Chapter 41: What needed to be done
I was going for the door that led to the outside of the room, which was where Katze got his awakening. I dragged Katze outside, whilst his outfit was grinding with the surface. His greca-style overcoat was fortunately not getting dirty, because the baby blue surface didn’t dirty his clothes. It was a little hard due to the difference in weight, Katze was heavier than me a lot. And, imagine that a girl’s strength like me was trying to drag him out, it was difficult and exhausting. However, I knew some girls are much stronger than me, possibly they train or they were blessed.
Welp, that was kind of off topic, I switched to focus on the next thing.
–
Osparious: “It was successfully done.”
–
I opened the door, and if I tried to drag him like I was earlier, I would inevitably dirty his outfit. However, it wasn’t the time to think of that. I didn’t know where the resting room was. The room didn’t have any other doors, except the two I already walked in. Then, I remembered that I could use the buff in my incorporeal inventory.
Wish to activate it?
Strength: +4
Your strength after the buff: **
Yes or No
Yes.
Your strength has increased.
The prize was based on the prediction I made a very long time ago, but I didn’t remember what conditions and outcomes I implanted.
The effect didn’t leave any impressions for me to reckon with, but it surely strengthened me. I grasped Katze’s right arm and hurled his arm around my neck. With buff, Katze was still kind of heavy, but I could bring him along with not much difficulty. Katze was taller than me, but it wasn’t too much a difference. I was 175 centimeters tall, whilst I guessed that Katze was a bit up 180 centimeters tall. Since, when I stood side by side with him, I reached his forehead’s height. Thus, I was dragging him by my shoulders, still his boots were inevitably gliding to the surface. His boots were brownish, hopefully it wasn’t dirty that much.
I finally reached the door that led to the room that had triple doors. After going back, I was deciding which one to go for. Since the front door was already explored, there were still two left, which were the right and left one. According to Katze’s saying earlier, he said that each section(the block) has a resting room. Therefore, fifty percent chance went for both doors, and I had a fifty percent chance to pick the correct one. Eventually, I picked the right door.
It seemed like these doors were left for a long time, when I opened the right door and it made a screeching sound. The room led to another spacious room. On the opposite side of this door, there was a silver-colored door. Other than that, the room had countless white coma shaped souls(?) floating and flying relentlessly. Besides, there were purple torches that brightened the room. They were attached to the wall on the right and left. The path was surely inevitable about bumping into some of it. Before I progressed on, I was examining the flying objects.
You want to inspect the objects?
Yes.
You’ll lose one inspecting point
Sure.
Processing…

The flying objects you’re seeing are marks of exploration, this is the quintuplets’ number of universes and civilizations made. Civilizations’ achievements are mostly related to your species, humans. This won’t harm you when you touch it.
…
The hostility had vanished, I progressed. Katze was still slumbering on my right shoulder. I needed to bring him to the nearest resting room despite the danger of the unknown. If it was a matrix he said, surely the construction was a randomizer. This basically meant that even Katze and the quintuplets didn’t know specific locations of this mansion. If I guess correctly, this mansion would always swap to random locations, which means they would constantly move and switch. The quintuplets surely spent a lot of time in the previous room. Once they left, the room immediately swapped to another room from the construction site. That was probably the reason why they didn’t find it, and they left it there having no interactions. Without tending, the room was in a moldy state as it was shown by its gloomy environment.
Stolen story; please report.
I was moving toward the door that stood afar in front. I was accompanying Katze as well. This time, the door was gradually opening as someone was going near it. Consequently, I stood before it, the dimension behind showed an ordinary bed that had stands. The room’s wall was painted with repetitive patterns. A chandelier placed in the middle was the only light that shone down the bedroom. There was a sleeping lamp standing on the night table next to the bed on the right side. On the left side, there was a balcony. This bedroom is a common thing in almost every affluent family’s house in my old world. Then, I stepped through the door and dragged Katze to bed. I put the blanket on him, the temperature was chill, so it was cozy to be honest. Also, I had a chance to read Osparious’s inner, but I didn’t know whether it was the right time to read.
You need to complete the objective to obtain the prize
That’s right, I implanted one hundred percent into the outcome that I would explore the whole mansion to read Katze’s past. With Katze’s state at that time, I wondered whether I should progress alone or I should wait for him. I could wake him up with the prize in the storage.

A wind blew about his head, but it was blocked by a black trail, clashing against the wind. The wind was the effect of the prize, and it was blocked by the black trail emanating suddenly from Katze’s inner. It looked like the trail emerged through his skin. I was astonished and resentful at the same time. However, my goal was thrown into nothingness, since the effect was to make him wake up. At that time, it was the discretion whether I should impose it on him again or I should explore the mansion by myself. Because I want to read both of them as soon as possible.
Then, I decided,

The same wind, the effect, was blowing toward Katze.
BRUP BRUP
The dark trails emerged out like tentacles from an octopus. They made the sound of something similar to slimes. They flicked the wind and made the effect gone once again.
“These stubborn thorny things!”
Wish to use it again?
Yes!

More shadow tentacles emerged from Katze. They started to prose themselves as dangerous weapons. They all made the same slime-like sound. And as expected, the effect was flicked by those tentacles.

Effect and benefits: slash all magic effects. The dagger can only be used with your dominant hand [your left hand]. When equipped, your hand would be invincible. There are still many other effects that the dagger had due to your predictions that improved the dagger.
Use it?
Yes.
…
A blue cursive dagger popped in my left hand. It was a light weight weapon I would always use for combat. With the effect suitable for this specific circumstance, which is slashing all magic effects, I could slash all the tentacles being visible.

Sooner had I taken my weapon than the tentacles emerged more from him. Seemingly, his appearance was covered with the tentacles. Probably, they were trying to protect its host from hostility.
The wind from nothingness traveled to Katze, whilst I was timing for the right time when all of those shadow thorns started to gather in a bunch to flick the effect away. As expected, they gathered in a bunch. I slashed it. Eventually, the wind was able to travel to Katze.
…
…
BRUP BRUP!
Purple bubbles started to emerge from his head. Bubbles formed more and more. Finally, they were enough to conceal Katze’s face. Then, the bubbles popped and bursted out a radiation. It was neutralizing the effect from getting into Katze’s mind. I was infuriated toward the phenomenon, rather than being frightened and disgusted by the scene.
“Damn it.”
I decided to explore the mansion by myself. I decided to apologize to Katze, because he told me to go with him. It was risky, because if I went outside the door, the room would be swapped with another room with different things. Therefore, I was kinda hesitant to go.
But it was only if I didn’t have any prizes that helped me teleport and pinpoint.
Use pinpoint?
Yes.

Katze was marked. I could finally go. Grasping the blue cursive dagger tightly, I opened the door and left.

The dimension was swapped, instead of the souls-wandering dimension previously. At that time, the room was horrendous. There were some black marks, fissures and holes around the entire room. The room’s wall was painted magenta. However, at the end of the tile, the wall was painted pitch black. I somewhat guessed what was the purpose of this room.
This room was probably a training area.
There was a door in the middle at the end of the tile. However…there was someone wearing a white overcoat greca-style with a hood. In the middle of the person’s chest was a magenta crystal in rhombus shape. Was that a customizable mannequin especially used for training?
“It looked like it, but I wonder if it attacks me randomly and suddenly.”
It was a probability that this situation was a setup for a fight. The mannequin stood still and hadn’t moved yet. It seemed harmless, but what could lay behind that unrevealed face? I threw the dagger toward its head in a straight trajectory. The dagger pierced through its head immediately, owing to the fact that the mannequin didn’t dodge or move away. Seemingly, it was definitely a mannequin, since it sprayed no blood.
“...”
The dagger flew back to my left hand. I was moving to the door. As my hand was about to twist the doorknob, I felt a presence behind.
“!?”
The mannequin already stood up sound and all. It looked vigorous, but its face was pitch black like a void. Thus, I didn’t see its expressions. I got into a ready posture, thinking that I would fight. However, the mannequin stood there silently, nothing had commenced yet.
“Are you a sandbag?”
The mannequin didn’t reply, and it simply just stood there. It was granted invincibility, meaning that it cannot die nor be damaged. Fortunately, it was just a sandbag. If it had malicious intents, it would surely be a difficult opponent to deal with, since I cannot harm him.
Mannequin: “Come…here…to…train…if…you…want.”
Spoke utterly, I comprehended what it was trying to say. However, this took so much of my time. I needed to focus on exploring the next room.
-
Osparious: “No need to hurry. You and I have time. I also have my standpoints. Until that time comes, you won’t see me again. But then you’ll realize that everything is a setup for the experiment to bloom.”
