THE MASK OF PERFECTION
Episode 1: A New Beginning
*Opening Scene*
A dark room. A single dim light glows from the ceiling.
The camera focuses on the face of a young boy sitting at a table. In his hand, he holds a photograph of his parents.
Kvinn Santiago’s green eyes are cold, yet a deep, unspoken pain can be seen within them.
A distant scream echoes somewhere in the background. Kvinn slowly begins to smile.
“Everything is going according to plan,” he says quietly as he stands up and leaves through a hidden door.
*The Next Morning*
Eighteen-year-old Kvinn moves to a small town called Horizon with his fifteen-year-old sister, Lori. It has been exactly one year since they tragically lost their parents.
Horizon is a peaceful little town where people seem to live their everyday lives without a care in the world.
Kvinn and Lori stand in front of their new house. Lori looks around nervously.
“This place feels strange… Are you sure it’s going to be okay here?” she asks quietly.
“It will be perfect, Lori. I promise,” Kvinn replies with a reassuring smile.
Lori believes him, because Kvinn always knows exactly what to say.
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
But inside Kvinn’s mind, something else is already unfolding:
the new school, the new people… and his new disguise.
*At the New School*
The school is spacious and modern, its hallways filled with noisy students.
Kvinn enters first. In his uniform, he looks flawless, immediately drawing attention.
In the classroom, the new students are introduced: Kvinn and Lori.
Mattheus:
The always energetic blond boy quickly walks up to Kvinn.
“Welcome to the team! I’m Mattheus. If you need anything, just tell me!” he says in a friendly tone.
Kvinn quickly analyzes Mattheus and decides he might be useful, so he continues the conversation politely.
Martina:
Martina, a blonde girl with blue eyes, becomes Kvinn’s desk partner. When she introduces herself, she looks at him slightly nervously.
“Hi… I’m glad you’re here. I’m Martina.”
Kvinn smiles calmly at her.
“I’m glad to be here too.”
Martina immediately feels drawn to Kvinn. Even though she tries to hide her feelings, it becomes obvious from the very first moment.
Nicolas:
During the first break, Nicolas—the troublemaker—and his friends find Lori in the hallway.
They start harassing her with rude comments. Lori, frightened, tries to get away.
Kvinn arrives just in time.
“Lori, are you okay?” he asks calmly, then turns to Nicolas.
“I think you should leave her alone.”
Nicolas laughs mockingly.
“And what if I don’t?” Nicolas asks confidently.
“You’ll regret it,” Kvinn replies.
“Then try me,” Nicolas shoots back.
*Thirty Seconds Later*
With a single movement, Kvinn knocks Nicolas to the ground with a perfect Taekwondo kick.
Nicolas gets up and storms away angrily, silently promising himself that he will get his revenge.
*Luke Appears*
Inside a police office.
A twenty-five-year-old detective named Luke is studying a wall covered with evidence. The case of the missing people is drawing more and more attention.
Luke carefully examines the files before frowning.
“Something isn’t right… These people aren’t disappearing by accident. And when they return… they start killing. This is far too systematic to be a coincidence.”
*Meanwhile*
Kvinn sits in his room, drawing a complicated plan in a notebook.
His sister is already asleep.
Under the cover of night, Kvinn quietly leaves the house.
The streets are silent as he turns into a dark alley.
“This is only the beginning.”
To be continued…
