Chapter 47 Movie Projection Time

Chapter Forty-Seven: During the Movie Screening

Originally, before the movie was shown, Wang Wei, as the director of this play, needed to go on stage to represent the crew and say a few words. However, Zou Wenhuai wanted to keep the mystery going until the end, so she put the speech segment after the movie screening.

The lights in the screening hall suddenly dimmed, and the midnight screening officially began.

When the music started, Jiahe's LOGO appeared. The audience in the venue took out the hot sugar cane, popcorn and crispy rice crackers they had just bought at the small stall outside and ate them with a crunch, making the entire projection hall very noisy.

As Wang Wei furrowed his brow, Zou Wenhuai, who was sitting next to him, leaned in close and whispered: "These are the famous 'Sugar Cane Gang' of Hong Kong. At midnight screenings, many people will buy sugar cane to eat while discussing the movie with their companions. If your film is not good, they will scold you on the spot. But if your film is good, their energy will be no less than any newspaper and they will definitely promote you with all their might."

As the theme song composed by Gu Jiahui and written by Wang Wei sounded, Big Brother Tangshan finally lifted his mysterious veil and officially showed his true face to the audience.

At this time, however, most film critics, filmmakers and journalists were more concerned about who the director of this film was.

When the big screen first appeared with the producer's name, Wang Wei's name appeared once with Zou Wenhuai and Li Xiaolong. When the script was written, Wang Wei's name appeared alone once, and when the music was produced, Wang Wei's name appeared again with Gu Jiahui. During editing, Wang Wei's name reappeared with Song Ming. The frequent appearance of Wang Wei's name has caught the attention of some attentive people, including Zhang Che, known as the Hong Kong film master.

Just as everyone was wondering if these Wang Wei were the same person, a few big words appeared in the center of the screen: Director, Wang Wei.

Who is Wang Wei? At this time, all the filmmakers on the scene had a big question mark in their minds. And the film critics and journalists who noticed that Wang Wei's name appeared frequently earlier were even more puzzled, wondering what connection these Wang Weis had with each other, or whether they might be the same person.

Only Zhang Che, sitting next to Wang Wei, took a deep look at the young man sitting beside him, then turned his eyes back to the big screen.

On the big screen, Zheng Chao'an, played by Bruce Lee, comes to a small town in Thailand at his mother's request and is picked up by Third Uncle at the dock.

As the movie went deeper, a voice of discontent echoed in the cinema from time to time. "This boss's heart is so dark," a girl said.

The boy sitting next to the girl echoed: "Yes, but this Zheng Chaoan is also a bit too much. He clearly knows kung fu, so why doesn't he ever make a move? It's always Mr. Xu who takes action."

  ·······

When the movie played to Xu Jian being killed by his boss, a dissatisfied voice came out intermittently in the cinema, "What's wrong with this director, can he really make movies? Xu Jian wasn't very powerful, how did he die like that?" However, the cursing voices lasted for a while and gradually stopped.

On the other side, Zou Wenhuai heard the shouting and scolding, fearing that Wang Wei would be disheartened, so she turned her head and comforted him in a low voice: "Ah Wei, don't take it to heart, movie theaters are like this, there are people who watch and people who scold. Those who can scold prove that they're still watching your movies."

At this time, Wang Wei was no longer as nervous as when the movie had just started. Upon hearing Zou Wenhuai's consolation, Wang Wei smiled at her with his signature smile and said: "The movie hasn't even reached the climax yet."

On the other side, Zhang Che was secretly pondering the conversation between the two. From what he had seen so far, Zhang Che felt that Tangshan's play had not shown any brilliant parts, and even seemed a bit rough and sloppy. This made Zhang Che slightly disappointed in his heart. As Zhang Che knew Zhou Wenhuai, Zhou Wenhuai was not someone who liked to take risks.

So after Zhang Che saw Wang Wei, apart from being surprised, he was more curious to see what kind of surprise this newcomer could bring him.

But so far, Zhang Che has only felt disappointment and not a little surprise. Just as Zhang Che was filled with despair, he suddenly heard the conversation between Wang Wei and Zou Wenhuai, which made Zhang Che regain his spirit and gaze at the big screen again.

When the movie played to Zheng Chaoan discovering his colleague's corpse and getting furious, the boss's eldest son and the thugs surrounded Zheng Chaoan in the center preparing to kill him. The entire cinema suddenly became very quiet. At this moment, everyone in the audience had only one thought in their mind: if Zheng Chaoan dies, I must ask the director's ancestors for eighteen generations.

At the moment when everyone was holding their breath, Zheng Chaoan suddenly let out a loud roar "Ah Da..." and quickly threw a punch at someone. The sound of "Ah Da" kept echoing, on the screen, Lee Small Dragon played Zheng Chaoan, his feet moving like lightning, either kicking with his small leg or kicking someone in the stomach. At the same time, Zheng Chaoan snatched a sharp knife from the hand of the person he was fighting and threw it fiercely, causing a stream of blood to burst out instantly from the person's body.

The bloody scene made the girls in the cinema scream. "This is too bloody," a girl said to her boyfriend sitting next to her.

The girl's boyfriend was also filled with infinite shock in his heart, but the boy's eyes stared motionlessly at the big screen. When he heard his girlfriend say that the scene was too bloody, a thread of frenzy suddenly appeared on the boy's face: "This is the real fighting scene. Those kung fu performances in previous martial arts dramas were just deceiving people."

The girl listened to her boyfriend's words and put her eyes back on the screen. As Ada's voice sounded, Zheng Chaoan suddenly jumped into the air, this scene was exactly what was painted on the poster. After jumping up, Zheng Chaoan turned around abruptly and instantly came a swift and sharp three-footed spinning kick. This move not only conquered all the male audience in the field, but also made the female audience scream with infatuation: "Wow, so handsome! Too stylish!"

When Bruce Lee knocked down ten thugs and the boss's son, the whole cinema suddenly erupted in cheers. Then when Bruce Lee went to the villa to avenge the boss, the cinema returned to calm again.

For the scene where Bruce Lee fights with his boss, Wang Wei used a long shot and referenced the fight scene between Zhen Zidan and Wu Jing in Kill Wolf.

Only to see Bruce Lee holding a stick, the boss holding a long knife, the two men probing each other for an attack, then quickly attacking with a series of fancy fighting moves. Next, during the fight, the boss's knife scratched Bruce Lee's body, Bruce Lee suddenly became furious, shouting "Ahda...", then suddenly jumped up and slammed the stick in his hand towards the boss's head.

The boss blocked once, and Li Xiaolong continued to turn and chop, a continuous three-turn combo, chopping the boss's head three times in a row. The boss couldn't withstand Li Xiaolong's continuous attacks, his hands started shaking, and he threw down his long knife. Then Li Xiaolong suddenly jumped forward with an "Ah" sound, pouncing on Boss Jiang. The boss pulled out a pair of scissors from his waist and stabbed at Li Xiaolong, who blocked it with his arm. The scissors got stuck in Li Xiaolong's arm, and he drew out a short knife. Then he rode on the boss's body and beat him fiercely...

The revised version of Big Brother from Tangshan, modified by Wang Wei, is much more brilliant than the original. Especially during the final fight scene between Bruce Lee and the boss, it's even more intense and aesthetically pleasing. The intense yet beautiful fighting scenes left the audience in the cinema still mesmerized by the thrilling fight scenes even after the movie ended. The entire cinema was silent.

Until the big screen of the movie appears with huge subtitles "Wang Wei's work".

The whole cinema finally came back to their senses, realizing the movie had ended. "Clap, clap, clap, clap" A burst of thunderous applause erupted in the cinema.

When the movie ended, Wang Wei's heart suddenly felt like a huge stone had been lifted off his shoulders. At this moment, he heard thunderous applause in the cinema. Wang Wei couldn't help but curve up the corners of his mouth, then turned around to smile and nod at Zhang Che, whose eyes were filled with shock. He stood up and walked towards the podium.

The preview was very successful, and now it's time to sweep the box office!
