Chapter 33- Purple Haze

Note to the reader: *.......* means he's saying that in his head.

Sorry I didn't post anything until now. I spent my free time reading the Overlord novel.

  Chapter 33

The men moved towards me and I stepped back.

  Willow:"No...Stay away."

I could finally see their faces. The three men were Keltor, Falon and the male Willow.

  Female Willow:"What's going on!"

  Keltor:"We've come for you."

  M. Willow:"What you seek will only bring ruin."

Falon:"Death is all that awaits you."

They stepped closer and I receded backwards. The room was quite humid so sweet started to drip from brow.

Keltor:"You shall suffer in a hell of your own making."

  M. Willow:"Your life will end, but you will never die."

Falon:"Pain will be your only sense."

  F. Willow:"This is a test isn't it! I came for the tablet and nothing you say will persuade me from getting it."

I turned and ran out of the room. I planned to lead them to a narrow corridor I passed through to get here. Hand to hand combat would be their only way to fight in such a small space, and it would only allow one person to fight me at a time. I wasn't sure if they new all the magics that I did since they looked like my other forms, but I wanted to reduce their options as much as I could.

I made it to the corridor and turned around to face the men, but no one had followed me.

  F. Willow:"Why didn't they follow?"

I decided to head back up and properly arm myself before coming back. When I exited I noticed all colors seemed to be gone from the world. I hadn't noticed it before since it was so dark.

  F. Willow:"What the hell is happening!?"

There were no smells in the air and no sounds. I could feel an eerie empty feeling from this gray world. I felt like I was the only person here, but that feeling faded fast.

Keltor:"Your life is no longer yours."

He had come from behind me which startled me and made me jump away. I wasn't able to keep my balance and fell to the ground. Falon and male Willow followed after him.

  M. Willow:"This world is your new home."

Falon:"Only the truly strong can leave here."

I stood up and readied myself for a fight, but they didn't move. I charged at Keltor, but he easily side stepped my punch. Falon jumped towards me and delivered a kick to my stomachs which sent me flying back. When I was regaining my balance male Willow hit me across the face with his fist. I was knocked to the ground and the iron taste of blood filled my mouth.

I jumped up and backed away as fast as possible, but they didn't continue the attack. They just stood there looking at me. I attacked many times, but never landed a hit and ended up badly beaten after a while.

  F. Willow:"What the hell! Why can't I hit you!"

I yelled in frustration, but had to stop because of the pain in my jaw. I had bruises all over, but I counted myself luck that they didn't use magic.

*What the hell am I suppose to do!*

I wasn't sure how to beat them since everything I tried so far failed. It had been a while since they last talked so I started to get a real creepy vibe from them. I tried throwing rocks, but they were all dodged.

  F. Willow:"Just give me the tablet piece already!"

  Keltor:"Death."

  M. Willow:"Despair."

  Falon:"Pain."

Them suddenly talking frightened me for a second and I grew a little angry that it did.

  F. Willow:"Shut up!"

I rushed towards them again and was smacked around like all my other tries. I started to feel like I did back in my life as female Willow. The memories of all the men that beat and raped me came back causing me to shrink away. I felt complete and utter fear of the men around me. I knew the situation was different, but I felt like I was back in that room. I could even hear the laughter of my brother who sent me there.

I tried covering my ears, but the sound reverberated within my head. I screamed out for help and started to cry. I was Willow, a weak human that could do nothing against fate. The men closed in on me as I curled up into a ball sobbing. Keltor reached his hand down towards me and I squeezed my eyes shut out of fear. My body seemed to move on it's own as I stretched out my hand and grabbed Keltors.

  F. Willow:"I'm not just Willow! I'm also Keltor!"

Keltor was covered in light then vanished. I suddenly felt a surge of courage and jumped up and did the same thing to male Willow then I turned to Falon.

  F. Willow:"I'm also Falon."

I put my hand on his shoulder and he emitted light, but this time so did I. The light Falon then spoke.

Light Falon:"I didn't expect you to pull yourself back together. I guess you deserve what you came for."

My vision went black and I couldn't feel anything. I regained the feeling in my body and opened my eyes. I was back in that stone room and the elf that brought me there was standing beside me with a look of surprise on his face. He immediately ran out of the room mumbling that he had to speak to the king. I looked around and found no one else there then looked at my body and saw I was once again the male Willow.

I breathed out a sigh of relief and noticed something was in my hand. I pulled it up to my face and realized it was a tablet piece. Half stunned I talked to myself.

  Willow:"I got it?!"

I jumped off the table and ran out of the room. I didn't want to spend anymore time there. I went immediately to the kings throne room and was let in without having to wait.

King:"I'm surprised. Your the first person to ever wake up after that trial."

Willow:"Thank you for letting me take the trial. Now I will be leaving with this piece. You have no problem with that?"

King:"It's yours. You were able to pass the trial which makes it you property not ours so take it."

  Willow:"Thank you."

I left the throne room and went straight back to Laya. I entered the room and saw her lying on the bed then changed to my Keltor form which caused her to looked up at me.

  Laya:"Welcome back!"

I pulled her into my embrace and held her tightly.

  Laya:"What's wrong?!"

Keltor:"The trial brought up a lot of bad memories. I felt....so weak and helpless."

She wrapped her arms around me and comforted me. We laid there together for the rest of the day. We left the next day and I was happy to be out of that city.
