Mahito woke bright eyed and bushy the next morning: consuming a hearty breakfast from the mess hall before adventuring to commune with one of his two professors.
Well, soon to be. Hopefully.
With how nuanced and widely applicable Mahito’s Aspect Abibility ended up becoming, getting a somewhat firm grasp on the peaks and limitations he currently holds with them is almost imperative to his survival in the Dream Realm.
That’s why Mahito singled out one of his two options of curriculum to the Aspect Analysis class headed by one Ms. Professor Elaina.
The class’s application outside of simple Aspect breakdowns would systemically increase Mahito’s prowess across many integral fields such as deductive reasoning, battle flow and strategy, as well as being able to pick up on the most subtle of details when speaking to another human.
It almost feels fated for him to find such a perfect fit.
There was one teency tiny little problem….
Professor Elaina was as seasoned as she was strict.

Despite the fact that she’s been a part of the academy for a multitude of years, she’s only ever historically accepted only 2 students into her roster.
Granted those students went on to become absolutely infamous in the eyes of the general populace.
Both being Masters that are soon to be on their way into the Saint class.
It’s an understatement to say that her expectations are high.
She leaves very little room for the most ideal qualities in young awakened alike.
Mahito was both entranced at the prospect of the class, but also a bit terrified at the possibility of being rejected.
Unfortunately, the time for conjecture has passed, because he finally arrived at the seasoned veteran’s door.
Well, without further ado.
[knock knock]
‘Hello, is anyone there?’
Then there was silence.
Another knock.
Continuous silence.
This little sequence went on for a while with no response to be seen.
Mahito was considering going on with this game a little while longer, but ultimately decided against that.
Being passive would ultimately be fruitless.
So, whether being compelled by the fear of missing out, or a more integral force in the world, he let himself into the space with hesitant grace.
Into the unknown.
