The Hyena Adventure Team found a secluded cave and lit a campfire, taking out some food. After eating, half of them rested while the other half kept watch.
"Captain, we're gonna take a leak!" shouted a heavy armor warrior and a swordsman.
"Just do it in your pants. This is the dungeon, for crying out loud," Hukudo glanced at them and casually replied.
The two teammates clearly got annoyed. This time in the dungeon had been boring, searching floor by floor, and they hadn't collected much in the way of materials or magic stones. They were pretty frustrated. Hearing the captain's words, they retorted.
"Captain, we gotta take a dump!"
"Me too, I've got the runs!" Hukudo frowned tightly, looking at the two troublemakers in front of him. The atmosphere became tense for a moment.
In the end, Hukudo compromised. After all, as the captain, it was important for him to manage the team's morale.
"Hurry up and get it done," he said. The heavy armor warrior and the swordsman walked off together, not very pleased. They walked a good distance before stopping and taking out a pack of tobacco and rolling papers. They carefully rolled the tobacco and then lit it, taking a long, hard drag.
"Ah, that's the stuff!"
"I tell you, the captain's got issues. This is just a formality."
"Just trying to suck up to that noble pig. He gets all the benefits while we do all the hard work," the heavy armor warrior blew a smoke ring and cursed. Since they were far away, he wasn't worried about Hukudo hearing them.
"Who knows, maybe that skeleton really did make it to the twenty-first level and collected the octagonal fire crystals."
"Hahaha!"
"Be careful, if that skeleton is that strong, he might come hunting us."
"Hahaha! You're killing me!"
"You got a good sense of humor there."
"Whoa, the skeleton's here!"
The swordsman swiftly drew his sword.
"Hahahahaha!!! You're killing me!"
"Can you do that again?"
"Damn it, he really is here. Stop laughing!"
The swordsman said, raising his sword and looking serious.
"Hahaha... burp! You should really go into theater..."
The back of his neck suddenly hurt. Blood gushed out, the cigarette fell from his lips, hit the ground, and sparked a little flame. He turned his head in disbelief, but there was no one behind him anymore.
"What were you and your buddy talking about?"
"Mind sharing that with the skeleton?"
Eric pulled out his bone sword and casually blocked the swordsman's thrust.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"How dare you..." The swordsman already had the urge to retreat.
"Why not?" Eric casually dodged the swordsman's attack.
"Sword Slash!" The swordsman quickly slashed out two sword energies, forming an X shape towards Eric. Eric raised his hand, and the rock shield he had already prepared covered his left arm, easily deflecting the sword energy. But the swordsman didn't hesitate at this moment, turned his head and ran towards the direction of his team.
"Really, running so urgently."
"Quagmire."
The staff was plunged into the ground, and ripples spread across the ground, reaching the feet of the swordsman. The panicked swordsman fell into the mud pit in an instant.
He couldn't run away! Realizing this, he raised his sword horizontally to the back.
The staff heavily struck his sword, and the blade bent into an exaggerated arc under the immense force.
Eric's other hand quickly swung the bone sword, drawing a white light and stabbing towards the swordsman's neck. The swordsman hastily dropped his sword and leaned back, and the bone sword that was supposed to slit his throat cut off his nose instead.
He was about to scream in agony when a hand tightly covered his mouth.
"Quiet," the skeleton's other hand extended an index finger, pointed at the shadow under the cloak, and made a "shh" gesture.
In the next moment, the hand covering his mouth sprayed flames, which surged into his body through his throat.
The pain made him struggle frantically, but he couldn't make a sound. In the end, he was burned into charcoal from the inside out.

Eric looked at his handiwork and let go with satisfaction.
"Six more to go."
Eric's body merged into the darkness.
"Why haven't they come back yet?"
Hukudo looked at the spot where the heavy armor warrior and the archer had left, feeling a sense of unease.
But just as he felt uneasy, the heavy armor warrior walked back alone.
"Why are you by yourself, where is he?"
The heavy armor warrior didn't respond and walked straight towards the other team members.
"Hey, I'm talking to you..." The heavy armor warrior unhesitatingly drew his sword and stabbed through the sleeping mage.

"Enemy attack!!!" Hukudo was stunned for a moment, then shouted and began to chant with his staff.
The heavy armor warrior lunged at another archer who was just waking up from a dream, grabbing his neck.
"Stop the magic, or I'll kill him!"
He shouted.
How despicable!
Hukudo cursed in his heart. If he continued to cast the spell now, he would lose the hard-earned prestige he had accumulated in the team.
"Captain, save me!"
The archer had also woken up now and shouted desperately.
"Brother, don't make things too difficult, or neither of us will have it easy."
Hukudo stopped his chanting and gave the other team members a meaningful look.
The surviving swordsman gripped his sword hilt, the heavy armor warrior blocked in front of Hukudo, and the priest stood to Hukudo's side.
"It's you who will have a hard time, I'm doing just fine."
Eric said, chopping off the archer's arm.
"Aaaah!!"
The scream of agony jolted every team member's nerves.
"Don't blame me, blame your captain. Who told him to make trouble?"
Eric's voice was like a demon's whisper, provoking everyone's nerves.
"Skeleton!!!"
Hukudo's eyes were bloodshot with rage.
"I haven't attacked you! Do you really have to go this far?!"
Hukudo's knuckles holding the staff turned white with force.
"The little skeleton is timid and can't stand threats."
"Being threatened..."
"If I don't deal with the threat, I'll be scared to sleep at night."
Eric's body hid behind the archer, slowly retreating, using the archer as a meat shield.
"Young Hukudo."
"Do you think your teammates are important to you?"
"..."
"So, let's play a game."
"Now I want you to cut off one of your fingers, or I'll chop off this cute teammate's only arm."
"Come on, beg your brilliant captain."
Eric patted the archer's face.
"Captain, please save me! I don't want to lose my arm!"
"How pitiful. If you lose your only arm, how will you live in the future?"
"Just thinking about it makes me want to cry."
"So, young Hukudo, you have ten seconds now..."
"Boom!"
A fireball shot from Hukudo's staff towards Eric. Eric quickly dodged, but the poor archer was engulfed by the fireball, let out a scream, and fell to the ground, lifeless.
"Demon, die!!"
"How much of a grudge do you have? Tsk tsk."
"Killing your own teammate, but can't even spare a finger of your own."
Eric took off the heavy armor, nimbly jumped and dodged, evading arrows and fireballs.
"This is your so-called good captain!"
"Why not turn a new leaf! Come join me!"
Eric shouted. But no one paid attention to him, and he didn't mind either. This way, he could gain more experience.
