Arc II: Haruto vs. Meena

  "Sigh! What a weird old man," Haruto muttered. He looked around. No sign of a monster. Seeing the sun, he realized it was lunchtime. He found a spot under a tree to eat in the shade.

  Haruto took out a mat and his packed food, which included a fresh blue apple the old man had given him. "Let’s start lunch. If Meena saw me, she would have jumped on me to take this blue apple."

  Meanwhile, Meena was drooling while watching him from her domain. "Let’s grab the apple! I am sure it will taste good."

  "No, Master, please don't! Sir Haruto will find out you are stalking him. De interrupt"

  "Oh! Wait!" Meena turned with furious eyes. "What did you just say? I am doing what?"

  "Um, I mean... serving him so you can protect him."

  "Yes! That’s more like it," Meena nodded with crossed arms.

  "But Master, we won't be able to protect him if he finds out, so it's better to be cautious than sorry.De Said"

  "Yes! But I won't forgive Master! He is eating that alone without giving a single slice to Meena!" She began biting her fingernails.

  "Master, the search is complete," De announced. "I found a wild bunny. Would you allow me to use this bunny as a practice dummy for Sir Haruto? It will be a great experience for him."

  "Deploy him now," Meena said with a dark face and glowing eyes.

  "Hun? Sh-shouldn't we wait until he finishes his food?"

  "I said deploy it NOW!" Meena cried, biting a piece of cloth. "How dare he enjoy his food alone while letting me stay at home!"

  De whispered, "Sir Haruto, I wish you luck. You’ll need it... especially when you get home."

  The "Little" Bunny Appears

  Suddenly, the wild bunny appeared at a distance. Haruto was eating, food still in his mouth. Their eyes met.

  Haruto was stunned by the size of the beast. Food dripped from his mouth. The monster started moving toward him. Frightened, Haruto subconsciously ran and hid behind the giant tree.

  His breathing was heavy. 'What is that monster? I heard bunnies are little! What is that thing? Wait, don’t tell me...' His palms got sweaty and his legs shook. 'It’s an adult bunny monster. I heard those were deadly.'

  "What should I do? If I run, it will catch me." He mustered his courage and took a peek. The monster was moving toward him, but very slowly. 'That’s my chance!' He ran for his life and hid behind a giant rock .

  Meena’s "Controller"

  "Master, stop!" De pleaded.

  "No! Let me go! The food is mine, I will eat this!" Meena was using her powers to make a "controller" for the bunny.

  A while before...

  De: "But Master, you promised Sir Haruto you would not use your power."

  Meena (cleaning her ears with her pinky): "Don't worry, it's my domain. Everything will be fine."

  De: "I suggest playing by the rules."

  Meena became serious. "You know, after coming to this world, I have encountered possibilities I was unaware of. Even though the universe gave birth to them, they create something new. Like you... I knew living beings could use fire or earth magic, but you are a completely different creature."

  De looked at his hands. "Wait... does that mean when you said you were going to dissect me, you were serious?"

  "Yes. No other Dracula exist, so I will use you to learn."

  De started crying in the corner. "Huuuu... I am destined to die.  But Master he stood up , what is that outfit?"

  Meena was wearing a bunny outfit completely white with bunny ears .

  "Oh, this? I thought this would be more convenient for my character." She started playing with the ears of the costume.

  De: "I fail to see how this is convenient at all. And that’s not a 'character,' that’s a monster."

  The Battle Begins

  "Wait, this monster is slow. I can easily run," Haruto thought. "But! The old couple's home is nearby. It might kill people. I have to fight."

  He watched as the beast reached his lunch he is taking the food haruto left. "Hun? Is he here for food?"

  In the domain, Meena was struggling. "Master, stop! Sir Haruto will be suspicious!"

  "Oh, yes." Meena looked at the screen. "Food, I will deal with you later. First, let’s help Master grow."

  The monster stopped and slowly started walking toward Haruto again.

  "Oh no, it’s coming!" Haruto started running, then stopped. "No, I can't run. I have to defeat it no matter what!"

  He took a stone and threw it. It bounced off. Meena’s eyes shrank. She blinked, "Hun? How dare you disrespect my pet!" She began using the controller more aggressively.

  "Master, be careful!" De warned.

  The monster started walking faster.

  "Looks like it became more aggressive! But I am sure this boulder will do damage." Haruto threw a big rock. It bounced back. "It’s stronger than I thought. What do I do?"

  Suddenly, his sword vibrated. He felt the hum of the blade.

  "Wait... the sword! Yes! That’s right. I am a swordsman. If I can defeat those bats, I can kill this. And it’s even slower than the bats!"

  Haruto pulled his sword, ready to tackle the beast.
