“Sir.” Aldif called after the retreating form of the wizard. He looked down at the baby who let out wails of displeasure.
Aldif knew the description of the demon king well but the babies eyes were so tightly closed in his wailing that Aldif never saw the golden eyes and didn’t make the connection between the child and the demon king.

So Aldif carried the child back to his commanded. Explained what had happened. The Commander furrowed his brows.
“What should I do with him?” Aldif asked his commander. The man waved him away.
“Just send him with the others that are retreating.” He commanded. So that was what Aldif did. He road until he reached the train passed the baby to a nurse reaching out of the slowly moving train.
And that was how the Demon King ended up as an unnamed baby on a retreating train on a random storm night.
