Chapter Twenty-Five: I Am Pyro

Sedmo, his cannon glowing with charged energy, unleashed an electro blast. Braxill, despite the smoke still rising from his small body, moved with astonishing speed, running on all fours like a bear. He swifly evaded the destructive beam. In a flash of green light, he imagined his axe but this time he imagined it one fire, solidifying it in his hand, and with newfound ferocity, he swung it repeatedly against Sedmo's armored leg.

The blows connected with sharp, metallic thuds, but while he was fast, he wasn't yet strong enough to cut through the robot's formidable plating.

Sedmo, his optical sensors tracking the blur that was Braxill, lunged. He grabbed Braxill by the neck, his cold, metallic fingers closing around him. An agonizing electric shock coursed through Braxill's body. He screamed, a raw, piercing sound of pure agony. With a grunt of disdain, Sedmo threw him across the ground.

"It's best to vaporize you now," Sedmo stated, his voice flat, "before you perfect your craft." He advanced on the fallen Braxill, aiming his cannon at the boy's face, the weapon beginning to hum with building power. "Inspiration and joy," he declared, "must be destroyed."

As Sedmo's beam charged, Moco slowly stirred, regaining consciousness. Her vision was blurry, but she could make out Braxill lying on the ground, a faint wisp of smoke curling from his hair. Her eyes, still hazy, widened in alarm. A surge of something unfamiliar, primal, coursed through her. In a burst of desperate will, she summoned her scythe, its dark form shimmering into her trembling hand.

She rushed in, a pale wraith against the metal behemoth. Right before Sedmo released his beam, Moco launched herself forward, kicking his arm upwards. The electro blast fired harmlessly into the sky.

Without a pause, she swung her scythe, banging its dull side against Sedmo's head.

The impact, though lacking true force due to her weakness, still rang with a defiant clang. Sedmo attempted to strike her several times but she was so quick, infact she was so fast it seems as if her scythe was deteched from it's handle.

Sedmo, annoyed by the interference, kicked her, sending her flying like a ragdoll. But before she could hit the ground, a series of bone-like arms erupted from her back, cushioning her fall. "Thank you, Boney," Moco whispered, her eyes wide with surprise at her own creation.

Sedmo's optical sensors scanned the bone appendages, registering the new manifestation of Abi. "Another artist," he stated, his voice tinged with a hint of unsettling realization. "This is an unsettling revelation. The decree that the King has imposed is effectively proper and warrants a heavier hand on the human population." He turned his cannon into a spinning drill, its tip whirring menacingly. "I am going to drill and drill until you're turned into a pile of flesh."

"Boney, cover me!" Moco commanded, her voice gaining a surprising strength. Suddenly, more bones erupted from Moco's body, rapidly encasing her in the form of a magnificent, feline creature of bone. The creature, Boney, roared, its form radiating a fierce, protective aura.

The feline creature charged in, delivering rapid, cat-like strikes with its sharp claws. Sedmo dodged, then plunged his drill into the side of Boney. The bone creature shrieked in pain, a terrible, grinding sound. From inside Boney's protective armor, Moco could hear the sickening sound of the drill tearing into the bone. Boney flew across the ground, sliding to a halt. The bone creature slowly stood up, trembling, as Sedmo revved his drill again. Boney took several steps back, clearly wary of the drill.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

From inside, Moco registered Boney's fear. "You're worried about that drill," she whispered. Boney responded with a low growl of agreement.

"You cannot hide in that thing forever!" Sedmo roared, charging in again, his drill spinning. Boney evaded, narrowly dodging the attack. Sedmo, adapting, swiftly transformed his other arm into a cannon and fired an electro beam, hitting Boney square on. The bone creature crashed into a large rock, its form shattering slightly.

"Boney!" Moco screamed, trapped within. Boney lay sprawled out, unmoving, clearly knocked out cold. "Boney, get up!" Moco pleaded, banging against the inside of her skeletal prison.

Sedmo advanced, standing over the fallen feline creature.

He raised his drill high and plunged it into Boney's chest.

Moco gasped as she saw bone shards slightly fall from inside the protective bone armor, feeling the tremors of the devastating impact. "Darn it! What do I do?" she cried, her voice laced with desperation.

Suddenly, a brilliant explosion appeared by Sedmo's head, rocking the Delta Robot. He staggered, his aim thrown off, then fell to the ground.

Braxill stood, smoke still curling from his hair, his eyes blazing with an intense, unwavering anger. "You stupid robot!" he screamed, his voice raw. "Get off of her!"

Braxill's words, simple yet powerful, pierced Moco from inside Boney's armor, a jolt of recognition and warmth in her despair.

Sedmo slowly stood, his mechanical face now disfigured. The inner workings of his broken, metallic skull were visible, sparks occasionally flying. "I must eliminate you first," he growled, his voice now a grating snarl.

"How about we make a deal?" Braxill retorted, his eyes narrowed. "Hand over the prisoners from the selection cargo ship you and your rebels hijacked, and I shall let you live another day. Of course, we will return shortly to execute you, but humans value life, even if it may be short."

"You are not in a position to negotiate, child," Sedmo sneered. "It's pragmatically the best option for you."

Braxill's grin widened, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "Grixie, Gravixor, Grinex, and all the bears... they are my joy. Even Moco, although she thinks I'm annoying, but I still like her. I'm not taking your stupid offer. But I've got one for you: Go back to where you came from and I won't torch you.

Sedmo scoffed, regaining his composure. "Such an offer is not plausible. I am a state-of-the-art Delta Robot. Your creations are incapable—"

Braxill's grin turned feral. "Imagine this, I am Pyro!"

Braxill's hand turned into a ball of fire. He punched his fist releasing ethereal fire chains. They wrapped around Sedmo. The robot struggled, attempting to break free, but the chains, shimmering with Abi energy, held him firmly.

Then, from Braxill's mouth, fire materialized, roaring to life. "Pyro Tyrannosaurus!"

Braxill unleashed a massive, searing fire blast that consumed Sedmo entirely.

The robot, caught in the intense, magical flames, steadily melted, his metallic form bubbling and dissolving into a molten puddle.

  Sedmo "Overheating, system overload"

Moco watched in stunned silence from within Boney's damaged shell as the mighty Delta Robot, Sedmo, was reduced to nothing. Braxill stood for a moment, swaying, before his eyes rolled back and he knelt onto the ground, finally passing out from exhaustion and the strain of his Art.

"Braxill!" Moco screamed, her voice cracking with desperation. She forced Boney to move, scrambling out of its shattered form, and rushed over to him. She dropped to her knees beside him, shaking his small body. "Braxill! Braxill!"
