The sperm cell swims into the female reproductive system through it's passageways until it reaches the egg, and the mixture of the two forms something called a Zygote.
In short, the zygote will return to its previous passage commonly known as Uterus, attach there and become something called Embryo.
In turn, the embryo will develop into a Fetus, developing the organs for about 9 months into a human baby.
In the quiet womb, the warm dark world, life begins to whisper. It is there, in mysterious silence, that the fetus develops slowly, growing from an invisible dot into a tiny figure full of potential. Every second it plunges into the depths of the womb, a pce that turns to be the first embrace of the world, where every movement and breath of the mother creates an unspoken rhythm of life.
One to two months ter….
Darkness. Silence. No sound, no form, an inexpressive void.
He was not immediately aware that he still existed. His mind had no concept of time or space in that instant—just about complete silence. Something, however, was gradually materializing in that void deep down. Like a small spark in the middle of an empty ocean, his consciousness began to come into being, though very fuzzy.
There were moments, now and then, when his mind was almost awake, yet before he could gather his thoughts, it vanished once again. Like some indistinct dream which one cannot clearly recall, or like a computer that has just been booted but yet does not have an operating system to run.
Outside his body, the cells continued to divide, forming the primitive nervous system that would one day be his brain. For James, however, nothing had changed. He was a formless grain of existence, suspended in the void.
And then something changed.
A voice.
Mute, amorphous, more the faint humming from afar indistinguishable and incomprehensible, still he was, for the first time, able to make something out through the void that surrounded him. The sound came and was gone, unregur, it seemed to originate from another world, which was still unreachable to him.
With that, before any other analysis, he lost his consciousness once more. Dark. Hollow. Silence.
By this time, James had no idea that his body was a cluster of small cells that just started to take the shape of a fetus inside the womb. No hands, no feet, even his brain was still only early tissue unable to support deep thought.
And so, for now, he was just there: drifting in the void, without control, without understanding.
But her body continued to grow, and so did his consciousness.
Three to four months ter….
Darkness. It was quiet. Yet this time, there was something more.
James started to feel his presence. Still faint, still like a guy who had woken up after a long sleep with a consciousness that hadn't quite recovered, but the difference was there—he was there.
His mind was not clear, as if a thick fog was shrouded around his brain. Every time he tried to recall something, there were small fragments in his mind, but they were too fuzzy to make out clearly.
'Who am I? Where am I? Why can't I move?' James murmured.
Then, there was the first feeling that he could actually realize.
He felt that he was swimming in something hot and soft, like a light summer breeze or a warm bnket. No gravitation pull for him, in whose body a liquid supported each movement. As he tried to move something, if it was the hands, or the feet, or whatever—all he didn't get any overt response. The same as the fisting of one's hand in a dream and never being able to really feel the grasp.
Then, the voice came back.
This time, it was clearer. It was still muffled, still distant, but it had a more pronounced pattern. He couldn't make out the meaning, but there was a certain rhythm—a regur soothing pulse. He didn't know what it was, but somehow, the sound was familiar.
Slowly, his body started to respond more. It cannot see anything but feels the tingle of the pressure around it. Sometimes, there was that slight change in the environment enclosing him—maybe something had moved, or maybe there was a loud noise from the outside. It still was all so unfamiliar, but he knew that the world was not just a void.
There was, however, one thing that bothered him the most. His mind was still sluggish.
He knew he should have been thinking quicker, sharper. There was something on hold, an engine that hadn't fully started. He wanted to analyze the situation, but his brain couldn't keep up.
It felt like he was trapped in a body that didn't belong to James.
Yet he still didn't know what actually was going on. But bit by bit, his consciousness began to strengthen further, and in his mind, the dots were being connected one by one.
And for the first time in his life, something scary crept into her consciousness—he was no longer the same person.
Five to six months ter….
James awoke—or rather, that's how he felt.
This time, his consciousness was far more stable compared to earlier on. The fog that enveloped his mind slowly began to dissipate bit by bit. Though he was not able to think fast yet as he could normally, at least now he knew the line that separated himself and his surroundings.
'Where am I?' he got a question popping up in his head. He knew something was wrong but he couldn't find the answer immediately.
'Wait... this doesn't make sense,' he said, trying to assess the situation, and on second thought, there was something off.
How and why, he did not know, but for sure, he wasn't himself any longer.
The sensations around her were getting clearer. There was a constant pulse, a beating sound, which seemed to envelop the world about him. That sound wasn't just in the background, he could feel it through his whole body. It was someone's heartbeat.
'So, is there anyone around me?' Whichever the reincarnation or possession it is, both supernatural questions never existed in the brain of this human named James.
Previously, no matter how hard he tried to move, nothing was felt. Now, something responds, even though still really weak, not perfect yet. He feels there is little movement.
His hands? His feet? He wasn't sure. But at least he knew he had a body; and that body still was too weak.
‘Sh*t,’ if only he could speak, that would probably be the first word James would say. Because he had just realized his hands were smaller than carrots in the market.
He had finally reached a point where the thoughts were beginning to clear, but his brain still wasn't big enough. Starting to remember more complex information felt like running out of steam in the head, like too much was expected at once.
He soon realized it wasn't just morning confusion.
Not only was he confined to a weak body, but he also had to face the fact that this body was still not ready to support his mature mind.
Something had happened. His brain wasn't developing like normal fetus; it wasn't just the typical development of a baby. Objectively, his brain was slowly growing into a more complex structure, developing faster than it should have, as if his body was trying to race ahead to his pre-existent consciousness.
Does that mean this is going to have a mutation? Will his brain grow into something stronger than the ordinary human? Nobody knows.
Yet one thing is for sure, James cannot stop this process.
Seven to eight months ter….
James no longer doubted the reality he was facing. He had been reincarnated.
Though it would certainly take time for him to recover from this shock.
Perhaps if he had not learned some theological concepts, he would not have known that he was reborn.
Reincarnation, commonly referred to as Samsara in Hinduism and Buddhism, provided the final piece to his first problem.
His consciousness was now fully stabilized. No more chaos of memory fragments, no longer any confusion about his existence. He knew who he was, and he knew where he was in the developing body of a fetus.
However, his better understanding did not bring him any peace of mind; instead, he felt that he was stuck in a very bad situation.
'I should be able to think better than this. But still, this brain isn't mature enough,' he muttered, unable even to use his voice to speak.
Although he could now analyze and remember better, there were areas which were beyond his powers to transcend.
The brain was still in development, and while the pace was faster compared to a normal fetus, it just couldn't work fully like that of an adult's. Of course, there were biological limitations which he was helpless against.
However, there was one thing he realized for sure: his body had become more complete.
The heartbeat of his mother was no longer the only background noise he had, as he could distinguish other sounds outside hia shelter now.
He got used to patterns of voice and rhythm, which were subtle at times, while filled with emotion. Then, there are the heavier and deeper voices, possibly his father.
The outside environmental sounds started to clear but still sounded very muffled, as if someone was talking from behind a thick wall.
Along with the sound, his body sensations are becoming more tangible, too. He can feel when his mother moves, can distinguish between silence and when his body is gently shaken.
Sometimes, there was external pressure like someone's hand touching her mother's belly. Whenever that happened, he could feel it as a gentle pressure on her body.
Whenever anyone touched his mother's tummy, he would gdly shift his legs on purpose. Not too strong, but enough to say he could be in control of his body even better.
As his brain matured, James began to think, 'After I born, what should I do?'
But here is the problem: he can think, can analyze, but he is still a baby after birth. He won't be able to speak right away, won't be able to write, and of course, he can't immediately expin that he is an adult in a baby's body; after all, mutition is not part of the pn.
Another problem came. 'What if the world was different'?
He did not know how much the world was simir to his previous life, only guessing based on the small amount of information he could capture from inside the womb.
There was just too much uncertainty.
But one thing he knew for certain, he would live as a person with the name James.
Since then, days were like torture while waiting for anything.
James was wide awake but could do nothing other than wait for his body to grow big enough to finally be born.
Hee knew this was his st stage in the womb. The contractions started closing in, and the area around his was getting unbearably constricted. He could feel his body getting big and running out of space to move.
But he didn't freak out, because he knew, the time is almost upon us.
