My training was finally complete. It had taken two exhausting days.

  Eden taught me everything he knew. He pushed me through every hardship, every limit of my body and mind. Because of him, I could now use my powers with focus and control.

  For that, I was truly grateful.

  I wanted to thank him properly, but the moment the training ended, he rushed toward the west side of the city. There had been an attack there. The hunters needed backup, so Eden and several others immediately left to help.

  For a moment, I thought about going with him.

  But then I remembered why I was here.

  My family.

  They were my priority.

  And to be honest, I knew Eden could handle it. He was an elite hunter after all — a true veteran. As they say, the older the blade, the more valuable it becomes. Eden was exactly like that… a vintage piece filled with experience, power, and knowledge.

  So instead, I returned to my academy room.

  The place was a mess after the training days, so I started cleaning it. Books were scattered everywhere, training gear lay on the floor, and the bed looked like it had survived a storm.

  While I was fixing the room, the door suddenly opened.

  Sophy walked in.

  She looked at the room, then at me, slightly surprised.

  “Hey, Kelix,” she said, crossing her arms. “Why are you doing this? I can handle it.”

  I stopped for a moment and looked at her.

  “It’s fine,” I replied with a small smile. “I’ve made enough mess already.”

  Sophy rolled her eyes and walked further inside.

  “You just finished two days of brutal training with Eden,” she said. “Normal people would be sleeping right now.”

  “Maybe,” I said. “But I’m not exactly normal anymore.”

  She paused after hearing that.

  Her expression became serious.

  “So… it’s true?” she asked quietly. “You can really control your power now?”

  I looked at my hand for a moment.

  A faint energy flickered around my fingers… calm, stable.

  Then I closed my fist.

  “Yes,” I said.

  “And this time… it won’t control me.”

  “Oh, and you know what?” she added. “Arian didn’t tell anyone that you’re leaving the academy today.”

  Kelix raised an eyebrow.

  “Why?”

  Sophy laughed softly. “Because all the female hunters here are crazy about you. If they found out, you’d never make it out of the academy.”

  Kelix chuckled.

  “Arian is still Arian,” he said, shaking his head. “Anyway… I hope we meet again soon.”

  “I hope so too,” Sophy replied.

  She looked at him for a moment before saying softly,

  “Have a safe journey, Kelix.”

  “Thanks, Sophy.”

  I stepped out of the room. I had no belongings to take with me. I had only cleaned the room and left it the way it was before.

  After that, I went to meet Arian.

  “Thanks for trusting me,” I said.

  Arian nodded and then told me the spell needed to enter and leave the academy.

  It was finally time to go.

  “I hope we meet again soon,” Arian said. “Our doors are always open for you. If there isn’t an emergency, I will definitely send my team to help you. But we can’t risk other hunters’ lives. I’m sorry about that.”

  “No, it’s okay,” I replied. “What you’ve already done is more than enough. But I don’t think we’ll meet again soon… because after I find my family, I don’t want to be involved with any of this anymore.”

  “Yeah… I understand your point,” Arian said.

  Then he added,

  “Oh, and one last thing. Be careful, Kelix. And if you ever want to know something about yourself… you can always come back here.”

  “you are always welcome here at anytime” .

  “What about me “?“but why do I even ask you first of all and the next thing is how do you know more about me than me? Are you an astrologer?”

  “Did I say about you ?….humph well no maybe not you or you don’t worry maybe you have mistaken or I said it wrong .”

  ”You are so confusing sometimes, what you say, what you do, well I am going”.

  “Remember my words Kelix , Okay have a nice day” .

  Kelix is leaving and Arian shouting from his back ,says a bye to me or at least you have to give me a hug Kelix ,Kelix sighs and doesn't even turn and he just leaves.

  As soon as Kelix left , Arian is in deep thought and his expression is serious

  It’s been a while since I've sensed his power. I hope Kelix knows about it. He will come back here soon for sure.

  Kelix came back to his home .

  He gets to his room, takes a shower and changes his clothes .

  Kelix calls the officer's son to ask if he may find something.

  “Hey Richard it’s me Kelix did you find something “.

  “Yes Kelix, actually i found the file of that case but it’s not at my home actually I called the department and they said the file is not here it’s at another officer’s home.”

  “He's my father’s friend. They work on most cases together . He's retired now and I am in touch with him for my cases today.”

  “I try to reach him. but he is not picking up but I send him the voicemail I give you his address. You can go there and say my name. They will know that I sent you there .”

  “Okay thanks. It's a big help for me thank you” .

  I got the address, and without wasting any time, I took my bike and headed toward the house. It was almost a three-hour ride.

  I tried to use my powers to move faster, but because of the intense training, my whole body was still in pain. Every time I tried to use even a little speed or power, my body started hurting.

  A sharp stinging pain spread through my muscles. Sweat poured down my body as if I had just finished two hours of heavy exercise. Dizziness followed soon after whenever I tried to push my powers.

  Because of that, I had no choice but to rely on my bike.

  It was afternoon, and I rode as fast as I could toward the house.

  Luckily for me, there was no traffic today.

  Ding Dong

  I rang the bell no one came out , I pressed it again, still no answer then again and the door opened and a man appeared with a calm smile .

  ”May I help you.”

  ”Yes Richard told you that I will come today .”

  “Ohh yes he told me Kelix right come in “.

  ”Thank you , I sat on the sofa. It's a small house enough for one person” .

  “Well, I came here to ask about the 2010 case. Do you remember it, or do you still have the file?”

  “Actually, I have a brain injury, so I tend to forget many things. And the file… I don’t remember where I put it years ago. I tried to find it today, but I couldn’t.”

  “I thought the file was useless since the case was already solved, so I never really tried to look for it. Maybe I misplaced it somewhere… or maybe I threw it in the trash.”

  Kelix frowned slightly.

  “You said you mostly forget things, but you clearly remember that you threw the file away.”

  “Well… you’re right,” the man said awkwardly. “Actually, Richard called me today and asked about that file. That’s why I started looking for it. When someone reminds me with a few details, it helps me remember things.”

  Kelix nodded slowly.

  “So if I tell you the details of the case… do you think you might remember the incident? Honestly, hearing it from you would be better than reading a file.”

  “No no I can’t “.

  Kelix tells him about the case .

  “Yeah, today's generation can get curious easily. It's so good to see young ones like you.”

  “Have a good day “.

  ”Yes, thank you.”

  Kelix left the home.
