Today was Saitama’s and Genos’ superhero certification exam, hers would be tomorrow.

  Eve: “I’ll be waiting for you guys in the park, I don’t think they’ll let me in” she explained to them

  Saitama: “okay, see you soon sis!” he waved at her

  Genos: “hope this doesn’t take too long”

  Eve: “good luck you two” she said with a big smile, then walked to a park. She then sat on a swing and slowly moved back and forth.

  Eve: “I wonder what type of exam I’ll have to take tomorrow…” she thought.

  Sonic: “whatever it is, you’ll pass it” he appeared and sat on the swing next to her. She blushed.

  Eve: “Hi Sonic. how are you?”

  Sonic: “Good, but bad too…”

  Eve: “Why?”

  Sonic: “If you’re admitted as a hero...I don’t want to have to fight you if it would ever come to that…” he said softly.

  Eve: “Well, you could always try out being a hero” she suggested

  Sonic: “Why?”

  Eve: “I guess everyone’s got different reasons. My brother’s doing it so people finally start recognizing him as a hero, Genos is doing it to follow under my brother’s guidance, and I’m doing it because Sai asked me to.”

  Sonic: “what about the other heroes?” he also began to swing gently.

  Eve: “I don’t know...but I’ve heard that some heroes aren’t as good as they seem...I mean, that they don’t take newbies in too well... especially if they begin to go up in the ranks..”

  Sonic: “are you worried for your brother?”

  Eve: “a bit, but I know he’s strong. So there’s nothing that would stop him, besides...he has me to protect him too” she smiled and looked up to the sky.

  Sonic: “just how strong are you two?”

  Eve: “hmm dunno, maybe the exam will be able to tell us. But… so far? The only one that I’ve been able to have a serious, long and tough battle/training with is Sai.”

  Sonic: “not even Genos?”

  Eve: “nope. not even close, and you’re not close either...you both should train together. Yeah, it would be good for you two.”

  Sonic: “Why would I train with him?”

  Eve: “hmm, I thought maybe you’d both like to have a go at each other..oh well.”

  Sonic: “Haha, maybe..” he said contemplating the idea.

  Eve: “ah, here they come! would you like to join us celebrate?” she smiled at sonic.

  Sonic: “I don’t think I would be welcome…”

  Eve: “If you’re worried about that, then let's ask them. come!” she said as she grabbed his hand and dragged him over to Saitama and Genos.

  Genos: “what’s he doing here?” he asked coldly.

  Eve: “how did it go?”

  Saitama: “I passed...I’m in class C and Genos’ is in class S…” he sounded disappointed.

  Eve: “well, you passed! you know what that means?”

  Saitama: “what?” still sounding gloomy.

  Eve: “Two things. 1: we celebrate! and 2: now that you passed, I’ll have to take my exam is tomorrow” this got Sai smiling.

  Saitama: “yeah! then let’s go celebrate!”

  Sonic: “um, I should leave…”

  Saitama: “hmm, you’re not going to join us?” he asked him.

  Sonic: “me?”

  Eve: “yes you” she smiled at him.

  Sonic: “only if I’m not bothering anyone…” he said with a slight blush. He was happy, but he was trying hard not to show it. All eyes fell on Genos. He let out a sigh.

  Genos: “I have no problem with it, as long as you don’t try anything funny”

  Sonic: “I won’t,” he said raising his hands in defense.

  Eve: “see?” she said with a bright smile. Saitama then got next to Sonic.

  Saitama: “well, what are we waiting for? Let’s go!” he then gave Sonic a pat on the back and then went to Eve and they started talking. Sonic and Genos walked behind them.

  They all went to eat at a restaurant.

  Saitama: “today we can’t fully celebrate like we want to, because my sister can’t have alcohol. Soooo!! Tomorrow we’ll celebrate like we should, okay?” he said after toasting.

  Saitama: “you’re welcome to come tomorrow with us Sonic,” he said to him

  Sonic: “are you sure?”

  Saitama: “well of course, the more the merrier! besides, you’re not that bad” he smiled to him.

  Sonic: “what do you mean?”

  Eve: “he means that he likes you, that it's fun having you around” sonic looked relieved after he heard that.

  Sonic: “It’s good to know that I have the approval of my future brother-in-law,” he said sipping his drink while looking at Genos. Eve blushed.

  Genos: “He likes me too you know, so don’t get ahead of yourself” he replied.

  Saitama: “Hey, relax. Besides, did you two really think it would be easy to get my approval?” he said in a serious tone.

  Eve: “Sai…”

  Saitama: “she’s my sister, and I want the best for her. So you two should start showing us that.” He left both Genos and Sonic dumbfounded.

  Saitama: “now, to make things more even for everyone...Eve, would it be okay if Sonic could also stay with us at your apartment?” this caught her off guard.

  Eve: “huh?”

  Saitama: “well, it's unfair for him, since he only gets to see you every now and then, not like Genos who sees you every day.”

  Eve: “sure, I have many rooms,” she said with a smile and then looked at sonic.

  Eve: “so, what do you say?”

  Sonic: “I....,” he was deep in thought, “I would have to get my things then” he flashed a smile at her.

  Eve: “great, I’ll write down my address for you here” she then handed him the paper.

  Sonic: “well then, I’ll head out first, in order to get my things and move in tonight”

  Saitama: “see you back there” he waved. Genos nodded at him and Eve smiled at him.

  They stayed at the restaurant for a few more minutes then headed back to Eve’s apartment.

  Five minutes had passed since they arrived and the bell rang. Eve went to the door and opened it. There stood Sonic with two bags and a backpack.

  Eve: “welcome home” she blushed while smiling at him.

  Sonic: “th-thank you” Genos then popped in.

  Genos: “let me help you with that,” he said as he took one Sonic’s bags, “I’ll take you to your room” and he then walked away. Sonic looked confused.

  Eve: “well don’t just stand there, go” she ushered him to follow Genos.

  Eve: “Good night everybody! I’m going to sleep!”

  Saitama: “Night!” Genos then opened the door to Sonic’s room, which was right next to his own and Saitama’s room.

  Genos: “The beds are really comfortable, and everyone has their own private bathrooms.” he said as he set the bag on a table.

  Sonic: “wow, this is huge…” he said in awe as he inspected the room.

  Genos: “yeah, it’s incredible how much money she can make when she wants to.”

  Sonic: “what do you mean?” he said setting his bags down as well.

  Genos: “Saitama told me she’s a prodigy. That she’s taken classes, courses, jobs and quits them once she’s learned all. She also creates things in her lab. But we can talk about that tomorrow. You must be tired. Good night Sonic” he said as he headed towards the door.

  Sonic: “Thank you Genos, good night.”

  *The next day*

  Saitama, Genos, and Sonic were at the gate with Eve.

  Eve: “I’ll come to get you guys once they give me my results.”

  Saitama: “Knock em’ out of the park sis”

  Genos: “good luck”

  Sonic: “you’ll do great”

  Eve: “thank you all. I hope I don’t disappoint you. I’ll give it my all!” she said and then went inside.

  -------Saitama’s P.O.V--------

  Eve was now out of sight. He then turned to face Genos and Sonic.

  Saitama: “Come with me, we need to talk,” he said with a serious tone. Genos and Sonic looked at each other, gulped and followed him. They went to the park.

  Saitama: “I know you two like my sister, and that she also has feelings for you two...I know I can’t always protect her, especially right now. She’s stronger than me, but I’m going to train hard in order to surpass her and be capable of protecting her. I also wish to have someone, and when I do, I want to be able to feel that I can protect that person from anything and everything. So my question to you is the following: Do you feel like you can protect her from anything and everything?” he looked at them with a serious look on his face.

  Sonic & Genos: “No…”

  Saitama: “Well, at least it’s good to know that you realize this. It’s not good to pretend. So I’ll give each of you a point for it. Now I have another question: What do you plan to do?”

  Genos: “I’m going to train even harder.” he looked back at him with the same seriousness in his eyes.

  Sonic: “me too”

  Saitama: “that’s good. And I’ll personally train you. Now I have a question for Sonic, but you don’t have to answer me right now. It’s more for you to think about” he said facing him.

  Sonic: “what is it?”

  Saitama: “If you were to stay on the side of evil, then people from both sides; these being from the heroes and villains, could come after Eve in order to get to you or the other way around as well...So my question is the following: will you stay on the side of evil or will you become a hero?” Genos’ eyes went big, while Sonic looked troubled.

  Sonic: “I-I…”

  Saitama: “you don’t have to answer me now. Just keep that in mind. If a villain sees you together, it could put both of you in great danger. And with the strength that you possess now, you won’t be able to protect her. Which is why the training of you two will begin tomorrow!” he stated quite happily. He gave a strong pat on the back at both of them then stood up.

  Saitama: “Let’s go, her exam should be over soon” and they all went to the gate.
