TBE Chapter 45
The road was wide and it wasn’t as dusty as Ezekiel expected. The journey was pleasant enough and when evening arrived it was so sudden since everything was visible then it was too dark to see.
“Brother the light disappeared!” Robert said and Luke suddenly hugged him.
That showed Ezekiel’s inexperience. They were usually inside their house when full dark arrived so he didn’t notice how dark could suddenly arrive so unexpectedly.
Ezekiel retrieved the flashlight that he bought before from his system shopping site and he vowed that next time he would stop and search for a camping location before dark. He drove the cart just beside the road and cast a two-story Galder’s Tower. The first floor was the bedroom and the second floor would be the washroom.
When Robert and Luke saw the house appear, they both climbed down the cart and ran inside the house. Ezekiel was forced to cast another Galder’s Tower Wash Room designed to look like a stable to use as Prince Charming's stable since he didn’t have any drinking water for the animal in his 4th space tab and one of the odd quirks of the Galder’s Tower spell was he couldn’t get water from the inside of the house to outside although drinking the water produced by the house inside was all right and wouldn’t disappear from one’s stomach once a person went outside after drinking the water inside the tower.
He actually hadn’t tried it since the water they had been drinking was from the system shopping site but he guessed it was so since when they took a bath or a shower, the water in their hair didn’t disappear whenever they stepped outside. Ezekiel then fed and watered the donkey and when he saw that Prince Charming was comfortable, he left the donkey there.
Ezekiel then cast the spell Glyph of Warding paired with the spell Sleep and cast Alarm as well to make sure that they were protected. He could also feel Yuki Onna among the trees so everything should be fine.
He then wondered what would happen if a traveler stumbled upon his Galder’s Tower. Ezekiel guessed that he would just claim that they found the tower and would leave after resting. The tower of course would disappear after the duration ended so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. If no one appeared, he would just dispel the spell once they were ready to leave.
When he entered the Galder’s Tower, he didn’t see Robert and Luke and thought that they might have gone upstairs to the washroom. If they did, the soundproofing of the floors was impressive given that the boys were usually loud enough that Ezekiel should have heard them from upstairs.
The moment he entered the washroom on the second floor, Ezekiel knew that he was right. The boys were laughing so loudly that if the soundproofing were not there, he would have heard them. While the two boys were playing in the tub, he took their clothes and cleaned them using his Prestidigitation spell. When he checked the boys, it seemed like it would take a while for them to finish bathing so he joined them and was glad that all of them were so tiny that they all fit in the wash tub.
Ezekiel finished showering quickly and left his brothers in the tub who still wanted to continue playing in the water. He cleaned his clothes and wore them after toweling himself dry then told the boys that he would prepare dinner downstairs and to make sure to towel dry before wearing their clothes.
The bedroom desk was enough for the three of them to eat dinner since even though the desk was small, Ezekiel and his two brothers were small as well. Honestly, Ezekiel was feeling grumpy about how tiny he was. He was supposed to be 14 years old but he looked like he was only 11. He was hoping that the nutritious food that they had been partaking in would allow them to grow normally but it would probably take a while.
That was one of Ezekiel’s worries while traveling the road. Originally, Ezekiel was already 29 years old and he was a big man. If he found three kids as small as them on the road, he would have contacted the authorities and reported them as runaways.

After a while, Robert and Luke came down from the washroom and they ate the dinners that he packed in the microwavable plastic boxes. He praised himself a bit for thinking about packing all of their food in each of the plastic containers seeing how convenient it was to serve the food using those plastic boxes. After dinner, they all went to the bed to sleep.
Ezekiel cast the spell Mage Armor on all of them for insurance then the boys commanded the tiny servants to dance. While they watched the wooden blocks tiny servants dancing, they soon fell asleep including Ezekiel.
The next day arrived and he woke up earlier than usual. It was still dark outside and when he checked the time, it was only five in the morning. Ezekiel expected it since they all slept early the night before.
He left the bed as softly and silently as he could to not wake up his brothers then he went upstairs to the washroom to do his business. Then he went to the stable to feed and water Prince Charming. While the donkey was eating, Ezekiel cleaned the animal using his Prestidigitation spell. Once the donkey was done eating, he led Prince Charming outside and hitched him to the cart.
Ezekiel then saw that the things in the cart were a bit damp because of the morning dew so he spent some time cleaning them using his Prestidigitation spell. He made so many mistakes that it was laughable but he was learning.
He would need to purchase several things that Ezekiel thought they might need during their travel. First, he would need to purchase a tent they could use in instances where he needed to hide his magic. Then he would need to purchase a tarpaulin that he could use to cover their things in the cart. Then finally, he would need to purchase the spell Leomund’s Tiny Hut since that’s a good defensive spell in instances that they need to use the tent.
Ezekiel then decided to immediately purchase them so he spent 23 silver coins to purchase the spell, the tent, and the tarpaulin. The good thing about the tent was it was one of those that didn’t need to be set up and would immediately unfold itself and he chose the color brown so it looked like a regular cloth tent. It was also small enough to fit inside the spell Leomund’s Tiny Hut. His total coins left were 7 Gold 13 Silver and 90 plus Copper Coins. He decided that he would try the spell and the tent later that night instead of Galder’s Tower as practice for the times they needed to set it up.
Once the cart and Prince Charming were ready, Ezekiel dispelled the stable Galder’s Tower. He remembered that the next time he cast the Galder’s Tower stable, he would need to make sure that the door was big enough to fit their cart.
Robert and Luke exited the bedroom while shouting that they were hungry so he joined them in the bedroom to eat their breakfast. After that, Ezekiel took the time to clean the dishes and the boys using his Prestidigitation spell since he could smell an awful smell from them which meant that they went to the washroom already but didn’t clean up properly. Ezekiel then thought that he would probably not survive if Prestidigitation disappeared.
After breakfast, they all went outside and Ezekiel dispelled the Galder’s Tower and the Glyph of Warding then they continued on their journey. The morning was bright and the smell of the forest was nice. He remembered to cast the Mage Armor spell on the three of them for safety reasons.
A brief inquiry to Yuki Onna showed that there were no dangerous animals or otherwise nearby. The cart was moving slowly enough that one time, Robert and Luke stepped down and ran beside the cart and Ezekiel just let them.
After a few hours, the three brothers saw a village in the distance but Ezekiel decided to bypass the village. He was glad that the road was far enough away that the villagers would probably not notice their passing.
He was a bit surprised that neither Robert nor Luke asked why they didn’t stop in that village and that showed that they were indifferent to other people. It was a bit worrying and he blamed the Eagle Village for that.
Ezekiel hoped that when they arrived at their final destination, wherever that may be, they would be able to find friends since having friends would allow the boys to develop their emotional quotient properly since he truly didn’t want them to turn into emotionless psychopaths.
It was different for him since his mind was already 29 years old and he had access to the internet. He was also an introvert so he preferred to be alone. It would be different if he didn’t have the internet but since he did, it wouldn’t be a problem for him even if he were isolated.
The one thing that Ezekiel hadn’t tried yet was to communicate with anyone in his old world using the Internet since he was very much afraid to and he didn’t know why. But he would try it out soon and based on the result, being isolated from anyone would truly probably not be a problem for him especially if he found a way to access and download computer games.
