantly as her cheeks and wings shifted to an embarrassed pink hue.

"Then you can deal with the party leading on your own," Photon stated languidly, crossing her arms in a pout as she spoke. Like clockwork, Kruesuno swiftly slapped his hands over his head and pressed his forehead even harder into Photon's tail.

"Apologiseies," Kruesuno said, his plea for her help swift and devoid of any insincerity. Her in-spirit younger sibling's quick switch up brought a giddy grin to Photon, ushing her tail wings to wag with glee as turned her gaze down to the bowing Kruesuno.

"I suppose it cannot be help, now can it?" Photon mentioned slyly, her tone carrying the undeniable sense of superiority befitting an older sibling who commonly takes the lead. Kruesuno barely had time to process Photon's sly remark as he found himself hoisted off the floor by Photon's tail and ushered towards the open door.

Without warning, Photon unceremoniously tossed Kruesuno out of her hut, sending the guy tumbling down the walkway like a bowling ball and crashing head-first into one of Zalroth's tails. The resounding sound of Photon slamming her door shut, rippled through the air like a booming gunshot. The echoing bang startled the other egos and visages from their slumbers, piquing their curiosity and goading them to venture from their dwellings to investigate.

"Do all of you Lous like tossing others around?" Choumiko inquired as he grabbed Kruesuno's waist and yanked him free from the ethereal tail. As the kaiser god placed Kruesuno back on his feet, the vampire cat stumbled and wobbled, feeling his head violently spin, overwhelmed by a sensation he couldn't begin to describe.

"You good, Krusu?" Zalroth asked cheekily, endeared as he watched the ego struggle to regain his bearings.

"And... I thought Loulea and Loutia's tail dimensions were hectic," Kruesuno grumbled, his words almost slurred as a haze of embodiment qi coated his head.

Moments later, Photon emerged from her dwelling, pushing the door open with a gentle creak. Having shed the grandeur of her banana-themed onesie, the dragonling was now suited up in her casual wear.

(Photon is wearing a black dress-like fur coat covered in a purple scale pattern, three multi-coloured[purple, pink, and yellow] banana-shaped beaded bracelets, and a sleeveless dark purple bodysuit that also covers her legs and feet)

In search of Kruesuno, she swept her focus across and scanned her surroundings. She paused, narrowing her golden eyes as she spotted the chaotic gathering near her home. The chaotic noise erupting from the small congregation of energetic kids snagged her attention, causing a flicker of annoyance to cross her face as she felt robbed.

The collection of the six other Lou egos/visages, twenty kaiser gods, and unrelated children earnestly greeted Zalroth and practically overwhelmed him with their combined intensity. The lot effectively turned him into a jungle gym, vying for a spot on his tails as Zalroth was left powerless to stop them.

"What a pushover," Photon huffed angerly, her annoyance mostly stemming from having her tail-loving fans stolen from her.

"You're one to talk," Kruesuno added under his breath as he hung upside down on the underside of the walkway, eluding the early morning's watch. A pang of jealousy momentarily surfaced from deep within the dragonling's mind, creating a simmering of frustration in her eyes as she watched her admirers flock to her metaphorical father instead of her.

"Wanna say that to my face?" Photon asked rhetorically. Her words were sharp and poignant, slashing straight into Kruesuno, making the guy flinch from under the bridge and gulp with contempt. Photon softly scoffed at the mere notion of being lumped into the same box as Zalroth. As if trying to deny it, Photon shook her head adamantly, to even acknowledge such fickle matters affected her was absurd in her mind.

"Soleo! Maaumine! Get over here!" Photon exclaimed, flinging her voice across the village with booming ease. Within the gaggle of children swarming Zalroth, the two mentioned children halted in their advance before the other kids followed suit. The duo and, to a lesser extent, the other kids exchanged glum expressions of solemn acceptance, knowing that if Photon was calling names, then theirs would soon be next.

With slumped shoulders, Soleo and Maaumine begrudgingly disentangled themselves from the other kids before heading over to Photon, dragging their feet behind them. While the two made the small trek to their caller, the other kids slowly began tumbling off of Zalroth from the sudden loss of Maauime's knowledge of structural integrity. Seeing his opening, gave the guy the chance to flee with a smirk on his face from knowing what was to transpire.

"What is it?! Can't you see we were busy?" Maaumine barked brazenly, evidently ticked off. Her temperamental demeanour did not make her mood any better, especially as Photon passed her an unamused side-eye. The kaiser god placed her her tendrils firmly on her hips and forcefully tapped her heel against the floor as she impatiently waited for a response.

(Maaumine is the Metamorphosis God Kaiser Beast with the appearance of a female human child; she had trailing pitch-black viscous/slimy ink hair tied into the shape of two large bowties with ribbons, a pale red right eye with a black sclera, a pale blue left eye with a black sclera, dark skin with dark grey dots over her forearm and lower half of legs, a body made of viscous/slimy ink, large fur-looking pitch-black viscous ink horns which curve upwards with plump/round bases, and large pitch-black viscous ink tendrils protruding from her back)

(Maaumine is wearing a banana-themed hairpin above the base of all her back tendrils)

"So... was I excluded from the birthday party planning because of last time?" Soleo asked lazily, "I feel like everything has been hidden a little too well for it not to be".

(Lousoleo is a short humanoid kitsune ego of assimilation with the appearance of a seven-year-old girl and an almost identical facial appearance to Photon; They have scruffy pure white hair with two long knee-low strips of hair all made of a vaguely slime-like material, golden eyes with five-pointed star pupils, extremely pale white skin, chonky thighs and legs, two large dark purple horns jetting out the top of her head with the same length of her head and the shape of a seven, and a super long chonky white dragon-like tail made of a vaguely slime-like material)

(Soleo is wearing a sleeveless and form-fitting silver one-piece swimsuit-like spandex bodysuit, silver fur thigh-high stockings, a glowing red chakra[slightly viscous energy] ring hovering behind their head)

Maaumine darted her head from Photon to Soleo, not ushering words as her annoyance waned. Soleo raised an eyebrow and stared at her kaiser counterpart, confused at her shift in mood. Maaumine carefully waved her head back to Photon, remaining silent as she slowly pieced things together. Photon's narrowed gaze only confirmed Maaumine's suspicions and told her all she needed to know, the weight of such info almost too much to compute. The kaiser god turned on her heel, not wishing to perceive Photon's Lola-like glare any further.

"I'll get onto the decorations and stuff," Maaumine uttered softly, any hint of her prior bark stripped away before she hurried off. Photon shook her head disapprovingly, unable to believe how people hundreds of years older than her could be so childish. But if Ela's bedtime stories were anything to go by, Photon could easily guess the kaiser god's mannerisms were most certainly moulded and the fault pg the person referred to as Architect.

"So...?" Soleo asked as they watched Maaumine running with her tendrils between her legs. Photon slapped her long tail against the walkway, violently jolting it and inadvertently sending Maaumine flying.

"Yes, Soleo; we're going to the cave bio-dome, that includes you, Krue," Photon replied, casting her eyes to the floor and just in time to see Kruesuno plummet into the trees below.

"...or maybe. I'll let him stay.". Photon rocked to her side, allowing herself to flop over the side of the walkway before kicking off its side and flying off. However, despite her speed, Photon's long tail took a few seconds to even realise their main body had flown off, allowing Soleo the chance to hop on it before the tail whisked them away.

Having the imminent arrival of Loulea and Loutia's approaching birthday divulged to them, the kitsune egos/visages and the kaiser gods collectively gasped in shared terror. The kids exchanged conflicted glances with each other, muttering among themselves as they discussed what to do.

"Everything should be rather simple to deal with if we call Big Sis Nola and Minia to help with the cooking," Kruesuno mentioned, getting a unified nod from the others.

"But where are we going to find new decorations on such short notice?" Maaumine mused, plopping her hand on her chin as she furiously scratched it for insight.

"Wait... doesn't Mr Zalroth's tails have tons of stuff in them, maybe he's got stuff for decorations?" Choumiko murmured. At the void-time being's remark, all the children swivelled around in unison and stared down Choumiko with crazed shock.

"He said something smart... it must be the end times," one of the other kaiser gods uttered, utterly bewildered at how such an event could occur. As the other kids began to scatter, Choumiko rolled his eyes with tamed frustration.

"You're lucky I take back-handed compliments, Muncher," Choumiko said, letting out a pout as the children fully dispersed and began their search.
