Caelum’s entire body screamed in agony as he staggered, his vision blurring from the intensity of the battle. The Queen Wasp, though weakened and slowed by Aurelia’s venom and his relentless magic, still stood. Her massive form loomed over the chamber, her multifaceted eyes glowing with rage. Despite the cracks in her armor and the flickering of her venomous aura, she refused to fall.
The ground trembled beneath Caelum’s feet as the Queen’s wings buzzed weakly, sending shockwaves through the air. His own magic was faltering—his Fire Magic flickered, barely holding on, while his Earth Magic was slipping from his control. He had poured everything he had into immobilizing her, but it wasn’t enough. She was still fighting.
I have nothing left…
Caelum could feel his magic draining, the energy slipping through his fingers as his body screamed for rest. The venom from the Queen’s earlier strike burned through his side, spreading quickly and weakening him further. His hands trembled, his breath coming in ragged gasps as he tried to keep the fire alive, but the flames were growing smaller, flickering like dying embers.
We were so close…
Aurelia’s presence flickered in his mind, her telepathic voice faint but determined. Caelum, we can still finish this. We have to. I’ll support you… just don’t give up.
Her words steadied him. Aurelia, though barely standing, still had fight left in her. She had endured just as much, if not more, but she wasn’t backing down. They couldn’t let the Queen recover. This had to end now.
One more push.
Caelum gritted his teeth, forcing himself to rise despite the searing pain in his side. His body shook from exhaustion, his legs weak, but he focused on what was left of his magic. He could feel the earth beneath him, the flicker of fire still lingering in his hands. It wasn’t much, but it had to be enough.
With a sharp breath, Caelum slammed his hands into the ground again, calling upon the last of his Earth Magic. The chamber rumbled, the floor beneath the Queen cracking as jagged spikes of stone shot upward, wrapping around her legs and wings, pinning her to the spot. The ground trembled under the weight of the magic, but the Queen screeched, fighting against the restraints with terrifying strength.
Her wings buzzed furiously, venom dripping from her stinger as she struggled to free herself from the stone prison. Despite the venom coursing through her veins and the fire that had scorched her carapace, the Queen’s raw power was still a force to be reckoned with.
Caelum’s arms shook from the strain of maintaining the spell, his body screaming in protest. He knew he couldn’t hold her for long. The Queen’s immense strength was breaking through his magic, her wings thrashing violently as the stone around her began to crack.
Aurelia, sensing the urgency, surged forward. Her Sting, still glistening with venom, was their last hope. If they could poison the Queen again, maybe—just maybe—it would be enough to tip the scales.
Now, Aurelia, Caelum sent, his mental voice strained from the effort. Strike her core!

Aurelia pushed herself into the air. Her Guardian’s Aura flickered, barely visible, but it was still there—her last reserve of strength. She darted toward the Queen, aiming her Sting for the same vulnerable spot they had struck before.
The Queen screeched as Aurelia’s venomous sting pierced her side once more. The venom surged through the Queen’s body, spreading quickly through her weakened system. Her massive form convulsed, her wings faltering as the poison attacked her core. The cracks in her armor deepened, her control over the hive slipping even further.
But the Queen wasn’t finished.
With a roar of fury, the Queen unleashed one final surge of power. Her Venomous Aura exploded outward, filling the chamber with a toxic cloud so thick and suffocating that it burned through the air. The venomous fog enveloped everything—Caelum, Aurelia, and even the ground beneath them.
Before Caelum could react, the Queen lashed out with her massive stinger, striking him with deadly precision. The force of the blow sent him crashing into the ground, pain erupting through his body as venom flooded his veins. His vision darkened, his limbs heavy, as the world around him blurred into a haze of pain and poison.
I… can’t… His thoughts were fragmented, his mind barely able to hold on through the agony. The Queen’s venom was too strong, too overwhelming. His magic was slipping away, his body on the verge of collapse.
Aurelia’s panicked voice echoed in his mind. Caelum! Hold on!
But even as her words reached him, Caelum could feel the venom spreading, numbing his body and clouding his thoughts. His Fire Magic flickered weakly, the flames sputtering as his energy drained from him. The ground beneath him trembled, the stone spikes around the Queen crumbling as his Earth Magic failed.
The Queen’s wings buzzed furiously, her eyes burning with fury as she prepared for one final attack. She was battered, her body weakened by the venom and the fire, but her raw strength was still terrifying. Even in her vulnerable state, she was dangerous.
Aurelia, barely able to stand, was weak beside him. Her Guardian’s Aura flared one last time, a faint glow surrounding them as she tried to shield them from the venomous fog, but it wasn’t enough. She was too weak, her body trembling with exhaustion.
This… can’t be it, Caelum thought, his mind screaming in defiance. They had fought too hard to lose now. The Queen was on the verge of collapse—he could feel it. But so was he.
Summoning the last remnants of his strength, Caelum pushed himself to his feet. His legs shook beneath him, his vision blurred, but he couldn’t stop. Not now. The Queen was still standing, but her defenses were cracking. This was their last chance.
With a final surge of willpower, Caelum raised his hand, summoning what little magic he had left. His Fire Magic roared to life one last time, the flames crackling weakly but burning bright. He combined it with his Earth Magic, shaping the fire into molten stone, creating a wave of destruction that surged toward the Queen.
The fire and earth collided with the Queen’s weakened form, burning through her armor, tearing at her core. The Queen screeched, her wings thrashing violently as the flames consumed her, but she wasn’t done yet. Even in her weakened state, she fought back, her venomous aura flaring dangerously.
Aurelia, seeing the Queen’s last desperate attack, buzzed forward with the last of her strength. Her Sting, still coated in venom, gleamed as she aimed for the Queen’s core. She struck again, driving the poison deep into the Queen’s body.
The Queen convulsed, her massive form shaking as the venom took hold, spreading through her core. Her wings buzzed weakly, her movements slowing as her strength began to falter.
But even as her body trembled, the Queen wasn’t dead yet.
