Chapter 74: Wing Frogs 4

“How many Frog Warriors did you guys kill?” Zhen asked while handing out healing potions.

“Should be around 50. Kenji's last skill killed more than 20 of those hoppers,” Anon replied after chugging down the grade 2 healing potion.

Even with the help of his gift [Iron], he sustained many minor injuries.

“Oh, you learned a new skill.” Zhen was envious of Kenji's overwhelming talent.

While he has to work his ass off to barely afford [Skill Books], Kenji just spent a few days mastering a few skill.

“Yes, Uuuuhnnn but…the consumption…is too Uuuuhnnn high…Using it…for a few seconds…depletes all my…reserves.” Kenji replied while enduring the pain; just moving his mouth was a painful experience.

“Since you are feeling pain, it shouldn't be a simple jaw dislocation. From scale 1 to 10, how much pain are you feeling?”

Zhen asked as both Anon and Joon had recovered and were ready to go back for another round.

“Probably…around 6 or 7,” Kenji replied while trying not to move his mouth much.

“6 isn't a lot. With that healing potion, you will manage. Here, take this grade 2 Recovery potion. It can instantly recover 1,000 units of Ki while also boosting Ki restoration speed.” Today, Zhen only planned on killing one or two Frog Kings.

But since the trio had already killed almost half of the Frog Warriors in the pond, and Kenji seemed to have learned a new skill, he figured they could clear the whole pond.

As for Kenji's injury, he didn't care; it's not like he was going to die.

“Kenji, we should really go see the Fairy doctor. The pain is too much.”

When Zhen planned to continue hunting Frog Warriors, Keni wanted to take over the body and had a lengthy talk with him, but the sharp pain made him retreat instinctively.

“Don't worry, I have dealt with worse.” Unlike Keni, Kenji has faced worse pain, and the healing potion had started working; with each passing moment, he was feeling a little better.

If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

After half an hour of recovering, they headed back to the pond.

  “Joon, do it!”

Correcting his posture, Joon fired an extra-large lightning arrow at the pond, causing hundreds of Wind Frogs and tens of Frog Warriors to die.

The Frog Warriors that came out of the pond weren't in their best condition either.

“Excellent! Remember to avoid acid spits.” After Zhen's reminder, an intensive battle started.

At first, it was difficult to avoid the acid rain and fight the Frog Warriors.

But as the Wind Frogs ran out of acid and dived back into the pond, the fight became much easier.

Without the hindrance of aroki spider silk, they frantically started killing the Frog Warriors.

Zhen, with his [Fast] gift and extremely sharp sword, cut Frog Warriors into pieces like butter.

Anon was engaged in a close quarters brawl like before. Meanwhile, Joon kept his distance and killed a Frog Warrior every now and then.

Keni didn't want to continue fighting as the itchiness and pain were too much for him. But the promise of getting to eat as much as he could was too tempting.

Thus, whenever the number of Frog Warriors increased a lot, Keni used Ki ray to kill the majority of them.

The fight continued for a whole hour before they managed to kill off all the Wind Frogs and Frog Warriors.

“I will go get the [King's Poison]; you guys focus on recovering,” Zhen said before jumping into the pond.

“Kenji, will you be able to even walk back to the city?” Joon asked, seeing Kenji’s miserable condition.

Unlike Zhen and Anon, Kenji didn't have any defensive gift or skill; thus, he had to bear the attacks of the Frog Warriors with his body.

If it wasn't for the Bronze Body, Kenji wouldn't be able to bear even a single kick from the Frog Warriors.

“I think I'm going to sleep. After seeing the doctor, remember to buy a bottle of body-refining pills,” Keni said to Kenji, exhausted.

He didn't know he would get tired.

“I don't…know.” Kenji knew his condition was very bad.

Many bones in his body were broken, and he was only able to remain conscious with the help of the healing potions.

“Don't worry, we will carry you back to the city,” Anon said while taking a few painkillers.

Although he wasn't badly hurt, his body was sore, his muscles stiff, and he could hardly stand up straight.

Joon’s condition was slightly better, as only one of his legs had broken.

“He shouldn't have spent all the funds?” Joon wondered, as only Zhen remained unharmed throughout the whole battle thanks to his newly purchased skills.

Since he didn't know the ranks of the new skills that Zhen used, Joon had a hunch that he might have been using the party fund.

A quarter of an hour later, Zhen emerged from the pond with a beaming smile on his face.

Today, he really hit the jackpot; not only did he collect all the King's Poison, but he also found a few drops of water essence inside the pond.

A Grade 4 sacrificial material which could easily fetch 100–150 gold coins.

“Find something good?” Anon asked, seeing Zhen return with a big smile on his face.

“Nothing aside from King's Poison. But it's a lot.” Zhen didn't tell them about the water essence.

He had done this countless times before. Anything that he found without the trio being present would fall into his pocket.

“Anon, you help Joon, while I will carry Kenji,” Zhen said while taking one last look at the hundreds of carcasses of Wind Frogs around him.

“Aren't we taking them?” Anon asked, as Zhen had only collected less than half of the Wind Frog carcasses.

“The storage bag is full, and Wind Frogs aren't worth that much either,” Zhen replied.

As level 1 monsters, Wind Frog carcasses only sell for around 10 copper coins. All the Wind Frogs in the pond combined could hardly sell for a few gold coins.

“Okay. Come on, give me a hand.” Putting Joon's arm on his shoulder, Anon started walking him back to the city.

“Ahhh, don't…touch there. Ahhh!” While getting Kenji on his back, Zhen accidentally touched a broken bone, causing Kenji to howl out in pain.

But it wasn't the end, as soon Zhen lost his grip and Kenji fell to the ground.

“Wh…..” The impact from hitting the ground was too much and caused the broken bones to shift, leading to internal injuries.

Before long Kamil started bleeding and fell into a coma.
