“No, I can’t be beaten by a mere human!” the demon war general growled, crawling backward on the ground as Nix slowly advanced toward him. Nix looked down with disgust and said coldly,
“Because of you demons, my family died. My village turned to ashes.”
Nix’s body burst into black smoke, trapping the demon general within it. The general looked around in panic, hearing Nix’s echoing voice from all directions:
“I’ll make sure you suffer a painful death—just like all your demon minions.”
Outside, explosions thundered across the battlefield as Jini and Hela fought off the endless waves of demons.
“They just keep coming! How many are there?” Hela shouted, glancing at Jini—knowing that, as the Demon Prince, he might know the answer.
While slashing through demons, Jini started to reply, “Every single demon is part of the army… the number goes over—”
Before he could finish, a red circle appeared beneath his feet. But before anything could happen, Hela shoved him aside—only to get caught in the circle herself. A blinding red beam engulfed her. When the light vanished… she was gone. Seeing it, Jini yelled toward the thick black smoke surrounding Nix.
“Human! Whatever you’re doing in there, do it fast! Your friend’s been teleported somewhere!”
Inside the smoke, demons were being butchered. Some were limbless, others were crawling, and some were forced to devour each other alive.
But Nix stopped when he heard Jini’s call. He swiftly finished off the remaining demons, then emerged from the shadows, his form returning to human. Floating above the battlefield, he scanned the area, confirming Hela was truly gone.
Landing on the ground, he drew his daggers, his voice low and furious.
“I’ll tear through the Abyss itself to find her.”
Then he dashed into the demon horde, slicing through them one by one as he descended deeper into the Abyss.
In the Demon Palace
“Ugh… Where am I?” Hela groaned as she opened her eyes.
“What is a human doing here? I placed that teleportation circle on Jini,” the Demon King said, frowning. Then he smirked. “Fine. I’ll just start by killing you.”
He swung his staff at her. The blow struck her in the side, sending her crashing into a wall.

Hela staggered to her feet, pain shooting through her ribs—several were broken. She looked up to see the Demon King slowly approaching.
She tried to stand again, but he struck her back, forcing her to collapse to the ground. Her spine burned with agony.
“Dirt should stay in the dirt,” the Demon King sneered, raising his staff for another strike—
—but then he froze. His weapon refused to move. Time itself seemed to stop.
The world went dark. Everything vanished until only he and Hela remained in an endless void. Then, a massive hand—large as the Demon King himself—reached out from the darkness and grabbed him.
“What?! What is happening?” the Demon King shouted, struggling against the giant hand’s grip.
Another enormous hand appeared, reaching toward Hela. A red aura surrounded her body.
“WHY IS IT HELPING A FILTHY HUMAN?!” the Demon King roared in disbelief.
The hand gently set Hela down and released him. Then the void faded away, and the world returned to normal.
The Demon King, confused and enraged, picked up his fallen staff. Hela rose to her feet—an immense power now surging through her.
The Demon King stared at her in shock, realizing what the hand had done.
“That hand healed… that dirt?" he spat. “Why would a celestial help you?”
Hela opened her eyes. Her pupils had turned into glowing red swords, energy radiating wildly from her body.
“A human has awakened a Weapon Eye?” the Demon King gasped. Before he could react, his right hand was sliced off.
He quickly regenerated it, his expression twisting into fury. He charged and swung his staff, but Hela blocked it effortlessly. Staring into his eyes, she said coldly,
“You talk too much for a king.”
The Demon King, enraged by her words, grabbed her and hurled her out of the palace before leaping after her.
Hela landed gracefully, but the Demon King landed behind her, ready to strike again. She blocked the attack and suddenly noticed a dark red circle forming behind her.
A crimson beam burst out—she dodged just in time. More circles appeared, firing beam after beam, but she kept moving, dodging each one with precision.
Seeing her distracted, the Demon King saw an opening. He struck her from behind with his staff, sending her flying. She landed hard but quickly dashed back toward him.
The Demon King cloned himself, surrounding her. The clones fired magic beams from every direction.
She dodged again and again—but then noticed one clone acting differently. She smirked, realizing it was the real Demon King—and in a flash, she sliced off his head.
But his head regenerated almost instantly. He laughed darkly.
“No matter what power you gain, you’re still just DIRT.”
Hela lunged, stabbing straight for his heart— —but her blade stopped. A shimmering shield glowed over his chest.
“I’m not stupid enough to leave my weak spot exposed,” he mocked.
Hela laughed softly.
“Why are you laughing, dirt?” the Demon King demanded, confused. *He* was winning—why was *she* laughing?
“You’re stupid enough to tell me where your weak spot is,” she said, vanishing from sight.
The Demon King spun around and blocked her strike—but a clone of his fired a red beam at the ground, forcing Hela to dash away. She circled him rapidly, moving too fast for his eyes to track.
Then—she struck from behind. Her blade pierced straight through his heart.
“YOU FILTHY DIRT!” he screamed as his body fell lifeless to the ground.
Hela’s eyes returned to normal. She swayed, nearly collapsing, but caught herself on her sword.
Then she saw someone approaching—not Nix, not Jini, but the Demon King’s daughter.
The Demon Princess, Xeyan.
“Bravo,” Xeyan said, clapping slowly. “You’ve killed my father. Now I’ll kill you—and take the throne for myself.”
