Meanwhile, in the quiet sanctuary of the Library of Wonders, Braxill sat, his eyes scanning ancient images on a projected screen. He sighed, a soft exhalation of contentment. "That's it for today," he murmured, his curiosity momentarily sated.
A disembodied voice, gentle yet profound, echoed in the stillness, though Braxill seemed not to notice its source. "So Rasby took away your memories and Joy has taken a liking to you. Sweet child, Joy is the gift from God, but fear kills joy, and everyone fears something."
Gravixor, who had finally succumbed to exhaustion, was fast asleep nearby, sprawled out comfortably on a pile of furs. Suddenly, a heavy book tumbled from a shelf, hitting the floor with a loud thump. Braxill startled, turning sharply. He walked over, bending down to pick up the fallen tome. As he opened it, his eyes scanned the page. "What is this?" he whispered, his brow furrowed in confusion.
In the distance, an ethereal Angel shimmered into existence, unnoticed by Braxill. She watched him, a faint smile gracing her features, her gaze full of a profound understanding". She gleefully said "Let me remind you what you fear Braxill."
But Braxill's eyes, fixed on the page, suddenly he felt a presenc behind him, his eyes widened in unadulterated horror. His body stiffened, a choked gasp escaping his lips. The book slipped from his trembling fingers, clattering to the floor. He screamed, a raw, piercing sound of pure terror.
Braxill "It's you."
Braxill's bear ears faded. His voice shivered "Mr. Raoch"
Mr. Roach his voice the sound of high pitched japanese girl, "Braxill, did you forget me and mama, you've been a very bad boy, you must be punished."
Braxill screamed, his screech echoing through the library.
Gravixor, jolted awake, sprang out of her sleep, her bear instincts immediately alert. "Braxill!" she roared, scrambling towards him. He was already crawling under a nearby table, panting, his small body trembling violently.
Suddenly, Braxill was overwhelmed by a horrific flashback: the stinging lash of a whip hitting his bare back, the chilling silhouettes of seven other children lined up, their faces distorted by silent cries of agony. Above them, a monstrous, evil woman stood, her shadow casting a long, terrifying pall. Braxill's vision broke, the horror of the past slamming into the present.
One of the shaodws spoke "Don't go to the surface little brother, run or she'll find you"
Gravixor, panting herself, crawled under the table beside him. "It's okay, little cub," she soothed, her voice deep and comforting. "I am here. You're safe." Tears streamed down Braxill's face, his body still shaking uncontrollably.
Gravixor carefully crawled out from under the table. She looked at the book, then at the page that had triggered his terror. It was a depiction of a grotesque, giant cockroach-like creature. With a snarl of pure fury, she tore the page out, ripping it into tiny, crumpled pieces. She then showed Braxill the shredded bits, her voice firm. "See? It's gone now. You don't have to be afraid. That thing can't hurt you anymore." Braxill's frantic breathing slowly began to calm.

Later, he lay curled on Gravixor's lap in the quiet library, his small body finally still. "I don't want to see that thing again," he mumbled, his voice muffled against her fur.
"You don't have to," Gravixor promised, her hand gently rubbing through his soft afro. "I'm here, and I'll protect you." His eyes, however, still lingered with the shadow of fear, a raw vulnerability he hadn't shown before.
The Black angel disppeared into nothing.
War Preparations and a Sudden Strike
Meanwhile, in another part of the Bear Tribe, Grinex was directing several soldier bears, their paws already busy shaping crude but effective makeshift axes. "So, we're actually going to wage war against the Royals?" Grutix asked, a mixture of awe and trepidation in her voice.
"Yeah," Grinex confirmed, his jaw set. "We've even got the Coyotes and the Monkeys fighting alongside us. This is it."
"How long do you think it will take for us to be prepared for such a big war?" Grutix asked, assessing the growing pile of weapons.
Grinex hefted a newly finished axe. "Well, us bears are really good at building axes, but I'd say we need about two weeks... no, a week."
Grutix scoffed. "One week is pushing it, Grinex. That's a massive undertaking."
Grinex grinned, a rare, genuine smile. "Not with you on our side, Grutix. You're the smartest bear here. You design the Ursine Axes we use. Your schematics are unbeatable."
Grutix's fur puffed out slightly, glowing with pride at the compliment. "Then one week it is!" she declared, already brainstorming improvements.
Grixie, oblivious to the accelerating preparations for war, was out traveling with other bears, diligently scavenging for berries in a nearby valley.
The unsettling quiet of the valley was shattered without warning. Sleek, metallic Delta Robots materialized seemingly out of thin air, appearing directly in front of the Berryville barrier. One of the leading robots, its form radiating cold efficiency, placed a massive hand on the energy barrier. The robot's fist charged with a visible crackle of electricity, and then, with a single, devastating punch, it shattered the barrier into shimmering pieces.
Several more Delta Robots immediately rushed in, cold and efficient, their movements too swift, their methods too advanced for the gentle giants to fully resist. This brutal assault wasn't isolated; it was taking place simultaneously in every animal tribe and in several Zoner populations. The robots moved with chilling precision, systematically picking off bears, incapacitating them one by one.
Among their unsuspecting victims was Grixie. Before she could even react, several Delta Robots surrounded her. They tased her repeatedly until she was unconscious, her massive body slumping to the ground. They then shackled her with heavy chains and dragged her unceremoniously into a large, cybernetic truck. Inside the dark, humming interior of the truck, other animals were already huddled—monkeys, coyotes, lizards—their faces etched with fear and confusion. And amidst them, pale and equally terrified, was Moco.
Back in Berryville, Grinex and Grutix, who had rushed to the shattered barrier, found themselves surrounded.
Several Delta Robots stood over them, their glowing red eyes fixed on the two bears, weapons leveled, making it clear they were to comply.
Then, a larger, more imposing robot stepped forward. This was Crankor, the head commander of the Delta units he himself is a state of the art robot. His voice, metallic and synthesized, boomed across the shocked village. "Attention, inhabitants of Berryville! Your frivolous existence has been tolerated long enough. By order of King Mr. Green, the annual selections are hereby reinstated, and this time, all animal tribes are included."
Grinex growled "What did you say!"
Grutix "What about the agreement our tribe leaders made to avoid selections as long as we maintained population control which we have".
He paused, allowing his words to sink in. "Your kind has proliferated without sufficient contribution to the Royal domain. From this day forward, a portion of your population will be relocated to the Surface, where their energies may serve a greater purpose. Resistance is futile. Compliance is mandatory."
He made no mention of the King's true plan to transform the island into a pure royal dominion, only the immediate, terrifying decree of "selection."
Grinex and Grutix could do nothing but watch in horror and despair as their tribe members were systematically rounded up, their makeshift axes suddenly useless against the overwhelming, advanced might of the Delta Robots. The sounds of struggle, the whir of machinery, and the cries of their people filled the air.
