  “It’s too… early.” Kenji peeked at the clock hanging on the wall and then went back to sleep.

  “How can I even go to sleep? Usually, Kenji goes to sleep when his body is tired, but I feel like I have endless energy. Why is that?” As Kenji went back to sleep, Keni once again started to think of a way to sleep.

  “Keni, Keni… are you there?” When Kenji saw an additional gift in his status window, he knew he hadn’t dreamed about Keni.

  “Why are you screaming? Do you have any idea how hard it was for me to fall asleep?” Under Kenji’s constant calling, Keni woke up and asked in an annoyed voice.

  After the brief interaction, Keni went back to finish the great dream he was having when Kenji woke him up.

  Knowing that Keni was still there, Kenji began packing his stuff. Yesterday, they decided to move out of the housing complex and rent a room at Cherry Inn near the city gate.

  “Code Soul! We have a Code Soul!” As the soul signature inside Kenji’s body changed, the Fairy called out in an emergency.

  “What happened?” It wasn’t long before the manager of the Cherry Inn came running.

  “Sir, this human has a foreign soul residing inside him.” The Fairy quickly informed the manager using Soul Power.

  “Foreign soul? Who would be so foolish?”

  In the whole Ancient World, aside from their Fairy race, no one else has a powerful enough soul to wander around and occupy another body.

  Thus the manager had a hard time believing that one of their own would dare occupy a human body.

  But as he scanned the human before him, his face turned grim.

  “How dare you! Do you think His Majesty’s words are a joke!” The manager of the Cherry Inn shouted angrily at Keni, who was currently in control of their body.

  When His Majesty appointed the Fairy Race as the overseers of the Ascension Program alongside the Were-Beast Race, His Majesty warned that he wouldn’t tolerate body snatching.

  “What are you doing?” Under the overwhelming pressure of the manager’s soul, Keni started trembling.

  “This doesn’t seem right. You are not a Fairy soul, you are human. How is this possible?” It took the manager a while to notice that the second soul residing inside Kenji’s body wasn’t a Fairy.

  “Human kid, what is going on? How can you have two souls?” the manager asked in confusion.

  With his profound knowledge of souls, he could tell that Kenji and Keni were one being. But he had never heard of a situation where a body would have two souls of the same origin.

  Even twins would have vastly different soul structures and origins.

  “Are you… talking about… Keni? He appeared… after I got… [Dual Soul]…” Under the influence of the manager’s soul power, Kenji started speaking like a parrot.

  Getting all the information, the manager cast a spell, and both Kenji and Keni forgot the whole interaction.

  “Path Master really does live up to his name.” Seeing Kenji leave for his room, the manager couldn’t help but praise the Path Master.
