Yes, you, you handsome devil!
First off—if you’ve made it this far, thank you.
Two full books, more than 300,000 words, tons of chapters and scenes, and you’re still here. That makes you one of the dedicated readers who really matter to this story. You’ve invested the time, the attention, and the heart to follow along, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.
Quick announcement before we dive in: It’s been rewritten and improved based on reader feedback, so if you’d like a refresher on the story (or if you’re new and want the definitive version), this is the best way to experience it.
Now that Book 2 is complete and Book 3 is beginning, I’d like to open things up to you. You’ve seen the world and the characters grow, and at this point your perspective is invaluable. I’d love to hear your thoughts on where the story shines, where it struggles, and what directions excite you most moving forward.
Stolen novel; please report.
If you’d like to help shape the journey ahead, please take a moment to comment and share your voice. To make things easier, here are some questions you could answer (you don’t need to hit all of them—just whatever you feel strongly about):
-
What did you like most about Book 2? What did you like least?
-
What do you think the story’s greatest strengths and weaknesses are?
-
Which genre tropes or elements would you like to see more of—and which should I dial back?
-
What other stories (books, games, shows, etc.) do you feel this series sits alongside?
-
Which characters do you want to see more of, and which would you prefer step back a little?
-
If I were to write a second series in the same setting, what would you like that to focus on?
I’ll be reading every comment carefully. The best part of writing here is that it’s not just me at a keyboard. You’ve stuck with Hunter's story through two big arcs, and I’d love for you to help shape what comes next.
Here’s to Book 3 and beyond. If you’ve enjoyed the story so far, please leave a comment below. Let’s make Elderpyre even better—together.
Cheers,
Chris
