A woman of breathtaking beauty emerged, her long, thick hair a radiant gold that cascaded down her back like a river of sunset hues. Her eyes shone like sapphire jewels, sparkling with an otherworldly intensity that captivated all who beheld her. Her face was a masterpiece of perfection, a true marvel that rivaled the goddesses of old. Even Aphrodite herself might have envied this vision of loveliness, so divine was her countenance.
Alastor was mesmerized by her, but he maintained his creepy, wide smile. Meanwhile, little Charlie hid behind his legs, sniffling and peeking out at the newcomer with a mix of curiosity and fear.
The woman’s voice was like honey, sweet and enchanting, as she introduced herself, “I am Lilith, Queen of Hell and wife of Lucifer the Great.” Her words dripped with an otherworldly allure, captivating Alastor and rendering him spellbound, as if she could bend him to her will with a mere whisper.
Lilith’s light blue eyes flashed with intensity as she glared at Alastor, her gaze piercing through him like a cold blade. He felt her power wash over him, and his legs trembled beneath him, buckling as if an invisible force had struck him. He crumpled to the ground, his body involuntarily bowing towards her in submission.
“You’ve forgotten the proper respect due to your masters,” Lilith’s voice dripped with disdain, her words dripping with an otherworldly authority. “Demons have grown too bold.”
As she spoke, her gaze shifted to Charlie, who stood frozen in confusion, trying to make sense of Alastor’s sudden collapse. Alastor lay motionless, his chest still, as if his very breath had been stolen from him. His body remained paralyzed, unable to move an inch.

Lilith reached out to grasp Charlie, but the little girl recoiled, taking two cautious steps back. Her eyes wide with fear, Charlie gazed at Alastor’s motionless form, her tiny hands grasping his crimson coat as if willing him to stir. When he didn’t respond, tears began to stream down her face.
Lilith’s voice dripped with amusement. “Charlatan, my baby, why shed tears for this… creature? He’s just a demon, a monster, and hardly worthy of your affection.”
Charlie’s crimson eyes blazed with defiance as she glared at her mother, Lilith. The Queen of Hell was taken aback by her daughter’s unexpected boldness. “She’s never dared to challenge me before,” Lilith thought, a hint of surprise and curiosity sparking within her. Yet, she found Charlie’s courage endearing, a trait she hadn’t known her daughter possessed. With a snap of her fingers, Lilith restored Alastor’s breath, but his eyes, now blazing with fury, locked onto hers with unyielding contempt. The demon’s gaze, once filled with subservience, now burned with rebellion.
“How dare you,” Lilith’s voice dripped with venom, “you pathetic demon. You think you can defy me, your Queen, and live to tell the tale?”
Alastor’s unblinking eyes remained fixed on Lilith, fueling her anger. She considered beheading the rebellious demon, but Charlie’s sobs and clinging grasp stayed her hand.
Lilith’s gaze turned icy, as if she might kill Charlie too. Just then, a demon with a charming face and a mole under his left eye appeared. His blue eyes shimmered as he bowed to the Queen, his black hair fluttering.
“My Queen,” he said, his dimpled smile captivating, “why waste time on these lowly demons? Angels from Heaven approach, bearing an announcement. Our Great King Lucifer has sent me, your humble servant, to escort you.”
Lilith’s prideful tone commanded, “Rise, Vox.”
Charlie, darling, let us go and see your father.”
Charlie refused to follow her mother, but Vox’s cold gaze made her cower behind Alastor. Vox swooped in, grasping her firmly, and presented her to the Queen like a trophy. The Queen turned her back on them, dismissing the scene. Alastor’s glare still burned with resentment.
Vox placed a hand on Alastor’s eyes, his tone light but firm. “Hazbin, my pal, let her go. We have work to do.”
Alastor’s voice dripped with anger and sarcasm. “Vox, the voice of Hell. I’m thrilled to see where your loyalty will take you.”
Vox chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "You're as entertaining as ever, Alastor."
