Chapter 1
Sun was rising on the horizon, wind cold and gently brushing off the trees with the sunlight so warm and gentle falling on the nd. The fields shined in golden color. A tall cold metal gate of a castle, strong enough to withstand a tsunami. There stood a boy staring into the horizon, his face like a stone in the storm — completely calm. A blue light approached him, a butterfly rustling around him for a bit and then sat on his shoulder. The boy unbothered by it just kept standing still, staring into the horizon.
“Allen. Let’s start our journey,” said the glowing butterfly.
Allen started walking silently without saying a word.
“Allen, are you excited that we are starting our journey?” asked Sep.
Allen just kept walking forward as Sep started to fly in front of him.
“Tch, you are no fun Allen. I am feeling down now that you don’t feel as excited as me,” Sep said with a frustrated expression.
Allen just calmly walked, unbothered by Sep’s words.
“You are quieter than usual. At least say something,” sighed Sep.
“Why? You talk for both of us no?” replied Allen.
Wait — he might be right. Anyway, looks like he is finally talking.
“Finally talking are we. So are you excited?” Sep said, brimming with excitement.
“Maybe,” Allen replied with a single word and kept walking into the horizon.
I don’t see why you are excited this much.
As the sun was rising through the mountains and the wind brushed towards them, they kept walking.
“Allen, where are we going first?”
“The kingdom of water,” said Allen.
“Oh that sounds wonderful — I heard the views of the waterfall there are wonderful and that it has the rgest waterfall in all seven kingdoms,” said Sep, excited and passionately.
“Hmm. Is that so,” Allen replied without any excitement.
“Hmm hmm, don’t you give me that hmm,” said Sep, annoyed.
“Hmm,” Allen replied.
“Come on, it’s our first adventure — at least talk to me. Or else I might feel lonely. You know, a poor little butterfly who doesn’t have anyone to talk to is just sad. Don’t you think?” said Sep, acting all whiny and sobbing.
“Okay, alright. I will,” replied Allen.
“Allen, how about we take a break? We have been walking for quite a while,” Sep said with new enthusiasm.
I need a break.
“But you have wings,” Allen said logically.
You fly, not walk.
“For a guy with a poker face you sure make some jokes,” said Sep, annoyed.
“Was that a joke?” Allen questioned.
Holy — he just made fun of me without knowing. Hmph.
“Yes, you dum dum.” A sigh. “Forget it, let’s move on.”
The both of them started their journey after a short break.
