Chapter 6 - The Mall

Alex gasped. “Where are all the people?”

“Follow me, Breadstick...” said the robot with a monotonous tone.

“Ok, hold on! From now on, I call you Breadstick. You just call me Alex.”

  “Copy that, Alex Breadstick.”

Suddenly, what he said lit a lightbulb in his head.

“Hey, Breadstick, do you know who created you?” Alex looked at Breadstick curiously.

“Other T-8000s in the robot factory.” Breadstick said.

“Wow! There is a robot facto–”

“We have arrived, Alex. This is the CMH. ‘City Mall for Humans,’”

  “Let’s take a look, Breadstick!”

There were plenty of shops in the mall. Some from his present day were still operating. On his right, it was Calvin Klein. Alex loved their underwear, even though he didn’t have any himself. He loved the logo, though. And ooh! Starbucks was still selling their Pink Drink!

But… the humans. There was something terribly wrong about them. Why were they all staring blanky into space?
