  As they stepped toward the entrance of the Cave of Darkness, the temperature dropped sharply, and the wind from the mountain peaks carried the scent of moisture and stalactites. Daylight slowly faded, while stones and dark shadows created an uneasy feeling. Akira led the group, each step careful as he listened to the sounds coming from the cave’s depths.
