He immediately rushed out of the tower without looking back, his sword flashing at an extremely fast speed. If someone had been watching Chen Jing from outside, all they would have seen was the flash of the sword entering the Golden Tower, and then suddenly re-emerging after circling inside. Just as this happened, the tower door slowly closed, its speed not fast, but a formless restraint appeared within the tower. The air instantly changed from an intangible state to something like water, and with the flashing of the sword, the spiritual energy in space turned into something like mud. Although it was still formless, Chen Jing clearly felt it.
The change inside the tower was only a moment after Chen Jing discovered that a sea of fire had poured down from above, he was skilled in the Instant Sword Technique, but since entering Kunlun Mountain, the entire sky and earth seemed to have changed, and the Instant Sword Technique was suppressed, unable to achieve dozens of miles in an instant like outside. Even piercing through the void was extremely difficult, as if someone had entered Chen Jing's divine domain, where any magic would be greatly discounted.
A flame-like torrent poured down from the top of his head, Chen Jing's heart was in a great hurry, the sword light burst forth, shattering the entanglements that bound him, and he rushed wildly towards the outside of the Golden Tower. In an instant, danger arrived. That intense danger seemed to have pierced through his soul, but Chen Jing rushed out of the tower like a madman.
Flames cascaded down like a waterfall.
Chen Jing's eyes seemed to see flames burning his spiritual energy, and his back felt as if it was being poured down with molten lava. The sword aura around him had a feeling of immediate collapse under that temperature. Chen Jing first felt a sharp pain, followed by a dizzying sensation. In an instant, his vision had already become blurry. He understood that he had injured his own yin spirit. If he were to sink here, it would be no different from death. That statue was just an unconscious statue after all. At any time, it could be occupied by some lonely soul or wild ghost, inheriting everything of his.
But in his heart there was little fear, and in his eyes only that one thread of the tower gate remained.
Golden light shoots up into the sky.
In the eyes of some onlookers above the nine heavens, they only saw the dragon king wrapped around the golden pagoda being engulfed by the flames that had erupted on top of it. The dragon king's massive body, from its lower abdomen to the top of the golden pagoda, spewed out mouthfuls of dragon breath from top to bottom, but was completely unable to extinguish the flames on the golden pagoda. The Jing River spiritual energy summoned by the dragon king dispersed with a whooshing sound like mist in the midst of the flames.
People with a keen eye naturally noticed that Chen Jing had entered the Golden Tower, just as the door at the very bottom of the tower closed, and the flames on top of the tower burned from top to bottom. A long dragon's roar echoed, boundless wind and clouds gathered, and the spiritual sea in Mount Kunlun surged and foamed, overturning the rivers and seas.
In the midst of the dragon's roar, a loud crash was heard, and the golden pagoda shattered inch by inch.
The dragon king's body, which had been burned by the flames on the golden tower, no longer had a single scorch mark. Its deep body was radiant and colorful, and it had unknowingly grown a claw. The dozens of feet long dragon body twisted in mid-air, causing the spiritual energy within Kunlun to surge and churn.
The change between the electric light and flint was unexpected. Originally, many people thought that Jiaolong Wang did not succeed in transforming into a dragon, but unexpectedly he did.
"Haha……, I understand, I understand……" The Dragon King burst into laughter, but amidst his laughter, a gigantic golden tower appeared. When everyone saw the golden tower clearly, it had already enveloped the Dragon King inside, from transparent to semi-transparent, until he was completely invisible within the tower.
A sword light flashed and flew out, piercing through the spiritual mist in the mountains, flying straight into the sky. A faint sword hum echoed in the void. That flash of sword light seemed to others like a firefly in the night sky, flashing on and off, getting closer and closer with each flash.
"Mount Kunlun is not a place where one can come and go as they please."
In the Kunlun Mountains, that young man in yellow Taoist robes appeared again, still standing at the corner of the flying eaves of the Taoist temple, as if he had never left. As soon as he spoke, the spiritual energy in the Kunlun Mountains surged like a sea wave, and a giant hand rose to grab at the sword light that was shooting straight up into the sky.
Suddenly, a bright light fell from the clouds towards Mount Kunlun, accompanied by the clear sound of sword chanting. As the sword light descended, a voice echoed: "I've long heard that the Kunlun successor never leaves Kunlun, now I'm fortunate enough to see you, it's an honor to the utmost, I am Luo Fuli, willing to engage in a battle with fellow Taoist in front of all people under heaven, don't know if you dare." This voice came from the clouds and echoed far away. In the quiet sky and earth, it was as if a snowflake had been scattered.
This passage is neither long nor short, yet it's enough to make Chen Jing leave the Kunlun Mountains and return to the sky. In this distance of time as he returned to the sky, which was also the time when the cloud spoke to the dust, that flash of sword light seemed to stir up a stormy wind, the sword movement changed, the sword aura surged violently, and the sword incantation pulled out actually brought along the spiritual energy of the Kunlun Mountains.
With one sword stroke, it was as if the boundless wind and snow of Lushan Mountain arrived with the sword.
The young Taoist in the apricot-yellow robe did not disappear without a trace like before, but instead pointed out with one finger. In an instant, he became the center of Kunlun, and all the spiritual energy in Kunlun Mountain converged on his body, converging on that one finger.
The sword light flashed, stabbing straight down.
One finger points out, like jade.
In an instant, the sword tips intersected, and a circular glow burst out between them. The sword flashed and returned, and it was still in Chen Jingfei's hand when she flew to the Ninth Heaven. Her right hand grasped the hilt of the sword, her eyes still proud, looking at the Kunlun successor standing on the Taoist temple, who was also looking at her. On her jade-like fingers, there was a faint mark left by the sword.
He calmly said, "The Luofu Sword Immortal is indeed as famous as his name suggests."
Lidi didn't respond, had already untied the wine gourd from her waist, tilted her head and took a big gulp, turned around and stepped into thin air, as if walking on flat ground. Her Taoist robe fluttered, black hair flying, the aroma of wine spreading in the air, completely ignoring the strange looks in the eyes of those watching her.
Chen Jing still did not leave, he was staring at the golden tower that was still burning in the void. Not because the dragon's laughter had enveloped it inside, but because Ye Qingxue was inside the golden tower. His eyes were already a bit blurry, and his hand tightly grasped the jade slip that Ye Qingxue had transmitted out, if he wasn't mistaken, it should be the "Heart Sutra of Sacrificing Swords" stolen from Luo Fu. He watched as the Kunlun successor raised his hand, and the golden tower fell back into his hands.
Near and far, everyone was shocked. The divine power of the Jiaolong King was seen by all, but this Kunlun successor actually used an unpredictable magical skill to capture the Jiaolong King after the Golden Tower was shattered. Such a move, those present asked themselves, they couldn't do it.
They found it hard to believe, and Chen Jing also found it hard to believe. Even he could escape from Kunlun Mountain, there was no reason why the Dragon King would be trapped inside, if he wanted to leave, perhaps no one in the world could stop him. But he was unexpectedly captured in the Golden Tower, his life or death unknown.
Chen Jing immediately thought that perhaps the tower had a problem, or maybe all of Kunlun's energy was being used to suppress the Jiaolong Wang. Chen Jing no longer considered these things, because he had injured his spirit and needed to quickly return to the River God Temple in Xiuchun Bay to recover.
In the blink of an eye, it had transformed into a pale blue butterfly and fluttered away. For a moment, people from far and near all left, and Mount Kunlun returned to its tranquility once again.
Sometimes the things between heaven and earth are so mysterious. Chen Jing transformed into a human form in Kunlun Mountain, watching the Taoist in Kunlun Mountain from afar. Others were also looking at him from a distance. He simply tightened his hand on the jade slip, then turned around and transformed into a butterfly fluttering away. Many people could naturally see that the sword aura surrounding the butterfly had thinned out a bit, and the human form that had just appeared was also blurry.
The Jialing Dragon King wanted to transform into a dragon, relying on the power of the Jialing River to ascend to the Ninth Heaven. Only one river god in the entire river domain survived, and he himself was eventually trapped in Mount Kunlun. Some say that the Dragon King's resistance to the heavenly calamity was too exhausting, so he was captured by the Kunlun successor with the Linglong Pagoda in Mount Kunlun. Others say that the main energy of the Kunlun successor was focused on him, so he was eventually captured. Another theory is that the Dragon King did not actually lose, but rather intentionally allowed himself to be taken in. There are also those who claim that the butterfly was able to escape because Luo Fu's great disciple, Lichun, had made a move with his sword.
Anyway, Chen Jing survived, the Jiaolong Wang was taken by the Kunlun successor, and all the river gods in the entire Jinghe River died.
Chen Jing had returned to Xiuchun Bay, and he had once again attached the divine image to calm down. The world was also unknowingly affected by the dragon's roar, and it began to become chaotic. Although this chaos was only a mundane worldly chaos, the cultivation world was still quite peaceful, but the struggles in various places had increased.
Under the heavens, numerous large and small countries stood tall. Many Taoist disciples descended from the mountains to travel the world, accumulating good deeds and virtues, understanding the heart of heaven, and gaining insight into the great Way. As a result, there were also many cases of demons and monsters being subdued everywhere.
Some people challenge everywhere, some are crazy about eliminating demons, some eliminate demons and guard the Tao, and some say that no matter what they do, they only seek the Great Way of Longevity. Some people rob treasures and steal other sects' formulas, while others mingle with humans and travel around the world. Some even become great generals, princes or emperors to pacify the chaotic world, while others become refugees, bandits, or rebels in the human world. No matter what they do, their ultimate goal is indeed to transcend and attain the Tao.
For over a thousand years, everyone has been diligently practicing according to the methods left behind by their predecessors, listening to the legends passed down from previous sages in their ears, and yearning in their hearts for the day when they can turn the world upside down with a flick of their wrist. However, in the end, they all succumb to old age and death. No matter how high one thinks their realm is, no matter how formidable they once were, they all eventually die. At most, it's only been a few hundred years, but they're all dead. The people who come after them gradually go mad.
They do not know that the Dharma method is wrong, and the heavens and earth have changed. If it is said that the Dharma method is useless, then why can it still cultivate all sorts of inconceivable magical powers? If it is said to be useful, then why can't it achieve the Dao of immortality?
After more than a thousand years of silence, the world began to move again, seeking new ways to attain immortality and enlightenment. Although they were still in the midst of cultivation, they no longer limited themselves to closed-door meditation.
