"Why are you two always naked?" Macy said groggily as she woke up. "You're leaving nothing to poor Adam's imagination."
Adam smiled, slid down beside her, and put his head on her shoulder.
"Oh no, hero, that will not do!" Macy grabbed his head and kissed him. It lasted a while.
"Is she going to eat him?" Sarah asked.
The teens all laughed. Macy kissed Adam a few more times in little pecks and settled into his arms. Sarah still wasn't entirely sure what happened.
"Hey, are you my girlfriend now?" Adam whispered in her ear.
"Try and kiss someone else and judge by my reaction." She looked at him. "Oh my God, you're still confused!" She shook her head. "Of course I'm your girlfriend, dummy!"
Shannon looked up from the fire. "This thing burns remarkably well for a fire that's been going for like an hour."
"It's magic," Sarah said. "I'll get it when I'm feeling better."
A low, deep growl rolled through the woods-so loud they felt it in their bones. Kim got to her feet as a massive beast stalked out of the trees.
Macy started looking for her gun. The others scattered back. Sarah called out, "Dad!"
The thing that walked out of the forest was tall, broad, and rippling with muscle. His wolf's head and brown fur all but shined in the moonlight. "These are my friends," Sarah said, pointing to the terrified teens. "Sorry I didn't put out the fire. But me and Kim are hurt real bad."

Daniel's body fell forward, turning into a massive wolf. Awe more than fear swept through the kids as he walked up to the flames. He stomped out the fire with one massive paw.
He padded over to Sarah-already healing faster under the undisturbed moonlight.
"These are my friends," Sarah continued. "That's Kim-she's the girl I turned. I'm sorry about that, but it seems like it's working out. That's Adam-he was Macy's simp. I think that's what they call a mate." It was hard to look at Daniel as intimidating as he sat and listened to Sarah prattle on. "That's Shannon-she's a lesbian. No one will tell me what that is."
"Shannon the lesbian!" Macy laughed out loud. "She said to the werewolf king!" Macy hugged Shannon fiercely. "I'm sorry. But you have to admit that's funny!"
Shannon accepted the comforting hug as an apology. "It's getting a little old."
"Oh it's a lot old. We will talk to her I promise." Macy comforted.
"And that's Macy. She likes guns and is good at making people laugh, and hugs!"
"You're scaring them, my love." The naked red-haired woman walked out of the forest.
"More family of yours, Snowball?" Macy asked.
"We're werewolves, dear," Mary said. "It's hard to find clothes for all occasions." She looked at Kim. "Seems you've had an eventful night." She picked up Sarah and placed her on her father's back.
She walked over to Kim. "Stay in the moonlight as much as you can. You should be fine by morning. We'll get you all to your car. I'll meet you at your place later tonight."
Everyone was asleep when Kim finally made it out to her roof. Her wounds were almost better, nothing helped better than the moonlight. She could sense Mary's approach.
"I am forever in your debt, young lady," Mary said, coming to sit beside her.
"Is it over?"
"For you, it is." Mary smiled. "The adults have some mopping up to do. Nothing to worry about for you. Would you be able to watch Sarah for a few more days?"
"Of course," Kim said. "I'm stronger than her now. It worries me less."
"I told her what a lesbian is, by the way," Mary added. Kim laughed. "And to not ask Shannon about it anymore."
"She'll appreciate that." Kim smiled.
They sat and talked until the sun came up.
