Chapter 6 One for all….
The weeks pass by, we play tag, climb trees and play together. I roughhouse with the boys and make small things with the girls from time to time. Today were on a hill beneath a small tree, resting in the shade. A thought comes to me, remembering how my parents were mercenaries.
“What do you guys want to do when you grow up?”
I ask.
Jean answers without thinking for a moment.
“I'm gonna be a swordsman and be a mercenary!”
Sarah takes a moment.
“I think ill be a magician, I want to try magic.”
Alice is next, her tail wags as she talks.
“I want to be a healing priest! I want to help people!”
Derek answers last, his voice quiet.
“I want to be a paladin.”
I rise and make a mock laugh, filling it with haughtiness.
“My dream is to be all of those! I'll be a magic wielding swordsman with healing and be able to protect everyone! Ill be a mercenary just like my parents were!”

Jean makes a scoffing noise.
“You can't be everything idiot, at best you'll be a magic swordsman, no one can have a class for everything.”
I ignore Jean and talk to everyone.
“Lets all make a mercenary group when we grow up! We'll beat up bad guys and help people along the way.”
Though Jean is still looking at me with a judging look from my earlier statement he nods.
“You might say weird things sometimes Xion, but that sounds like a good idea, who's gonna be the leader though?”
I butt in once he's does talking.
“You and me are both gonna lead, one for the boys, one for the girls.”
I say, already having thought this out.
Nods come from all around, Jean takes a second before he shrugs and nods too.
“So, fellow leader, what should we do since were still not grown up yet?”
My eyes get a gleam in them as I answer.
“We train! We'll get some basic skills so we can all be strong! I'll teach magic stuff and sword things, then we can play to try and get the basic acrobatics skill!”
Jean lets out a groan but nods.
“That makes sense, we should hit the ground running after all…”
After our meeting I get some more wooden swords from my dad and we met daily to play and train. After a week some of us get the basic acrobatics skill.
[New skill learnt! Basic acrobatics- tumbles, cartwheels and climbing, all of these are now familiar to you, keep on going Novice! Get a small boost to acrobatic movements and a small reduction of damage from falling wrong.]
While training the others I gained a new skill as well.
[New skill learnt! Basic mana manipulation-move mana to strengthen your body, cast spells quicker and protect yourself with mana. Effects increase with skill level up.]
I test the skill, feeling the strength coursing through my little limbs, I carefully jump and do a backflip, wowing the others in the group. Jean tries to copy me, and ends up falling flat on his back with the wind knocked out of him. After a few seconds he gets up, completely fine.
“Showoff…”
Jean mutters quietly, embarrassed by his lack of grace.
Alice giggles once she notices he's fine and we go back to our training.
